Description of Work: Everything went well. I found the company pleasant to deal with overall. Initially, the slider latches were a bit out of alignment but they came back and adjusted them. | |One hitch: The installer broke some of my tile when putting in the lower track; however, that was not Storm Protection's fault. The original builder put the tile, in the spot, with no under layment to support the tile. They offered to do something about it and I told them it was not necessary. I had plenty of experience up North with problems caused by lousy work left by an earlier contractor.

+ -1 morejob was very detailed. many new measurements had to be taken. all was done in a timely manner. when a very large shutter did not work right after completion they were there the next day to correct the problem. it was a big job with very long spaces to cover. they mounted new hardware on the existing columns. it looks like it was there all along.

+ 0 moreI thought they did a very good job. They were conscientious and on time, especially the person that helped us, appraised it, and did the dealing and wheeling. He came back to check on it and said that it was done properly, so we were very pleased and that's why we called them back.
Description of Work: Storm Protection of South Florida replaced our windows with special storm windows to keep out the hurricane. We're also going to use them again in about a month to replace our shutters.

Description of Work: Called company on a Thursday and left message; they called back promptly and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. Waited home all morning but no one came. Called and they said there was a mix up and changed appointment to the next day. al came and took measurements the next day. We had expected to give order then but he said he would have to go back and would e-mail us an estimate by Friday. No e-mail on Friday or the following Monday. Called on Tuesday, no return call. Called on Wednesday, so far no return call. We told him we were in a hurry for these shutters.

+ -1 moreWe looked on Angie's List for a hurricane shutter provider. We called two companies and both of them came out with samples of their products and prepared an estimate of costs. We chose Storm Shutters because they offered a unique product and their price was in line. We started working with them on the premises in Naples and then re-located to Michigan for the summer. The install took place while we were Up North, our Homewatch service worked with Storm Shjutters in our absence. From start to finish, the work done was top notch. From the sales rep to the scheduler to the controller. They even emailed us pictures just a few hours after the install was complete. This is a very professional company, their work is excellent and the staff is outstanding!

+ -1 moreMy start to finish experience with this company is described above. I highly recommend this company. Service was excellent and product is perfect.
Description of Work: I first contacted the company on Monday, April 2, and was able to schedule to meet at my property with company representative so that he could take measurements in order to provide me with an estimate for storm shutter installation. This took place on Wednesday morning, April 4th and the esimate was emailed to me at approximately 1:00 p.m. I was very pleased with the quality of the sample shutters shown to me and the helpfulness and courtesy of the representative that met with me, and when I received an estimate that was well within the amount I was able to spend, I called immediately and said I was ready to go forward. We met again that afternoon and I signed a contract and paid a deposit. The cost of the shutters and installation also included permit fees, and. there is a 10 year warranty Additionally, they will provide all relevant information and specs to my homeowner association. I was told that the shutters would probably be installed within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Shutters were installed within the time frame promised, and I am very pleased with the quality and service provided by this company.

My advice go with Storm Protection of South Florida 239-207-1328 and stay away from Alu fab Usa or whatever they go by for their bankrupcy after finding this out from other companies.
Description of Work: After having five estimates I chose Storm Protection of South Florida LLC. AL Carter had the most Knowledgable Advice. Being only a few hundred dollars over my other estimates I Chose Al Carter at Storm Protection to Build and Intall My Electric Rolldowns with Permit and Warranty.
