"The member must have us mixed up with another company. We have no record of an estimate at this address. We at Crenshaw Termite & Pest Control, Inc. are a family run business that has been in this area for more that 41 years. We strive to be very completive and give out free estimates and advice to all. We service Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Hillsborough and parts of both Polk and Citrus counties."
I called Crenshaw at around Noon on a Wednesday. The extremely polite and friendly customer service agent on the phone told me that she could have someone out to our home at 8am the very next day. And, in addition to providing such wonderful customer service and getting us an appointment so quickly, she was able to provide us with a quote over the phone. No other company had been willing to give a price on the phone as each said that they had to come out and examine the situation before giving an estimate. Not Crenshaw! They did not waste our time or lock us into a price after arriving on site, as they immediately gave us a firm (not to mention, reasonable!) price over the phone so that we knew what to expect the next day.
True to their word, at just about 8am the next day, Mr. Crenshaw and his son were at my home to handle our wasp situation. Both Mr. Crenshaw and his son were extremely polite and introduced themselves. Then, unlike many agents who come into our home, both Mr. Crenshaw and his son took a great deal of time wiping their shoes prior to entry. This is a truly excellent level of customer service, showing me that they truly cared for our home. Upon entry, they followed me to the master bathroom, and they immediately got to work. They brought in their ladder and carefully removed the cover from the exhaust vent and examined the situation. They then closed off the bathroom and sprayed the entire vent area in a quick and efficient manner, with chemicals that did not stink up my home. Additionally, they kindly reach out the bathroom window to spray and remove another small wasp nest that had been forming. They were extremely kind and professional, and had completely handled our problem in less than thirty minutes.
At the end of their service, payment was quick and easy. They told me that they accepted basically any form of payment, both credit card and check. The cost was true to the word, a mere $100, which seems a very reasonable price for such a service. And, that cost came with a thirty day warranty -- if we see any wasps near our home within the next thirty days, they will come back and eliminate them for free! I doubt we will have to take them up on that, however, as they appear to have quickly and efficiently handled our issue with just that single treatment.
All in all, Crenshaw Termite and Pest Control seems to be an extremely reliable and friendly family-run business which I would highly recommend to anyone. We did not experience any problems with them, and I highly doubt you will either. The next time that we have any pest issue in our home, Crenshaw Termite and Pest Control will be the first and only company that we will call!
"I would like to apologize to the Members. We have serviced their home since 2002. They have been very good clients. Several miss understandings have led to this impass. First of all we have the Sentricon Colony Elimination System installed at the Members home. The system (bait stations) is checked with a hand held bar code scanner (hand held computer products dolphin 7900). The technician must scan the barcode inside the station. The technician returns the barcode scanner to the office manager who uploads the information to our office computer. NOTE: The office manager not the technician uploads the barcode scanner. If even 1 station has not been checked we know it. All of the stations at the Members have been checked every time. Second we also perform outside perimeter pest control for the Members. They are right, we did miss an appointment and for that I would also like to apologize. I know the Members do not believe it but we have 2 clients with the same last name. Our technician went to the wrong Member. She is very upset about the mistake, as are we. She has been with our company for 9 years and is well trained. We apologized to the Members when the mistake happened and we apologize again. Third, we did not tell the Members to not worry about carpenter ants in the context of having ants. Carpenter ants can be a huge nuisance. However, carpenter ants are not a wood destroying organism and as such there is no need to worry about carpenter ants eating your home."
"The member must have us mixed up with another company. First of all Michelle Beene is my niece and office manager. She has worked for the company for over 19 years. She will answer any questions a customer or potential new customer has. As for prices other than termite treatment prices she will give a quote to anyone over the phone. We do not quote termite treating without inspecting the building first. We keep a call log of all incoming calls, we have checked our call logs and have no record of the member calling our office. We mapped the address in question on [street name removed] in Odessa and I drove to this house. I have never been to this house nor have I ever spoke to the member but if I had the first thing I would have done is give the member my company card and then inspect the house. Like I said the member must have us mixed up with someone else. If he will call us we will give him a FREE inspection."
