Since this was the first....and LAST, time I will ever deal with these people, I would say overall it wasn't good. I found out the women is Jeromy's mother. I have also heard from any one in Okeechobee that has ever heard of Morgans ,without any prompting from me, consider her the same thing I do, so apparently that is her normal deMEANor. Honestly, I believe she is the whole problem, so the only way I would ever go back there is if she were gone. The few times I dealt with Jeromy, he was a lot more considerate, but that doesn't change the fact that I spent $200 on a generator that is still not fixed.
Description of Work: I took a generator into this place that would not stay running. I didn't know the history of this generater because it was given to me by some one who runs a 501c3 who I do a lot of volunteer work for. She told me it was new. (In her defence, she does not know about generators and she takes people at their word so when the person who donated these two generators to her for a tax deduction, she believed them.) I know a little about generators, therefore I thought it was either a carburetor problem or a bad oil shut off switch. When i took it into Morgans, the young man that I spoke with agreed. I informed him that a young man in my nieghborhood took a look at it and adjusted the carb, but it didn't fix the problem. I believe the mans name at Morgans was Jeromy. He called me back several days later and told me the kid in my nieghborhood put the carb back w/o a piece, (highly unlikely) and he thinks the oil switch also needs replacing. I specifically asked if I was going to be charged for both items. (I didn't care, it was a free generator, i just wanted to know how much money to allocate) He informed me I would be charged for the oil switch repair. He specifically stated "....we are still in the $100 range" I went back with about $120 to pick up the generator. BTW I live in a very rural area, so the closest big town is 20 miles away so it was a drive to get to this place. The women that was there, later I learned that this women was Jeromys mother, was a total b****. I got there 15 minutes before they were supposed to closed, on my way home from errands, and the woman there was on her way out. If she wanted to leave she could have just politely asked me to come back tomorrow, but she didn't, she was a total b****. Then she told me my total was about $200. I told her Jeromy estimated it would be less and I didn't bring that much cash with me. I could have used a card, but I wanted to talk to Jeromy first. I ended up just going back and picking it up at $200. The generator ran fine.........for about 6 hours. The next time I fired it up, it was doing the same thing. I took it back and dropped it off. The woman, so I left it. For the next month, I was very involved in a project and I had another small generator to use, so I didn't call them, but figured they would call me when they fixed it correctly. They didn't. When i was done with my project, I called them and spoke with Jeromy. He claimed he had called me and heard me say hello, but then all he heard was a click and no further response from me. I don't ever remember getting a call like that, but I do live in a rural place and I was very busy, so it was possible. He informed me he had called the generator company and conclude the generator was not worth putting any more money into.
