Santa Fe Ranch

Description of Work: I have been working with Gwen on the design of my house that is under construction and guest house. She has been such a doll helping me pick materials, colors, furniture, and accessory items. My husband and I are looking to do this very western themed so I was very lucky to find the store and the woman behind it. We have been warehousing most of the furniture so we can have a quick move in and they have been extremely accommodating to our unique requests and situation. We are planning to continue working with Gwen and her team at Santa Fe Ranch and include other areas in our new house.

Description of Work: My wife and I ordered a Flexsteel leather furniture set through Leather Furniture Center by phone after viewing their website in October 2012. We were told that delivery would be in aprox 12-14 weeks. We were charged 50% down on our VISA card (which they did) and informed us that the balance would be charged on delivery. We spoke with a company representative just before Christmas and were informed that there was going to be an additional delay because of the holidays; all employees would be off for a week. We then observed on our credit card account that we had been charged the full remaining amount, but we have not been contacted by the company and have not received the furniture. We have left numerous messages with Leather Furniture Center but none have been returned. We have subsequently found out through Flexsteel that Leather Furniture Center's check(s) to Flexsteel for the furniture we ordered (and evidently other orders) bounced. Flexsteel is therefore holding the furniture in a warehouse. Flexsteel is among several entities we are in contact with to resolve the problem and a rep of theirs does appear to be making the effort to keep us informed. We are still hoping to have a new undamaged Flexsteel leather furniture set delivered to our home, but can only be so patient. Leather Furniture Center has failed thus far to provide us with anything other than a loss of 4475.00 dollars and the inevitable attorney fees should our present course of action be fruitless. We strongly advise anyone not to patronize this furniture dealer which by many accounts is beginning to look like a scam for those seeking quality leather furniture. Leather Furniture Center also goes by the name of Santa Fe Ranch Furniture.
