Beware of this company. My Mini-Split unit stopped cooling. They advised there would be a $125 fee for "Diagnosis" in addition to any costs associated with repairing the A/C. I had Trinity out on a Friday afternoon. The Tech checked the unit out and advised me that it was low on gas. He checked the unit for leaks and stated that he could not identify any leaks. He then "repaired" the unit by adding a pound of gas. The unit began to cool and I was charged $289. In less that 12 hours, the unit was no longer cooling again/error code. Called Trinity to ask how this would be resolved and they told me that they could come back out and perform another leak detection but that it would cost $270 more... I questioned the business practices; why I was charged $125 for a diagnosis, which I followed their recommendation and was charged $165 for the gas only to have the unit fail in less than a day. I was told that there was nothing they could do, I was out $289, still have a broken A/C.

For the past three years, I have had Trinity Air Conditioning check my A/C unit in June for preventive maintenance before the long, hot summer begins. This cost me $135. This July, a month after they checked my A/C, my unit wasn’t cooling to the temperature that I set it and was running all night long, causing a sky-high electric bill. I checked with my building to make sure that the cooling tower was working properly, which it was. I then called Trinity to fix whatever was wrong. A different tech came on a Thursday and told me that nothing was wrong, so I asked if it could be the thermostat. He said no, then he changed his mind and said it was definitely the thermostat. I spent $225 for that visit. That night, my A/C ran all night again -so the problem obviously wasn’t the thermostat that I paid for. I called Trinity in the morning to tell them that it wasn’t fixed. Brittany said that the owner would call me ASAP, which he didn’t. I still hadn’t heard from Trinity by Wednesday of the following week and called them out of desperation. They begrudgingly said they would come back out, but if something was wrong, I’d have to pay. I already paid $225 and nothing was fixed. I was also informed (without me asking) that they wouldn’t refund anything done already or take back the thermostat. Is that what they mean by standing by their work? A third tech came out and explained that there was something majorly wrong and this was a huge job - the building A/C needed to be turned off while the work was done and Trinity’s owner said he won’t take the job on since it was so big. So, all you do is fix and install air conditioners and you can’t fix my little unit? That same day, I had another A/C company come out. The tech saw that a switch inside the unit was off, so he turned it on and it’s worked ever since. Really, that’s it??? How on earth did three Trinity techs not see that the switch was off? Worst of all, they literally made up reasons why the unit wasn’t working properly, so they could say the job was completed and collect money. If you want incompetent morons to service your AC unit, Trinity Air Conditioning is the company for you. They ripped me off and then took no responsibility for their shoddy work. I spent $360 and they did nothing! DON’T HIRE TRINITY AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was no charge other than the annual maintenance fee. $170 annual. They are not pushing me to replace it, which is something that I consider very much in their favor. The price is within a reasonable amount that similar providers charge. It’s not really an A-F kind of thing, it’s a customary as would be expected.

They were here November of 2014.  It cost $3900.  They're middle of the road.  They weren't terrible but they weren't great.  They got the job done eventually, it worked out okay, it wasn't, I wasn't thrilled but I wasn't angry.

The Negative --and gt; when I called Trinity I spoke with Ann Marie and I was told it was an $85/unit diagnostic fee. As soon as Luis the tech arrived we were told that it wasn't just $85/unit diagnostic fee - in fact the $85/unit diagnostic fee covered only the first 30 minutes, thereafter its an additional $95/hour just to diagnose - no work included. We ended up with a bill of $265, and had absolutely no work done on the units and the unit that was noisy but working now is not working at all after the tech and quot;diagnosedand quot; it. We will have to sleep on the couch until that's fixed thanks to this expensive and useless diagnostic.

We were expecting a maximum bill of $170 for diagnostic and professional opinion. That's still steep but we were willing to pay it since it appeared they had serviced these A/C's in the past (their sticker was on the outdoor unit) and they should know something about the install, however they claimed they didn't install them even though their sticker was on the unit.

The extra $95/hour fee is simply abuse for a diagnostic call where no work was performed. The tech quickly and quot;diagnosedand quot; the two units within their allotted 30 minutes and then began measuring the rooms for his sales rep to use in his quote on installing a new unit. Then he spent some time having casual conversation with us. I didn't realize we were being charged for the measuring and conversation until the very end - had I known I would have pushed him out the door. I would think measuring would be included in a free estimate, not charged during a service diagnostic call at a steep $95/hr rate. I wanted to argue with the man but I didn't feel comfortable arguing with a stranger in my home.

The Visit --and gt; The technician arrived early and started working to diagnose the bedroom unit. He determined right away that the mini split motor needed to be replaced and that it might make sense to talk to sales to get an estimate for a new air handler and/or system. He then proceeded to check the second unit and determined it was vibrational noise due to build up of dust/mold in the unit. He then went on the roof to check the condition of outside unit connected to first A/C and after talking for a little bit with my husband started measuring the rooms upstairs to send the data to his sales guy for new system quoting purposes.

The $95 extra fee is abusive and silly since they lost a long term customer for charging for small talk and measuring rooms (this should be done by the sales rep for free as part of his estimate and not charged hourly by a service guy!). The fact that the a/c that was working, albeit noisy and old, is not now working at all is suspicious and maddening. We will certainly not be using them again for servicing however I will post again once I receive their quote to repair/replace the unit and will update if the pricing is reasonable at that time.

Great. My A/C stopped working sometime Saturday night. I called first thing on Sunday morning and the technician came right out to see if he could get it running. After a quick diagnosis it there was nothing they could do that wouldn't cost a fortune and since my A/C was from 1999 it was recommended for me to change to a new system. Monday morning Joie came out to give me a quote. He was professional, on time and asked me what concerned me the most about replacement. I told him cost but I wanted a good and efficient system. He made some recommendations for me to consider and said he would send me a quote in 1 hour. I also asked for a whole house filtration system which I had in my last house. This was added into the quote and the price for the complete job was $4600 including everything. They took care to tell me about rebates and tax credits. This morning my new A/C was installed and hopefully when I get home from work I will have a cool house. Someone should tell the A/C Gods to quit breaking A/C units in August. LOL. I couldn't be happier. Trinity Air is the best! I really. I forgot to say Joie als had his team bring a temporary A/C unit to my house on Monday so that we could sleep. If you need help they certainly give you the very best service. THANK YOU!

Called Trinity out to see why my air conditioner stopped cooling and they determined the compressor failed. They were able to locate a replacement and came out the next day. The call out fee was $80. The compressor was covered under warranty but the labor and other materials costs and additional $1100.
Trinity is service is always reliable but a bit pricy.
