The Roofing Company

They were fine when they came. Unfortunately the roof leaked in the same place they repaired about a month later. We called and they came out again and fixed the same spot. The guy who came complained about working for the company the whole time. That was uncomfortable. A few months later the roof leaked again and so we guessed we needed a new flat roof. I wanted to have them come out and get pricing for a new roof. I called several times and no one called me back. I gave up but recently in the past few days called them again, finally getting someone who said there was no record of the work they'd done and they did not have us in their files. I do need a new roof but will not use this company to do the work. Very disappointed in the lack of follow up and they don't seem organized.

Chris arrived on time, after calling ahead and letting me know he was on his way. He was friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions fully and patiently. THEN, he proceeded to repair a nail I had on the roof FOR FREE!! Who does that?? After repairing the nail, he measured the roof and gave me a very competitive quote. He has earned my trust and my business! This is the kind of person I want working on my roof and my house!

Chris came out and gave me an estimate to repair our roof. He called before coming, arrived as scheduled, and was very punctual with our estimate. He wrote the estimate up before leaving our home. I was very impressed with him. All of the other roofing companies have waited to send us an estimate via email and I had to call or text them before they sent it. We are still deciding who will repair our roof, but so far The Roofing Company has been the most professional.

The Roofing Company was incredibly professional and pleasant to work with. They were on time, completed the work very quickly, and provided feedback and recommendations for sustainment of our roof.

This was a $49 big deal. We weren't real happy with that because we paid, I forgot how much it was, but he didn't do anything. He got up on the roof and did not give me a written appraisal or anything for a new roof. I called another roofing company and they went up there for $20 and fixed it. I told him my roof was still leaking and he did not give me a written estimate or anything. He said it would be $678 or something like that to fix it. When I called him about this he said if he was ever in the Valrico area again he would stop out to take a look at it, but he never did. The tune up was not right. It was not even worth it. He was real nice and everything. If he had given us a written proposal it would have been fine. They were responsive and they did not show up on time. It was raining and he was stuck in traffic so it was not his fault.

I called on Monday, Feb. 1 and received an immediate response. A representative came the same day to inspect the roof as requested. Excellent service, I would definitely recommend the Roofing Company.

Chris (the owner) showed up on time for the appointment and was a very nice guy. We talked about the issues that I had with the roof and then he got to work. He went up on our roof and filled as many cracks and gaps as he could. He then asked for me to join him so that he could show me the sorry state my roof was in. Chris told me I needed a new roof (which I was pretty sure I did) and gave me a few alternatives to think about. He didn't do the hard sell, which I really appreciated. Unlike many vendors, he didn't use the old "if you don't sign today then you lose out on ........" I will likely wait until summer to get the roof done, and it's highly likely at that point I will be using Chris to do the work.

Courteous and professional young man Chris patiently listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I liked that he did not pressure for work and told me what should be done first and what could wait and what might not really need to be taken care of at all. Excellent sense of we're here whenever you need us to do whatever you can fit into your budget.

The team who replaced my roof was very professional. Showed up on time and got the job done. We hit a few snags as there are long screws sticking out of the bottom of the roof because no one within their company told them it was an exposed bottom and they said code required them to use these extra long screws... That being said the job was not done well as the roof leaked profusely the very first time it rained. A new team came out promptly and repaired the offending area stating their heat guns were not hot enough the first time to correctly melt the seams. This team was also prompt, and professional. Now 5 months later my roof is leaking again. I'm thanking my lucky stars I did not have this company re-roof the main part of my home. I have contacted them to repair the situation and am awaiting a response. Professionalism is nice, but I would rather the product actually work to protect my home from water. I would not recommend using this company for a flat or low pitch roof.

Technician was friendly and very professional. It was apparent to me that he was not trying to rip me off. Would definitely recommend him for roof repair jobs.

I have a roof leak with water entering front corner of my garage. The repair will cost $1050.00 including the permit. The work will be started when permit is received.

I don't know, I haven't had a good rain since they have done it. Other than that they did alright so far. They came out around August to do the work. These people left rough edges around front of our house in the roofing and when they were done they left all the nails and all of these torn off, my screens and they left sort of a mess but I didn't know until a couple of days later. So I call them and I report them, you know, about the torn off of the screen, you know, my screen tore in the corner and they came back and until they were fixed I had to report and it was pretty hard to deal with these people. Before I did work with this company, actually I worked with them 2014 about October and I, they came to the house casually, you know a few spots casually done. I was not very happy but you know I call, they call and finally give them another chance and still you know we made the deal for just, you know, okay, I'm going to give you this and you get this credit, well you didn't do a very good job. They left it half way done because they said they were done so you know after rain come after two or three months and the roofing was leaking again. So I report them, report them, they didn't even respond too well. So I called after about three months I reach with the superintendent which he had issues, he was out, you know, finally I contact with him and he come back and I make the deal and then, he's a really, personally he's a really nice guy, but the company how they handled this job but I can say, and finally I had to deal with them and give me the credit for what I have paid you 2014 you guys came and pressured the gun. I give you this credit and give you the money for this job, whole roofing done, so that's why I got the good price with them of $7500. They came back and fixed my screen. .

Chris Hloska, owner, arrived at the scheduled time and spent about 30 minutes inspecting our roof. He did some caulking and secured shingle nails as needed. He was very thorough and gave me a report on how long my roof should last until replacement (about five years). Chris was very personable, and i plan to use him in the future. I highly recommend him to others.

Needed to have our 21 year old title roof replaced. Started setting up estimate appointments with 9 roofing companies. That itself was quite educational. I encountered roofing companies that covered the entire spectrum. Some while talking to their representative you felt that they would be out of business in a few months. Prices ranged from $28,000 to $42,000 for the same roof doing the same basic activities. When Chris of "The Roofing Company" came to the door. I felt something different. His presentation, information and brochures he provided. I felt this guy is a straight shooter. He answered all my questions and explained thoroughly exactly what activities and associated timelines his company was going to do removing and replacing the roof title. He also provided samples of the all products to be utilized for the re-roof project. So I could research the product manufacture to verify the quaility of products he was going to utilize on my roof. The various crews (removal, preparation, TPO Installation and title installation). They all were very professional and cordial. Every evening, I would go up on the roof to review the progress. I was very impressed with the quality of work being accomplished, including the amount of nails and the quantity of foam adhesive applied per title. The finished product looks fantastic !!!! When the neighbors walk by they all comment on how great the roof looks and the super job that was accomplished. We are in a development that all the homes have title roofs that currently need replacing in the next few years. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND " THE ROOFING COMPANY" TO THEM. Chris Hloska, President, arrived on time after calling to say he was in a bit of traffic. Chris then did a thorough review of my roof, told me I had a few years left, and performed light caulking on two problem areas at no charge. Chris was professional, courteous and has definitely earned my future business for sure! I would recommend this company to all.

An appointment for the estimate was scheduled immediately upon me contacting them. They showed up on time, explained all of the options to me and were very friendly and professional. The estimate was free, and the quote came in under what the other companies had quoted. We will be using this company to replace the roof in the future!

Chris was really professional, friendly and the contractors he sent were friendly and professional. However the job that was done did not resolve the issue. We were quoted and told this was the problem; however we still had the leak going on. When we reached out, they were professional enough to send the supervisor to take a look and he did some work. The issue still continued and when we called, the contractor was sent back and he did a great job looking and searching before he finally said what he thought the problem was. My issue, is that we were re-quoted another $1400 to repair the new area where they thought the issue was coming from this time. When my husband and I try to reach out to find out our options and what would happen if this time the issue was still unresolved, we never hear back from them. That was very unprofessional on their end and it looks very suspicious. It is unfortunate that we thought we have finally find a company we could depend on and it turns out to be the opposite. I am really disappointing in the way we were left hanging after paying $1140 for a problem that was not fixed and was willing to pay the additional fee but was ignored. Not sure if we would use them again.

I bought the coupon for the tune-up and repairs with a $100.00 discount on required repairs. Chris showed up at the appointed time and date. He was very professional and courteous. He completed the work in a timely fashion and made necessary repairs. My coupon covered all costs. I also asked for an estimate to replace the roof, he did measurements and presented me with a couple of options as well as brochures about products he recommends. I was completely satisfied with his work as well as his suggestions. Highly recommend The Roofing Co.

It went excellent! They were there when they told me, were nice and took care of the issues. I will not call around any longer for a roofing issue, I am going straight to these guys... Again, while everyone else wanted to schedule me out 5 to 7 weeks they worked me in quicker. At first they were also a few weeks out but when I explained there was damage happening inside the house and that I got their name from Angie's list and they worked me in that week. Great job and great customer service...

I called The Roofing Company to get an estimate for a roof repair, and also a replacement as our roof is approximately 17 years old. It took about 3 weeks to get an appointment which I was initially disappointed about, but this was after a slew of heavy rains so I understand that business probably increased. I scheduled my appointment through Themi, who was very responsive to my emails and flexible with my unique work schedule. On the day of our scheduled appointment (about an hour before hand) we had a family emergency come up so I called to cancel our appointment. The person I spoke with (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was very accommodating and supportive of our situation. I apologized for the late notice, and she said it was not a problem. About 30 minutes later I called back to see if we could keep our original appointment after a change of plans, and The Roofing Company told it was no problem and they would be there as originally planned. Chris called me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, and his approximate arrival time. Chris was very professional and friendly, and brought me outside to explain the leak problem and how water was entering the house. He explained to me that the solution was fairly simple, told me that we could fix it ourselves, and even gave us the caulk and sealant so that we didn't have to go to a home improvement store to buy it. I am truly blown away. This type of customer service is something you rarely see nowadays, and I'm impressed by how this company treats their customers. This is actually the SECOND time The Roofing Company has taught me how to fix our roof DIY when they could have easily up-charged us, and gained business. They previously came out a few months ago to check a similar leak in a different part of the house, and provided us the same courteous and respectful service. We also received a roof repair estimate which was almost exactly what I expected the cost to be based on the size of our house. I'm confident that when we do have to replace our roof we'll be in good hands with Chris and The Roofing Company.

I never thought of having a roof tune up done before, but went with this angie's deal because I really wanted a roof leak fixed and thought I could kill two birds with one stone. It took about 3 or 4 weeks before they could make it out to the house, but it was the rainy season and I have always heard that it takes any good roofer that long to make it out to fix a leak - there are a lot of leaky roofs in St. Pete. I got what I paid for; polite, professional, affordable service. If it still leaks the next time it rains, he committed to coming back out and taking care of it. He pointed out some problems with the roof and took measurements if I want to put a new one on, but didn't hard sell me to do a full new roof. He advised me to wait and see how it goes and only replace if things go south. Cool with me.
