Description of Work: For years bought pool supplies, chemicals, etc., for them. Never did comparison shopping. They had divided into two divisions: one for sale of chemicals and supplies, one for repair and other services. Different phone numbers. Service is good, but depends somewhat on which "technician" is sent to do the job. And schedule may depend on availability of technician for repair, and can't depend on getting urgent requests handled - - if there is failure of motor, for example, and for lack of circulation pool is turning green. Usually can obtain service within a week, sometimes the same day. "Cost of Service" that I listed is arbitrary, as it obviously depends on why we asked them for service, and the review is meant to be overall average experience over a couple of decades. Some employees in both the supply store and service department have been there for many years and are quite knowledgeable.

 + -1 moreI had to purchase a part for my pool cleaner a few months ago. This is a part that normally needs to be replaced every one or two years, and the part failed in about 2-3 months. So I went back, and they wouldn't even consider any kind of a warranty or considering that the part they sold me was defective or anything like that.
Description of Work: I went to Pool Discount Center to get parts for a pool cleaner.

 + -1 moreWe have used them often through the years. Sometimes a residual leak after an installation, but they come promptly to fix the problem.
Description of Work: Mainly use them for buying supplies and equipment for swimming pool. Always freindly and helpful. They have a pool service department, which is now a seperate operating unit next door. They do come to repair pump, filterst, etc. Howeer, they refer out for pool reseurfacing. Repairs are done well, and they stand behind their work when there is a probalem after they have done an installation, such as a leak in fitting.

Description of Work: The electric pump motor on my pool died, and I took the old motor in to Pool Discount Center, and they sold me a new motor and installed a new impeller and seals onto the new motor. They gave me advice on how to install the new motor, they were very helpful. I believe the total price was fair, based on some comparison shopping. I have used this company in the past, going back 10 years or so, for on-site pool repairs and they have always been excellent. P.S. Changing the motor on a pool pump requires some skill and experience working with EXTREMELY DANGEROUS high-voltage electricity. NOT RECOMMENDED for amateurs!!!!!!!!!

 + -1 moreThey job went very well. My husband had dealt entirely with them but he told me that he was very satisfied with them. They came the day after he called them and they had it fixed within 2 or 3 days. The estimate that they gave him was accurate and we were happy with them.

Description of Work: Needed to replace a part on a barracuda. They had to order it, and install it on the head. It was done quickly and well.

Description of Work: I have used this company since 2005 for pool service. They show up on the designated day and are quiet and efficient. I asked them not to park on the lawn and they complied. After Hurricane Wilma, the MANAGER showed up and vacuumed our pool with a pump that used the hose since we had no electricity. Our pool guy doesn't speak much English, so just keep that in mind if you need to tell him something. They also recommended a resurfacing company which was great.

 + -1 moreThe repairman diagnosed the problem with the pool pump. He took the motor back to the store and it was rebuilt. He then came back and reinstalled it within 3 days as promised. The estimate was accurate for the work done.
