Reliable Appliance Repair

Description of Work: He called to let me know that he was on the way (so nice to have a "heads up") and arrived on time. He explained the problem with our dishwasher was the pump and needed to order one and would call as soon as it was in. He called 2 days later and made an appointment to return. Again arrived on time and completed the work. I will always call them if I have any other problems in the future. Call them with confidence.

Description of Work: In response to our need to look at & repair a leaking washing machine, he arrived on time & was here about 30 minutes. He advised getting a new machine because ours is (GE) 13 years old. He was unable to dfiagnose the problem even though we told him that it leaked when we used it on "Superr Load" setting. He advised we run it until it fails completely & then buy a new one. He suggested getting a scratch & dent model as that would be cheaper for us, as long as it didn't bother us to do that. He even suggested, after I asked, where we could go for it. He also suggested staying away from a GE. Here it is 3 weeks later (3/27) and we've discovered a new problem......the setting dial is now not working at all. So, I pulled the machine out & looked at the back of it, only to find that it is leaking from the cold water hose connection. This could have been the source of our previous problem & I never knew it. I consider this a BASIC for a repairman to do. i did not stand over him as he worked, so i made that assumption. Looks now like I should have. I considered calling him back, but felt leery of doing so, in light of this experience. Also, since I was charged for only a SERVICE CALL, I think there is no guarasntee to fall back on, so I've gone with another company all together.

Description of Work: It 's hard to find an appliance repair company on a Saturday.....not many seem to be open. When my clothes dryer would not work this morning, my usual appliance repair man could not come until Thursday (and today is Saturday). So I went to Angie's List and found Reliable Appliance Repair who indeed did have hours on a Saturday. I called about 9:30 AM and was promised a service man would be at my house between 11:30 to 12:30. At exactly 11:30 Jim pulled into the driveway, checked out the dryer and confirmed what I suspected...a broken belt. He quickly repaired the belt and noticed that I was also having trouble with the dial.....yes, it had been acting up for a while....nothing serious...just annoying. Jim said he could order a new dial and would have it in some time next week....which was fine with me. So all and all it was a very good experience and I will definitely use Reliable Appliance Repair again in the future.

Description of Work: The service they gave was great and on time. They estimated the job and did not pressure me into doing the work. I found the repair men to be honest and very nice. The ref. runs great and the repair was on time. H.E.

Description of Work: They came within 2 hours, as promised. Technician found the problem, a broken switch, in 2 minutes & proceeded to repair the machine, which now works fine. Price was $117.17. I give them an A in all categories.
