The person who came was very professional. We had a leak through a vent caused by high wind during the storm. He recommended no further repair needed at this time. We appreciated his honesty about the condition of our roof. We'll need a new one within a year or so but he didn't try to sell us one right now. We'll definitely consult with them when we are ready to replace.

Fantastic. He did a through inspection of the roof and performed needed maintenance. He identified what caused the leak (a clip that had worn through the shingle) and repaired (sealed) it. He said the vent pipe flashing had been chewed by squirrels ("it's like crack to them") and he resealed them to prevent water penetration. He reported on the condition of our roof and chimney. The chimney is showing signs soft wood deterioration and will need replacement. We should start a planning for the soft wood repair in 3-5 years. He also advised us about maintenance and remaining life (about 5 years) on the shingles. He told us what we needed to know in a factual and informative way. We have had torrential rains since the work was done and there were no leaks. He exceeded our expectations in every way.

Chris came within the scheduled time window. Went straight to working on the roof inspection. Gave recommendations of where we would see issues in the future if not corrected.... found nails that needed to be resealed...did that.... gave recommendations for people who could help with the issues we needed to fix. Excellent customer service and extremely honest. So wonderful that I purchased another tune-up for my parents house. Will continue to do annual tune-ups and any repairs/replacements through The Roofing Company.... Ask for Chris.... hes awesome..... great communication as well.

The new roof is very good. It has held up nicely and they cleaned up well after themselves. They are very responsive. Today, he came out, and was very honest. He explained the problem and told me what to do about it. He did not charge me anything.

What a refreshing experience with a roofer. Their motto says "old fashioned service" and they are top rate. They put the customer first and care about the customer. It was easy to schedule an appointment. They called the day before to remind me of the appointment and Chris called the day of appointment to let me know his approximate arrival time. Chris spent a good amount of time inspecting the roof and sealed around the vents and plumbing stacks. He also sealed some shingles that were lifted up. I told him about a leak and he spent time trying to determine the source and went into the attic to see if he could determine where the leak was doing from. He asked me to monitor it and call him back if it continues to give me problems. I will be calling The Roofing Company for any roofing needs I may have in the future.

Even before they started I was contacted each week to let me know the start date. Since weather affects their service, once you are on the list, they call each week to let you know how you are progressing on the schedule. The workers were on time, professional, fast and never sat still. They were respectful of my home and kept me up to date on any information on the roof. Each day someone came out to check how things were going and they called me many times to make sure things were going well. They completed the roof in 3 days and took pictures of the different stages and all the steps that they took. The city inspector who came out said everything was perfect. I had gotten quotes from 10 companies and they were not the lowest (they were the third lowest) but they impressed me with their desire to do good work. I could not be more pleased. The straps had to be put on every joist and they were the most reasonably priced for that task. I would recommend this company highly.

The guy came out and performed the tune-up and gave me some advice for repairing a section of the roof that had some damage that he could not fix with just the tune-up. Overall experience was very positive.

Great communication from the company. They scheduled an appointment for me that was within a week of when I made the $49 tune up purchase. They contacted me the day before to confirm and they were even able to come early on the day of the appointment. Chris was very friendly and told me exactly what he was going to look for. When he was done he explained what he had saw and the items that he had fixed. He told me what would be needed in the future if the leaking continued. Great experience and I would use them again.

Chris was very professional and knowledgable. He inspected the roof and found the leak problem. He explained the problem and his solution to seal the area around the puncture instead of a costly replacement of a section of shingles at this time. Our roof shingles are about 15 years old and Chris advised they would need replacement within two years time. He clean debris from the roof. He was efficient and pleasant to speak with. I would recommend this business for your roofing needs. We used the Angie's List coupon from the Roofing Company for the $49.00 tuneup. It was all we needed. Good job.

Chris was great. No up sell and he was thorough with his checks. Sealed a number of ladder marks and corners where a failure might occur. Offered helpful suggestions on how to keep the roof solid. Would definitely use again. I marked him down on punctuality, but with the rain and road closures in the area, not his fault.

For the rental property, the quote was received timely and a detailed estimate with different pricing options was provided. I had received several quotes and except for one quote provided by a contractor that couldn't provide proof of license or insurance, The Roofing Company was the best or within a couple hundred dollars compared to other estimates. I choose them because their estimate was detailed, and they were organized in terms of getting contracts and paperwork out to get the process started. Also, my main contact Chris always answered the phone or returned calls promptly. If you work with contractors as much as I do, this means a lot. The roofing job was awesome. Looked great! the crew was very nice and very professional. No cat calls, no asking for my number, etc which again, if you work with contractors as much as I do, says a lot. The foreman was fantastic. He introduced himself and even let me throw some trash in his dump trailer. A couple members of the crew at different points walked me around to show me this or that. They were proud of their workmanship and it showed. The job was quick, they did a great job cleaning up and I have received lots of compliments on roof. In the interest of full disclosure, I had three times during the process I called Chris (owner). First, the scheduling, when they got me scheduled the original time frame was a couple months out. I promptly called Chris, he let me know he would move some stuff around and let me know the following week when they could start. He got us scheduled within a reasonable time frame, problem solved. Second, a foreman went to the site to do a second walk around to prep for the job and informed me that the quote would need to be revised because the flat roof would need tapered insulation because there wasn't enough of a pitch to prevent water from pooling. I didn't think this was the case, so I got on the roof with a level and checked to see that it wasn't "level". Then had my boyfriend sweep it off, and check in several spots. It was hard to tell because there was so much debris that at that time the foreman went the water was pooling. I called Chris, he let me know he would go double check. He agreed that while it was very close, it would pass inspection and shouldn't pool once being replaced. Problem solved. Third, when the job was completed and final bill came back it was higher than anticipated because of the amount of fascia they replaced. I knew the fascia needed to be replaced and had planned to do so but wasn't aware that it required replacing during roofing. The did a fantastic job on the fascia but roofers are a bit more expensive than handymen when it comes to replacing fascia. I called Chris, he agreed to credit a portion that I would have saved otherwise to "keep a happy customer". Problem solved. The thing about any kind of major repair like this is that you will at some point, have a question or concern. That is for sure. The thing that sets The Roofing Company apart is that you can actually call and speak with the owner or foreman or project manager and work toward a resolution. This is worth a TON when you are spending ten or twenty thousand on a home repair. You want it right and you want someone to listen and address your concerns. I recently called Chris for a second (actually 3rd) opinion on my recently purchased future home. The shingle roof was 11 years old and the inspector said it was fine but the insurance company said it needed replacing. Additionally, another roofer said it needed replacing. I was more concerned with a flat roof that no one else seemed to worried about except the pool cage contractor who said he'd rather not attach a new cage to flat roof that would either fall apart or need replacing in a year. Called Chris, he checked it out and called me to let me know I had at least 5 years on the shingles but that the flat roof needed replacing sooner rather than later. He said it could make it a year but to plan on it in the near future. You really can't beat this honestly, he knows I'm prepared to replace it and still gives me an honest evaluation. He even offered to write a letter to my insurance company stating the same as the shingle roof was in good condition. I will always have The Roofing Company top of my list for roofing jobs. Final comment: I was never offered any incentives or discounts for this review. I never mentioned I would review and never threatened with a bad review. It's my unbiased honest evaluation. I think it's shady when companies offer gift cards and discounts for leaving a positive review. I don't review companies that do so.

The only reason that I chose not contract his services was due to referrals from friends for another company, otherwise he would have been my choice.

They first came out and said that the ladder wasn't tall enough and would call me to reschedule. They didn't call so I called them and rescheduled. That person was a no show. Another reschedule and then we were rescheduled again due to rain. Then there was another no show. At that point we stopped rescheduling. Tried to get a refund but Angieslist put some more barriers in the way. This deal was NOT a deal!

Everything went smooth from start to finish. The home we bought had been vacant for five years, and it had the original roof from 1980! There were a lot of rotten boards and the chimney had previous leaks. They built a cricket for the chimney to prevent further leaks. The company gave us a choice of several different shingle manufacturers, which we choose Certainteed. It took a few weeks for to get an appointment for an estimate, but thank goodness we waited! A representative came to the house when we were ready to sign the contract, and he returned a day later with the full shingle colors that we were trying to choose from. The crew arrived on time and were very polite and respectful of our property. The four man crew worked for two days, tearing off rotted wood and placing straps on the roof, which most companies refused to do. We were told that we would have to hire a contractor, but Chris from the roofing company told us that there was no reason to hire a contractor, that they do them all the time. We ordered the Certainteed Pro shingle that has a richer, more defined color. The roof is beautiful! Everything went so smooth and we couldn't have wished for a better result! A big thank you to The Roofing Company! I wouldn't consider hiring anyone else! I will definitely recommend them to friends and family!

I am very happy with the job the Roofing Company did replacing my roof and installing a new skylight. The price was very reasonable. The workmanship was excellent as mentioned by my the Wind Mitigation inspector (this was part of the overall service by the way and I thought that was a nice touch.) They were honest and cared about doing a good job. I would recommend them to anyone in need of an honest, reliable and reasonable repair or replacement.

Exceptionally fine experience! Most highly recommended! Reliable, timely, competent! At last, a roofing company that provides honesty and true value to their customers! I made an appointment for a roof inspection approximately 3-weeks in advance. The appointment secretary phoned me the day before to confirm the appointment. At my request I was notified 1-hour prior to the inspector's arrival... most appreciated! The company owner, Chris, performed the inspection personally. He was exceptionally personable and thorough, taking note of any concerns I had, and following up with a detailed verbal report following the inspection. He provided several tips for preventive maintenance to extend the life of the roof. Without a doubt, "The Roofing Company" occupies the top spot on my list of "go to" roofing contractors!

The Roofing Company may be the only honest roofer in the area. I had numerous leaks with a ten year old roof. I received quotes from 3 roofing companies, including the company that installed the original roof, and all of them told me I needed a new roof, at a cost of $12,500 to $14,000. The Roofing Company inspected the roof and informed me that I had one leak from faulty installation of a pool heater done with the original roof plus leaks around all of my bathroom vents. Again thanks to poor workmanship of the original provider. They repaired the roof and all is well. Call them!!
