LANDSCAPE CREATIONS

My wife and I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these people. We bought quite a few trees from them and scheduled to have them come to do the install. We kept being put off for the install and delivery and then when they finally did come a few of the trees were already rough looking. When we spoke to the owner to address the situation he was very nice around other customers but very condescending when no one else was around. We were constantly ignored or put off. They finally agreed to replace one of the dying trees but replaced it with a tree that was half the price and refused to compensate for the cost. They are very rude and deliver less than perfect trees for a big price. When we asked to have them replace the trees that are dying they absolutely refused and are now threatening to take us to court and put a lien on our house. I would never recommend doing business with them to even my worst enemy!

I have always loved this place. Would come to take pictures of the flowers and birds. I thought why not order from here for my landscaping needs. Well from the beginning everyone was friendly and helpful. Then appointments to have install were bounced around last minute. But that was ok life happens. So delivery day finally came and a few of the trees didn’t look so well. I was promised a guarantee that they would be replaced if they did not flourish. This is where things started to go to go wrong. I called multiple times with being avoided and text messages because the trees were dying. I finally got a message back a couple weeks later that they would replace one of the palms. I went to the store picked out two palms that equal the value of the one palm. Then was told via text that they would only give me one and that I would not be reimbursed for the remaining funds I paid. They refused to replace the other 2 dead palm trees and said it was due to my watering even though all the other trees were doing well.I followed directions for watering the trees like Randy told me to do.So long story short. If your looking to get ripped off and make a large purchase and roll the dice and hope that your trees don’t die and know that you won’t be getting them replaced. This is the place for you. They are very nice when they are setting up your order and taking your money but boy do they avoid and get nasty when a tree needs to be replaced. Save yourself the time and effort. Go somewhere else. Also all of my trees ans bushes that were installed were way out of the ground looks horrible. They came and put one of the trees deeper in the ground because it was falling over. I feel so ripped off and this is not how a business should be ran. Also the prices are way cheaper at Home Depot for the same plants and trees.

These guys are pros for sure.  Randy met me at my house, drew up a very professional design of what the landscaping would look like. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to the plants and what will look good.  The end result is amazing, a complete transformation.  My neighbors have been coming over asking for the company information, I am sure they will be getting more work on my street because of how beautiful it looks. 

I visited their retail shop on Plathe Rd. in New Port Richey to look around before beginning a landscape project at my home. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the wide variety of plants available there. I left without purchasing anything that day. I planned out my project and the plants I wanted, and returned to purchase. Again, the staff was friendly and helpful with my purchase. My yard looks beautiful!

Three workers came out the Tuesday and removed all the old landscaping and debris and prepared for the new plants.  On Wednesday the workers came and installed the new plants.  They completed about 90% of the project but two gardenia plants had not arrived and they needed some more small plants.   The owner came to see the progress of the work  and he called me to keep me informed of the progress.  On Friday they installed the reminder of the plants and the project was completed.  The gardenia plants were not available so they bought two larger gardenia plants and did not charge me for the difference.    It worked out pretty even since several of the other plants were also not available. Our home looks fantastic.  A number of our friends and neighbors have noticed what a difference the landscaping makes to our home and not to mention the lovely fragrance of the gardenia plants. I was given professional maintenance instructions and overall it was a very pleasant project.

He cuts the lawn, trims all the bushes and does all the weeding. If I need something removed or replanted he will. I like his work.

The owner, Randy Burkes, is very creative; he's been in the business since 1981. He came out and listened to exactly what I wanted and he came up with a design that was precisely what I wanted. The best way I can describe him is that he is an artist with plants. What really stood out about him is his professionalism, his plant material, organizational skills, and his work force. The people who came out and did the work knew plants and knew precisely what they were doing. It was a wonderful experience. I actually talked to four different people before I made a decision. If you are ever in need of re-landscaping, this Landscape Creations is the people to go to; you could save yourself a lot of time and a lot of frustrations. His plant material is excellent and he is a perfectionist. One of the plants didn't match colors so they are going to bring something else.

it was supposed to be a two day job starting on thursday. when they hadn't shown up by noon, i had to call to find out they were re-scheduling and would start friday. this should have been my first clue. then they showed up three hours late on friday. i had just spent $800 revising my sprinkler system to align with the new landscaping plan. they caused over $1400 in damage to my sprinkler system including breaking one of the valves and cutting the electrical line, all of which they said wasn't covered in the contract. i agree it wasn't covered but i didn't expect that to mean they could do as much damage as they wanted and not be responsible. since the time the work was done (almost three yrs ago), i have found several additional broken sprinkler lines which they knew they broke and covered up with rocks and debris so it was hidden. if they knew they 'weren't responsible', why cover it up? they also cut my cable line - twice. the lawn looked good, but you could break an ankle walking on it because they didn't level the ground before putting down the sod. i worked with their designer to create a layout of where the plants would be placed. none of the plants are where we laid them out. i found out later the designer was leaving the company and it wasn't a happy parting of the ways. i was also told that, except for the valve, they would repair the broken lines when they cleaned up at the end of the job. however, this was friday and the sod needed to be watered over the weekend. since i didn't own a sprinkler because i have a sprinkler system, i spent hours sat. and sun, watering the lawn with a hose. they returned monday to finish. this time without a supervisor on the crew and no one from the company came out to check the job that day. as they were packing up everything monday afternoon, i wanted to make sure they were returning to finish the next day so i asked. they were unaware they weren't done. in addition to other things not finished, i had been told on friday by the supervisor that they would trim out all the sprinkler heads, bury the cable line they had dug up and trim out everything 'real nice' before they finished. none of this had been done. they close their office at 3:00pm so there was no one to talk to until the next morning. this was too late to send them back to my job that day so i had to wait until wednesday for them to return to finish and they only sent one guy in the afternoon. he showed up with an invoice for the remaining balance and again no one ever showed up to look the job over. several things remained undone - there was a trench for the french drain they had never filled with dirt and just covered with sod (i nearly broke an ankle discovering that one), there were sprinkler heads under landscape fabric, the cable line was laying on top of the sod, and more. since i had given them several chances to finish the job, i called them to say the amount due was at least what it would take to cover the unfinished work. they put a lien on my property. i called again (mind you still no visit from anyone at the company to see the job) and finally the owner came out. we walked around the yard, i showed him all the problems and he agreed with everything i said. they sent someone to deal with the issues and that's when my cable line was cut the second time. he also wanted to collect my final payment, even though he hadn't done everything and i still wasn't satisfied with the quality of the work, by now i was done. i paid the bill in full, even though the owner said he would give me a discount. the guy they sent knew nothing about this, of course. they also tried to bill me for 'additional plants' which were for someone else's job. then, just to prove how unprofessional they really were, i had to call several times over several weeks requesting the final waiver to make sure the lien was released. the woman who sends these would never talk to me. turns out she's the wife of the owner. the receptionist kept relaying the message that it would be sent. after three weeks, i finally called and told the receptionist that i knew this woman was lying, that i had an appointment with a lawyer in three days and if i didn't have the waiver by then they could deal with him. i received the waiver the next morning in the mail. unless you are a glutton for punishment and frustration, NEVER, EVER use this company.

MOST OF THE PLANTS DIED. WHEN I BROUGHT THE TREE BACK TO SEE IF THEY WOULD REPLACE IT FOR ANOTHER TREE THEY IGNORED ME LIKE I WAS NOT EVEN THERE. WOULD NOT EVEN TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TREE.

I was very happy with the person who did the landscape design and the actual design, but not necessarily with the work. About 30% of the plants died. The mulching ended up covering my A/C drain coming out of the house, which resulted in my heating unit going out. There were also two plants that they didn't have available and they said they would bring them out when they got them in, but it took several phone calls to get this done. They also said they would come out to follow up after a few weeks from installation, but I am not aware of whether they did so.
