Willie The Bee Man Inc

Rodent Pest Control Service, Bug and Insect Pest Control Service, Bird and Bat Pest Control Service,

About us

Bee removal is something most people have never had to deal with. When most people find a honey bee infestation on their property, they usually don't even know where to begin to. Luckily, you've come to the right place. Family owned and operated, with 8 fully equipped trucks, Willie the Bee Man is one of the largest bee removal companies in Florida because bee removal is all we do. Willie and company have been quoted and interviewed for local and national tv and newspapers, as well as being on National Geographic, Discovery, CBS, NBC, ABC , Fox, CNN, NPR and others. Bee Removal requires a delicate touch, especially when the honey bees need to be removed from within your residential or commercial property. Bee removal can also be tricky since most of the time all you will see is a dozen or so honey bees going in and out of a hole on your property. What most people don't expect and are surprised to find is that right behind that opening are thousands if not tens of thousands of bees helping build and protect the colony being established in the cavity. Once the cavity is opened and we expose the honeycomb, for most customers it is shocking to find that there can be 50, 60, even over 100+ lbs of honeycomb waiting to be removed if the hive has been there for a good amount of time. To see the where to look for bees and the most common spots bees build, click here. When engaging a bee removal company to get rid of bees, the first thing to check is that the company is licensed and insured. Proper bee removal will usually require opening the cavity that the bees are building in, whether it be the wall, roof or soffit of your property. The bee removal process is stressful enough without having to worry about whether the work will be done correctly. Proper licensing assures that the company is accountable for their work and that they have taken the time to get the continuous training and education requires.

 Could not have been better.
The techician, Andre, arrived on time & explained what he would do & asked if we wanted him to proceed.
He then proceeded to find, remove & treat the area where the bees had built their hive.
Following the removal he met with us to explain exactly what had been done, & what would happen
over the next several days. He was outstanding.
If Willie the Bee Man has others like Andre as part of his company,
it is no wonder that the company is so highly rated.
Angie we thank you for being the source for us of Willie the Bee Man
as part of your comprehensive service. Very glad we are members.

They explained what they were going to have to do.
They kept me informed as they were investigating the situation.
They proceeded with what had to be done.
They explained what happens next (some bees are visible for a few days afterwards).
And they did the above politely and efficiently.

They gave excellent service.  I contacted them on Wednesday morning at 815AM and they were at my home by 10AM, on time.  The manager on the phone was detailed, professional and courteous.  2 technicians arrived at my home, on time.  They were polite, professional, and knowledgeable, and spoke English to me. They took a look at the problem, gave me an estimate, I accepted, and they went to work.  They thoughtfully minimized the damage to the soffit area, and removed a large honey bee hive from inside the soffit.  They carefully cleaned up everything involved with the process, and left my home in as good or better shape than it was when they arrived.  90 minutes after arrival they were done and gone. The price was reasonable and even less than I had expected.  I am a "tough grader" but, cannot think of any way they could have improved their performance.  I would use them again and highly recommend them.

The best! Quick response, expertly drilled holes and removed entire hive. I learned a lot about bees that day! And they very nicely gave me a small discount for being a teacher ? what a nice surprise!

My problem was solved and I haven't had bees since then. I just joined Angie's List and want to give them a shout out.

We had an active hive near the roofline of our 2 story townhouse which had been there for several months.  It wasn't clear where the hive was though the point of entry was easy to locate. The 2 techs from Willie's arrived within a few hours of my call and clearly knew exactly what they were doing.  They made two small holes and located the hive which was in the soffit.  They made a neat square hole  in the soffit and removed the entire hive one comb at a time. They didn't use any chemicals until the hive had been removed so that we actually ended up with some honey (which was quite good).  They were happy to explain the entire process and were knowledgeable and professional. They did an excellent job and it was so carefully done that it made the repair afterwards a relatively simple matter (Willie's does the removal but they do not do structural repair which we knew).
I hope we never get another bee colony, but if we did I would get Willie the Bee Man to remove it.

He never contacted me. I wrote him a long email and he never responded. He contacted another service provider that I originally had do the work and I was not satisfied with that. I guess they were friends or something like that.

The service so far has been good. The only complaint is they need to have a better billing plan and let you know ahead of time what the cost will be.

We were very happy with the service.  We knew we had bees that would not go away, but we had no idea how bad the situation was until the bee team opened up the soffit.
Both men wore protective clothing and they had all the tools they needed for the job.  Once the soffit was openened and the bees were located, bees were everywhere and it was not safe to be outside.  There were around 7 hives spread across a 4 feet length of soffit.  It took three holes to remove all the hives.  The entire job took around 2 hours.

I would urge extreme caution in using this company.  When the service rep showed up at my house, he performed a 5-minute visual inspection of the area where the bees were entering the house and of the interior of the house.  He then said that the problem was more complex than he had anticipated and that he would have to come back on another day.   He also stated that he would have to drill multiple holes in the house to locate the hive, some of which might be in the interior.  He offered to allow me to reconsider whether I wanted to use their services.  I told him that I thought this would be a good idea.  He then left.  This seemed like a fairly reasonable resolution.
The rep then returned shortly afterwards and told me that he had been instructed by the office to collect a $195 "service charge".  When I called the office to try and discuss this fee, the person with whom I spoke (presumably Willie himself) got angry with me and told me that he was "going to blackball me as a customer" (!!!).
I subsequently did some searches on the Internet and discovered that many other customers have posted about their unhappy experiences with this company.  If you are considering this company, I would advise that you first do a few Google searches and find out what others have been saying.

"09/13/12 Bees are going in between 1st and 2nd floor, may need to open from the inside ceiling, wanted for us to just spray, we explained to him that the best way to take care of the problem is to extract the hive. He also did not want to pay for the service charge of $195"

He did a fine job.  He came almost right away, he whacked it, and he was done.  The price was reasonable and we haven’t had a problem since.  He was right on time when he came out. Fortunately the bees were in the soffits and they weren’t in the attic. He told me what he was going to do and I told him to go ahead and do it.  He gave me an alternative; he could have broken open the stucco in the soffit and gone at them that way.  It would have been cheaper but I would have had to have the stucco redone and that would have been more expensive.  He gave us a 90 day guarantee in case they came back.  He told me what would happen with the honey and, sure enough, it did.  The honey leaked down the wall of my house.  We have a stucco house so it was no problem; it washed off with a hose.  He put on a uniform and hood and he put his own ladder up there.  There were bees all around him.  He squirted some stuff in there and then he sealed them up into the soffits. That was it.  He came down after 25 or 30 minutes.  I paid him and I was very happy.  He told me I was going to hear buzzing while they were trying to get out.  I heard buzzing for two or three hours and then I didn’t hear any more buzzing.  About two weeks later, the honey started running out the soffit because there were no bees there to take care of it. I picked up my garden hose and whacked it and off it came.  He did a good job.  I don’t know how much these people usually get; this is my first and hopefully last experience with bee removal.  The price seemed right to me.  He looked like he knew what he was doing.

They ripped off the soffit instead of injecting the dust into the roof. It didn't kill the bees and I had to have another exterminator come out to correct. I called Willy's back and he was very unfriendly and nasty about it.
Response from Willie The Bee Man Inc

"The beehive went further in from the soffit. Omar told him that the job wasnt completed this is what Omar wrote on completion . 07 31 12 Cut open 2 hole in the back soffit and remove bee hive customer did not want to open a hole inside sprayed and dusted. $495ck Member just wanted us to spray & dust again and Willie told him that the only way is to open from the inside to remove rest of bee hive , he refused. See photos of bee removal job"
