UPDATE: Pampering Plumber is still sending out spam e-mails to FORMER customers (I stress FORMER). PLEASE stop!!!
"Yes, we did use emails that were given to The Pampering Plumber to get the "word" out on a new business . Although unrelated to plumbing , the new business is run by the same honest people with exactly the same value toward customers and staff . The moment this customer asked to be removed from this list we did so IMMEDIATLEY . We also reponded to her request to be removed , with our sincere apologies for what she condidered an abuse of information. The Pampering Plumber had no intention of malice and regret that the work performed a year ago to the complete satisfaction of this client , by the way , would generate such a negative reveiw and opinion of our operation . This was admitedly a mistake and we took the neccessary steps to both rectify and apologize. The Pampering Plumber is made up of folks with the highest integrity who make mistakes. . We have a stellar reputation and pride ourselves in being fair and honest people simply doing our best to make every experience positive . Once again we offer our apologies and anyone who does not want to recieve the emails simply need to ask to be unsubscribed . I am available anytime to discuss 813-597-0309 Colleen Suojanen , President"
"I looked into this complaint thoroughly and have come to the conclusion that these issues are unrelated in my professional opinion . First of all ,on 10/14 we dispatched a technician to diagnose what was thought to be a leak under the bathtub ( that is what the person called us for). Our technician found that the tub was not draining Drain was blocked . Our technician spent the better part of 2 hours in the home , diagnosing, snaking , clearing and cleaning up the water . It is standard procedure for a blocked tub drain to run a snake first and test to see if everything runs clear . The technician did just that , rand the tub , ran the sinks , flushed commodes and everything ran clear We received a call two weeks later (10/28)stating that when the toilet is flushed the tub backs up . This is considered a whole house stoppage, it is highly unlikely it was related to the original call and would be virtually impossible to foresee if everything was running well and clear for several weeks. The owner wanted a call from our manager ( who did indeed call and leave two messages , with no return phone call) . Apparently , the owner called another company who used a camera to diagnose the stoppage ( something we would have suggested at this point as well ) While I understand it can be frustrating having to pay for plumbing services twice in the matter of a few weeks , I feel we did everything by the book, and did not leave the house on our original call with a stoppage. We would have been glad to discuss the options with the owner and have tried a few times to reach him , but have not been successful in contacting him . I can be reached at my desk at 813-897-0309 to discuss . Respectfully , Colleen Suojanen, President"
wall and causing a leak in the kitchen. From start to finish it took 30 minutes.
Called Pampering Plumber on 10/18/2013. My husband told Claudia our water heater was 20 years old and she was very surprised we hadn't had any problems with it. He told her about the brown water problem and asked was it worth it to have it drained, cleaned out, etc. In the end we would still have a 20 year old water heater.
We decided we wanted a larger unit, but the area available for the heater prevented any thing larger than 40 gallons.
Justin arrived an hour and a half later, took out the old unit, put in the new unit, cleaned up and was on his way.
If we have any plumbing problems, we would definitely call Pampering Plumber.
AND, we had the $25.00 off Angie's List coupon. Justin handed us 3 scratch off coupons to see if we could earn a larger discount. The coupon I scratched was $25.00. Justin told us to keep the other 2 for future services.
"Don't forget to use the scratch off's . Could be good for up to $100 off ! Thanks for your business , we look forward to servicing your home next time . Best , Colleen Suojanen, President"
"Justin is a great guy and we will not let him go . Thank you for the great review ! Colleen Suojanen, President"
"Justin will be ecstatic at your stellar review !! Thanks for taking the time to post a review . Respectfully , Colleen Suojanen , President"
Eddie quoted a very competitive price (I had done my online pricing research beforehand) for a name-brand product and installed a brand new softener which he had on his truck. The company applied their $59.00 service call charge to the price of the softener.
There was also a problem with the softener flush drain hose: it was a flimsy rubber hose, too short, and it did not discharge in the correct location to keep the flush water from contaminating our landscape plants. For a very small fee, Eddie trenched 52' by hand next to our house and installed a new PVC drain pipe. The flush water, which is not a problem for our St. Augustine grass, no longer threatens any of our landscaping.
Also while here, Eddie discovered the cause of a small sinkhole in our landscaping which I had been repeatedly backfilling: a cut rubber irrigation hose, with its severed sprinkler head buried deep under a bush that our landscaping contractor planted last fall. As Eddie said, "Whoever did this knew they did it." He quoted me a price, had all parts on his well-equipped truck, and repaired the hose and repositioned the sprinkler head during his visit. I know I paid more than an irrigation contractor would have charged because Eddie told me that and said I could save money by calling somebody else. But he was here, ready to do the work, so I decided to have him go ahead. He did a great job, even backfilling the sinkhole with the dirt he had piled up from burying the water softener.
Finally, Eddie scheduled a free visit in a month just to check on the softener and see if we're happy with everything. Based on this visit, my wife Karin and I would recommend The Pampering Plumber to anybody without hesitation. Literally the best experience we've ever had with a plumber!
"Thank You for the great review !!! We look forward to working with you in the future . Best , Colleen Suojanen , President"
"It is never fun discovering a leak and /or water in your home . We are pleased that you found the experience to be less of a headache because you called The Pampering Plumber . Thank You so much ! Colleen Suojanen, President"
They then suggested United Water to dry out the walls and floor. Not knowing any better I said yes. United Water proceeded to remove about a foot of the tile and wall, disposing of the tile (without consulting me) therefore having to replace it with new tile. Being old tile I cannot match it.
"I have spoken to the technician who performed the demolition on this vanity. His contention was nothing was discussed about saving any fixtures , in fact the sink and faucet were rusted to disrepair. The vanity itself was rotted and wet for a very long time. It is standard for a company to haul away debris particularly if it is in such bad shape. We have photos of the damaged material and I have attempted to contact this client to offer these pictures for her insurance company . As for the company hired to dry out the walls, we try to partner and refer top quality companies. Most folks would know if you have to pull tiles from a surface , they are usually deemed unusable , due to breakage . It is an unfortunate situation having to demo a cabinet due to a leak that was ongoing such as this one. I would be happy to provide the customers insurance company with any information we can upon request . Best , Colleen Suojanen , President"

"On 11/13/2011 we were called on a weekend for a complaint of no hot water . The technician diagnosed a bad thermocouple and replaced the part under warranty (parts were warranted by manufacturer, labor was not ) the client agreed ahead of time to a $259 charge. After this work was completed the homeowner called questioning the price and was issued a $50 credit toward his next service call to smooth things over , even though he pre-approved in writing the quoted price . On 7/31/2012 we were called to diagnose a problem with pilot light. Our technician used special tools ( manometer) to determine the water column for the heater . It was determined that the gas pressure was insufficient and the homeowner would have to call the propane company supplying the gas. As per our policy the charge was $59 for this call and [member name removed] did not use his $50 credit towards this fee. As for the latest call, our technician spent 1.5 hours at the home on 9/3/13 his educated diagnosis was that the Pilot light assembly needed to be replaced. Unfortunately , we do not stock this part and none of our wholesale suppliers carried that part. Our office spent the better part of the day trying to locate this part from companies that we have accounts with to no avail . We did locate it out of state and offered to pay the additional cost to do so. By the time ( the same day ) the client was informed of this he had called his gas company to supply the part and replace it . I can say with all certainty our staff has gone above and beyond to try to help fix this issue with the water heater , I myself witnessed the staff calling all over the state to locate the part ( we would not call the clients gas company because we do not have an account with them ) . I am terribly sorry that the client feels that we did not want to "do the work" , I can only point out the typically stellar reviews that the fine folks at Angie's List give us . It is my understanding that the problem is solved and would be happy to discuss if otherwise with the client . the direct number to my desk is 813-597-0309 Best, Colleen Suojanen, President Colleen"
Upon contacting The Pampering Plumber, I was told that I had to locate the leak before the plumber could repair it. They referred me to I Find Leaks.
After that firm located the leaking copper water pipe inside the concrete-block garage wall, I contacted The Pampering Plumber for the repair. Their service technician, Eric Wickstrom, arrived that same day for the permanent pipe repair. While here, he also repaired two other faucet problems that had not caused the leak, but needed to be fixed. Eric was very professional and cleaned the areas after the repairs.
Subsequently, I received a follow-up, thank-you card of appreciation from Eric, and a phone call from Claudia, thanking me for using their services and asking if the results were satisfactory.
I highly recommend this firm for its employee responsiveness and attention to customer satisfaction. I also noticed that the company responds to customer reviews on the Angie's List website. This is a company that CARES!
I will use them for any future plumbing requirements.
"Love to hear good things about our individual technicians, Art will be thrilled . Best wishes in your new home ! Colleen Suojanen , President"
bathroom and they did an exceptional job. Our primary contractor said he wanted to
use them again on the next project.
We had an issue with a drain, called them, asked for the gentleman who installed
our bathroom and were pleased with the promptness, friendliness, and expertise
"Always a pleasure to know that we are called upon again and again . Thank You for your trust and business Colleen Suojanen, President"
I didn't want to call the plumber I'd used before because their prices are astronomical. I called the Pampering Plumber and the gentleman's name who came out was Bill Larson. He was super friendly and very informative. I always appreciate when the repairmen explain to me what's wrong and what they're doing. He gave me the price and it looked much better than what I know I would have gotten from the previous vendor. Bill went to work and removed the garbage disposal. He had to do some creative work in order to get around some things my husband had done on previous do-it-yourself, Tim-the-Toolman-type repairs. He put in two new drains that were more heavy duty than the ones replaced. The leaking was being caused by something that was wrong in one of the drains. He also replaced the cartridge in my Moen faucet that had become very corroded since we have well water. I know this will happen again, so I'll be calling them when it does. Even with our water softener and iron-remover, it's still a fact of life in Florida.
I had to call back next day because there was no hot water, but as I talked to the company rep on the phone, I discovered that the valve under the sink just needed to be turned on. However, I guess the hot and cold were coming out the wrong sides. I didn't really care but the rep insisted that it was something that needed to be corrected. Bill came out and re-positioned the cartridge in the faucet. Of course, there was no charge.
Approximately 6 weeks later, I used my dishwasher for the first time in a long time. It leaked all over under the sink. Nothing catastrophic, but I turned it off and wiped everything up, then called Pampering Plumber. Bill came right out again and discovered the dishwasher boot was cracked. He put a new one on, then ran the dishwasher to make sure. Everything was fine. And again, no charge. I love these guys!!
It's been eight months now and I haven't had a peep of trouble from my kitchen plumbing. I'd use this company again in a heartbeat.
"We are tickled that you posted such a lovely review . Thank You for taking the time to do so . Best, Colleen Suojanen, President"
"Thank you for your comments. I offer my apologies regarding the punctuality it seems that the previous customer had a larger problem than anticipated . We do our best to predict how long a service call will be but obviously do not always get it correct . Thank you for your patience in this matter , hopefully we will only get better . Colleen Suojanen, President"
"Thank you for the great review . It is always a wonderful start to a day when we hear that we have satisfied another client . Colleen Suojanen , President"
