One Seed

This company is a complete scam. They will promise you a great project, complete the work in - as they admit "crappy job" - so that you will pay them in full and then wait on them to fix their job, only for them to attempt to charge you more to fix their incomplete job than what it originally cost in the first place. Worst of all however, is that if you do not completely adhere to what they say and their flagrant cost of repairs, the entire team with ignore all of your messages, emails, inquires, everything. You can be as nice and friendly as you want. They will admit their own errors, They will do a bad job. And you will either have to eat the cost or pay double for them to do it right the second time - if they will do it right at all. Avoid them at all costs!!!

We had our whole front yard, driveway, front porch redone. They took out old planters and sidewalk and driveway and worked closely with us to make sure all of the improvements were done to our standards. The original estimate was more than what we budgeted for and AJ worked tirelessly with us to modify our plan to make sure we could stay within our budget and still achieve the desired results. Any issues we had they took care of right away and we're always responsive to questions and feedback. We have had lots of compliments on the work that was done and we are very happy with how everything turned out. AJ and his team were a pleasure to work with and I would definitely call him again if I needed other work to be done.

I came out one afternoon to see my 75yo oak tree being butchered.  One dead limb was left hanging.  Clearly this tree trimming was done by someone who had no experience or consultation with an arborist.  I watched helplessly as this service hacked at the limbs with a chain saw. There was absolutely no regard for how it would affect the tree.  The oak was hacked along the fence line and looked absolutely awful. There was no artistry, no design, and no respect for how the tree might recover from the trimming process or survive the next hurricane season.
In my county you can cut a tree that hangs over your property as long as you do not cut more than 30%.  My new neighbor had called a landscaping service because my tree was hanging over his new house.  The house was completed three months ago. One Seed had come to them highly recommended.  They thought that the person that they were dealing with was an arborist.  The tree that was trimmed has been there 75 years.  
The property owner told me that AJ Morales, one of the owners of One Seed, would come out and fix it.  You cannot fix tree damage once a cut is made.  Much better to think and plan carefully before you cut than to give first aid to a tree you have damaged, particularly with a tree that is this age and size.  Tree trimming is both an art and a science.
I called Mr. Morales who told me that he is neither an arborist nor a landscape architect, but that he consults with them.  He seemed completely unaware that anyone would have a problem with the job his unsupervised workers did.  
I consulted with a certified arborist the following week who could only cuss under his breath as he looked at the work.  My tree that started with a nice rounded shape now looks like two trees because One Seed cut the crown out of it.  A good wind could blow one side of this tree down now, causing the entire tree to die.
It will cost me $1250 to fix the damage that was done. I am hoping to eventually cut the tree back enough so that my neighbor has no reason to deal with it. I am furious that 75 years of growth can be dispensed with in one careless afternoon by someone who did not know what he was doing. Don't let anyone touch your tree but a certified arborist...there are only 22 in Dade County.
