Kevin's Lawn Service

I purchased a lawn mowing package from Kevin's Lawn Service as part of a radio promotion. I purchased 52 weeks of mowing, and they did OK for the 2009 lawn season after a few hiccups and gaffes, like mowing the yard unevenly and mowing over my 4 year old's vegetable garden. For 2010 however, they did a horrible, unprofessional job of fulfilling their end of the contract. They mowed my lawn once at the beginning of the season after some nagging, and then after calling them for three weeks in a row, they finally showed up at 5:45 on a Saturday morning to mow. They then refused to come back and rake the long clippings they'd left on the lawn, even though it was their fault that the lawn had gone so long. Then, that was it. I never heard from them again. I called them back dozens of times, left messages, called during business hours, calling at off hours, tried calling them at home... nothing. Finally I started mowing my lawn on my own again, and complained to the radio station that I bought the mowing package from. THEY ended up apologizing for the behavior of Kevin's Lawn Service, and provided me a full refund of the mowing package. In the end, I wasn't out any money because the radio station was willing to man up and cover for Kevin's Lawn Service, but I still would not recommend them to anyone. They were unresponsive, unprofessional, and irresponsible.
