We were surprised at how difficult it was to replace our existing entry doors with impact rated ones here in south Florida.  We discovered that it is easy to get a solid  fiberglass or a full length glass impact rated door but very difficult to get a fiberglass door with a partial glass insert which of course is what my wife wanted.  Impact door manufacturers and  impact glass manufacturers have entirely different catalogs and matching up compatible products is very challenging. We became frustrated with several contractors who only seemed interested in selling us an off the shelf item and would not take the time to help us customize what we wanted.  One contractor who was highly rated by Angie's List said he could not help us because we wanted a special order item. 
Husband and wife team Ron and Jen Conklin were willing to take the time to help us order exactly what we wanted.  It did  take a little longer to get the custom doors  but they were the only contractor who cared enough to make sure we were satisfied with the finished product.
If you are a "lowest possible price" shopper you may want to look elsewhere.  This is a small family owned business so they may ask for a larger deposit than some bigger companies, but the best service does not always come from the lowest bidder.  Ron estimated 3 hours per door for installation, it actually took him and a helper almost the entire day to complete installation, workmanship was first rate and clearly done by someone who takes pride in his work.   Very rare in my experience.

They called to confirm the appointment time and he arrived on time.  He replaced the rollers on three doors and the handles on four doors.  He was clean, neat, cleaned up after himself.  The doors slide great and the handles are perfect.  Our doors had little indents to slide the door and now we have regular handles.  
We actually had the appointment for him to replace the rollers on two doors and after seeing what he did, we asked him to do another door while here and he accommodated us.  Great company!

Very unprofessional.  Appointment for estimate not kept.  Apparently, they don't value the time of their potential clients.  Missing work to be home for the appointment and their not showing is not appreciated.  They need to work on their customer service.

Ron is great.  Everything went smoothly from start to finish.  He was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions.  I am very happy with his work.  He is honest and will tell you what needs to be replaced and what doesn't.

The job was done quickly and professionally.  I was discouraged from replacing the screen door and encouraged to just replace the rollers.  This was a considerably lees expensive option.

I needed one window repaired in my house (broken glass).  After trying a
couple of big box stores and getting ridiculously high quotes I tried
Angie's list.  It took a couple of days for them to call back but they
were very polite and professional.  They promised a date and time and
hit the mark right on.  Took 30 minutes top for him to replace the glass
and for the exact quote I got over the phone.  Very satisfied.

Busy Industry especially during Hurricane season but a great job, quick and easy and very reasonable price compared to others.

Found RC Windows through Angie List.  From start to finish everything was very professional.  We had a very large 18 foot window in the living room that water was coming through.  My husband tried to caulk it several times on his own but over time it never held.  Ron came out provided several options and ended up caulking the entire window outside with a special caulking that is flexible if the house experiences any settling.  The real test of his work was two days later we had Hurricane Issaac and experience very heavy rain and not one drop of water came through.  Needless to say we are very please with the work that was done and would highly recommend RC Windows.

I needed screens for my house. Relying on Angus List I chose RC Windows & Doors LLC. I called and the appointment was made around my schedule, Ron came, took measurements, fixed a sliding door problem. I gave half the cost up front (total cost $400.00) and paid the rest of the balance when the job was complete. Ron was in and out, cleaned up, there really was no mess to start with. The place looks great. I would recommend the company.

Ron arrived on time and immediately went to work to repair the door.  The rollers were shot and he was done within an hour or less.  He was very dog tolerant and put them at ease by petting them.  I could not believe how easy the door is to open now.  It truly is with just a touch of the finger and the door opens.  Very knowledgeable and a skilled craftsmen in his trade.  Would highly recommend him to anyone who is struggling to open their sliders not to put it off any longer.
