I purchased 20 hurricane impact windows from CWS, and I regret it immensely. The purchase was made in October 2017 through Lowe's. The windows arrived in early March 2018 for installation, and upon inspecting them; I called Lowe's to tell them that I did not want the windows because they were scratched and dented. I was told that CWS would send a technician to fix the windows. Because of these assurances, I agreed to the installation of 13 of the 20 windows. The remaining 7 windows were either missing brackets or were poorly assembled. Of the 13 installed windows, three of them had defective balance systems and they would not open. To make a long story short, I asked for a refund of the seven windows I returned after many back and forth phone calls. It is now October 2018 (almost 8 months later) and I am still waiting for the technician from CWS to repair the three windows that do not open because of the defective balance systems. As to the dented windows already installed, I guess I would have to learn to live with them. Dealing with CWS has been quite a nightmare. I am purchasing the remaining impact windows and doors from PGT. CWS - never again!!
