The price is between $79 -$119 depending on what you need done. I trust them. I thought the price was fine compared to others around here. The quality was good.

Ellsworth's personnel were professional , courteous, and helpful. After the detailed estimate, they scheduled my installation for the next day. The installation was quick and was less intrusive than I suspected it would be. I would certainly use them again.

I think it's better to wait a while before reporting, especially on major work like an A/C. There were some early problems, as stated, but all is well now. Better to have a thermostat problem than the A/C; the system, itself, has been fine. Ellsworth gave us a far better price than competitors, and their service has been very responsive. Hopefully, they won't have to be out again other than annual tuneup. But I am confident of a quick response, if necessary. I would certainly recommend them if asked.

I chose them because we used to own another property and they were the ones who came out to change out the A/C unit there. They're cheaper than home depot, good followup, always on time and just good in general. The inspector came out to look at the new changes and said the breaker was too small. They came out that same day and fixed it.

That went over great. I was told by another company that I would have to replaced the whole unit.

After the second time the A/C failed we contacted a different heating and air conditioning company to examine the air conditioner and provide information about replacing the compressor and air handler. On 8/20/08 their technician advised that the problem was a faulty contactor relay installation. Loose wires and an improperly crimped jumper wire caused the relay to short out and burn. Additionally the relay had not been properly reconnected to the compressor chassis. He replaced the contactor relay and the air conditioner worked properly after that. On that same day I called Ellsworth Heating and Cooling and advised Jack the service manager of the findings of the other company. I asked him to refund the cost of the improperly installed relay only. I did not ask for a refund of the service call charge. Jack the service manager at Ellsworth stated that I should have contacted him first and because I didn't he said you are out of luck and there was nothing they would do for me. Knowing that the A/C system is 12 years old I advised him I had not intended so much to make a repair as I was to have the system evaluated for replacement. But when the technician identified the problem to be faulty workmanship as a result of the previous repair I felt I had no choice but to allow him to complete the repair on the spot since I had already incurred a second service fee for them to come out and evaluate my unit. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I should have called Ellsworth and asked them to come out instead of calling the other company. But at the time I didn't think the problem was the result of poor workmanship, I thought it was just an old A/C system showing signs that it needed to be replaced. The fact that it did turn out to be poor workmanship by an Ellsworth Heating and Cooling technician is in my mind reason enough to at least refund the price of the contactor relay. This opinion, however, does not appear to be shared by management at Ellsworth Heating and Cooling, Inc. A complaint has been filed with the BBB...case is pending.

They are located nearby and when I had a question or two after they did the installation, they came right over. The workers are friendly and professional and show up on time when they say they will. I will continue to use them for future service for my HVAC needs.

The A/C stopped after 8 pm on Thursday in September. We were leaving Saturday for a week's vacation and wanted it fixed Friday. First thing Friday morning, I call the company I have a household appliance contract with and am told they can be here Monday at the earliest! I recall hearing from someone that Ellsworth is a good company, so I called them and was told they would be here within the hour! I also was told to check their website for any coupons that might apply and there was one for a free first call! The employee arrived about an hour later, thoroughly checked out the system, and told us that the only thing he could find wrong was the circuit breaker had tripped! (We never had that happen before, so we never checked our circuit breakers.) Therefore, there was no cost with my coupon for a free first inspection. He was honest about what caused our problem when he could have told us we needed a repair.
