 + -1 moreWe had a leak. They came out and figured out the problem. They caulked some screws, but it didn't last. The roof is already leaking again. They told us new siding needed to be put on the side of the house and that would overlap and stop the leaking. They said we could spend $50 on materials and do it ourselves. We asked if they would do it and they responded that they don't do any jobs under $650.

 + 1 moreChris was very professional, personable and thorough. Shortly before arrival, he called to let us know approximately when he would be arriving. Upon his arrival, we showed him the leak in our dining room, he then immediately went up on the roof, when completed came back inside and reported on his findings. He inspected the roof thoroughly, reporting to us that he caulked exposed nails on flashings, resealed around unsealed pipe collars, exhaust fans/vents, correcting our problem concluding that the roof was in good condition for its age. He took the time to advise us that the gutter coming from the second story roof to the first story had caused the leak problem because water coming out of the gutter was lifting the tiles which he glued and sealed. He even gave us advice on what needed to be done to redirect the gutter. He further gave us referrals for the gutter repair and repairing the dining room ceiling. There was absolutely no leak after this last bout of rain. Thank you Pride Roofing Services, Inc. for your excellent service.

 + -1 moreAfter reading through the fine print I cannot have anyone come and look at my roof, and the people they bought the material from they sent me a letter stating to get a satisfaction of lien. I gave them 4000 down when they wrote the contract. I then paid them in full when they started. I called them for a release paper on a lien because I have paid them in full. I have asked them to have the owner call me and he will not and he never came by.
Description of Work: When they put the roof on they had the wrong color, they got about half way up on the front and I walked out to get the mail and I told them they had the wrong color. They were surprised about what I was saying so they contacted the man who had set everything up and he said I was right it was the wrong color. They had to take everything they had done off, and I know it cost them money but it was not my fault. They got the pieces I ordered and put them on and then When my lawn care person came to mow my lawn all of his mower wheels were popped due to the nails that they left. On the order sheet it said they would clean up with a magnetic piece. My husband called them and told them what was happening and when they came out it was a lot of nails. They said they would send someone out and we also had them purchase the wheels that were popped due to the nails left and that was a extra charge of 251.26. So they replaced the roof and the tires. So we get the first rain since the new roof has been put up and we had 3 leaks. They sent someone out 3 different times and they were supposed to stop the leaks but then it rained again and it was leaking again from the exact same places. They said it was not their fault and they were not fixing anything else. They said it was something else causing the leaks. I said if it was something else they should have told us when they did the roof if there was another problem. They blamed it on our fireplace that has been there for 20 years. They guy that gave us the estimate should have said that. They were not careful with what they ordered, and their men left the nails. Now they are denying me of fixing the leaks they caused. He hung up on me and this is just not right.

Explained exactly what he was going to be doing. took about an hour. brought me up to the roof to show me what he had done as well as some problem areas. He was very nice and professional, and gave me some solid advice.

Description of Work: Chris, the owner came early and was already on the roof before I even arrived from my doctor appt. He in my opinion, is honest and starting sealing my vents on the roof that were leakin into my home, I already knew my roof was ok, and he confirmed. he did recommend a future vent installation, but did not hard press me. He gave me a quote there and then for thhe future, should I need this service. I would definitely use this company in the future.

 + 0 moreI bought the $49 roof tune-up. Chris came and did my roof inspection and identified the potential leak issue. Chris wrote a repair estimate for $1,300. I got a call about a week later for repair service. After peeling back the shingles, the serviceman identified the leak as an area of plywood that was just poorly installed. He sealed up the area and placed new shingles around the area to move the water away more effectively. The serviceman was friendly and knowledgeable about roofing. I got $100 off from the Angle's list special and Chris also removed some items that were on the original estimate, but not used in the actual repair (new plywood and flashing). Overall, I'm satisfied. I think the repair was pricy, but I feel that if I had a problem in the future Chris would really stand behind the work that was performed and I'm willing to pay a little more for peace of mind.

Chris, the owner, did the roof inspection himself. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail what areas we needed to address. Also, he is fully insured and licensed to perform any roofing services we may need. This is very important when hiring a contractor. We noticed a minor leak on a weekend, he responded, he called, he fit us in on his busy schedule and fixed the leak the same day, followed through and followed up. Thank God, Sean stayed till dark to ensure everything was completed before we got the torrential rain, the repair passed the test. Chris and Sean were very patient, very professional, helpful and honest. Next time I'll pay attention to the discounts and coupons on Angie's list to save some money.

 + -1 moreWe contacted Pride Roofing to have them evaluate the source of a leak, and get an estimate for a roof replacement. After contacting them, I received a confirmation email which included the name, license information, insurance coverage, and short bio of the person who would be coming out to the house. It also included information about when the last time our representative, Dan, had a criminal background check done. I don't know of any other service company that provides that information and it was a relief to know that the company takes into consideration the homeowners' safety and properly vets their employees. Dan showed up exactly when our confirmed time was scheduled, and was very polite and professional. He reviewed the water spot inside, and was able to successful locate the small leak immediately on the roof. He was very honest with us and told us that he could charge us to fix the spot but that we could just as easily do it ourselves and save a little bit of money. I have to admit I was totally shocked: he could have easily taken that opportunity to sell us on the repair, or on other repairs/replacement but he didn't. I was truly impressed by this. He also surveyed the roof for replacement and gave us a very rough estimate which was consistent with what we imagined the cost to be given the size of the house. Ultimately we did decide to repair the small leak ourselves, but I can assure you that if/when we need services in the future, we will be calling Dan with Pride Roofing.

 + -1 moreChris, the owner, went up on our roof to check on a leak. When he came down he had photos of cracks and holes in the stucco of our chimney. The most amazing part is that the next set of photos were of the repairs he made. He said that he did what he could to fill in the holes and cracks, but didn't want any money for it. If we wanted more extensive repairs he would be happy to do them, but he felt like the repairs he made would be fine. It is so refreshing to find someone like Chris. I feel like Chris has the character and values that I want in someone who works on my home. At a time when a roofer could tell me anything about what is wrong with our roof and I wouldn't know, I believe that I will always be able to trust Chris. I won't even bother to get other quotes when we need work done on our roof!
