I am looking to replace my existing air conditioning unit for a new one. I contacted Kendale Air Conditioning since their reviews were pretty good. I was told by the female that took my call-which was very nice-that Pepe (General Manager) will be the person coming to my home and that he was very knowledgeable and professional and had over 25 years in the AC business.
Pepe showed up at the time agreed and he appeared to be very knowledgeable. After looking at my existing unit and taking some measurements, he told me the type of unit they could install and he would email me a proposal. As should be expected-since this is a big job- I had quite a few questions to ask him regarding the work he mentioned the company will be performing at my home. I offered him to seat down so we could talk, he refused.
He was standing all the time and after my 2nd. question, Pepe seemed to be in a rush and had the posture of "I'm in a hurry and I have to leave" making me feel like he didn't have time for me. So, I asked him one more question and he then rushed out of my house with no explanation.
The next day, I received an email from Pepe with what I thought it was going to be a professional and detailed proposal for a new AC unit. Instead, I received something that looks like an invoice that a company will provide for a $40 repair job with just his signature on the body of the email . VERY unprofessional and NO details of the work that they will be performing on an over $3,000 job.
I gave Pepe, not 1, but 2 opportunities to send me a professional and detailed proposal. The first time I got a response from him answering a question about equipment warranty by telling me to look it up on the manufacture's website?! Then, I got NO response at all.
So, Pepe probably has many years of AC experience and knowledge, but when it comes to being professional and provide customer service, NO EXPERIENCE.
I had contacted other companies before and after Kendale Air Conditioning, and NO other company has been as unprofessional as they were. Of course, I won't be calling them!

I am impressed.
I called Kendale Air in the beginning of August to get a quote to replace my 10 seer 2.5 ton air conditioning system with a 16 seer system. I left a message because I called after hours, but Pepe called back immediately. We scheduled for an inspection/quote a couple days later. He showed up when he said he would that day, and quoted me all work for 3635 and we set up an appointment for 8/21/14 because the air handler was back-ordered.
I called a few days before the install and they had still not received the air handler, so we pushed the install to 8/28 at 9am.
8/28 at 8:55am, they were knocking on my door and ready for work. They prepped everything and got right to it. They removed all of the old equipment and took it away from the house and installed the blower. Prior to installing the air handler, they hooked a huge HEPA vacuum up to the main duct and cleaned everything out with compressed air. Then they got the air handler installed, hooked it up, and put in the Guardian Air unit. They then cleaned up nicely and left no trace of their installation.
Final price? 3635. I know, shocking right? It's not very often that the quote meets the price paid. In addition, they gave me a 1 year warranty on labor and there's also a 10 year mfr warranty.
The new AC is working great compared to my old 2002 unit which was icing up due to a freon leak. I can't wait to see how much my power bills will be, but I'll guess they'll probably be halved or somewhere close to it.
These guys are highly recommended.

Best price of the three that I called. Was able to do the work ASAP. Arrived 30 min early and completed on time and explained to my wife how to replace filters and operate.

Awesome!  I had called on Sunday and they came out first thing Monday morning.  My unit is over 12 years old and the rep explained my options.  Once I approved the repair he took care of the matter quickly.  I've used Kendale Air Conditioning for the past 4+ years and wish I'd started with them sooner.

schedule the installation for the following week. Again they showed up on time and removed and hauled away my old unit and installed the new one in less than a day. The installation was perfection! They took their time and did a superb job. I can't say enough about Fred the installer and his co-worker. Pepe the field supervisor came by at least three times to inspect and survey their progress. Jay also came out to see the finished installation. These guys take pride in their work and take no short cuts. The unit works wonderfully and I have for the first time confidence in my A/C company. They showed up promptly, protected the carpet with cardboard, removed the old unit and installed the new in 5 hours.  Left the work area clean. 

Speaking with Jay, my mind is now much more at ease regarding the quality of the air coming out of my AC unit.  Instead of pushing me into a service I didn't need, he took the time to explain why cleaning was probably not needed.  Finding a company with this kind of customer serevice is rare.  I suggest we all patronize those companies we find.

 I requested estimates from 3 top tier contractors, one of which was Kendale Air Conditioning. Jay was the most competitive of the 3.
 
Jay runs a very proffesional operation. His trucks are new, clean and properly equipped. He has a competent, courteous uniformed staff. Kendale Air Conditioning sold me the correct size unit  and CORRECTLY installed the ductwork instead of an oversized unit with inefficient ductwork that is common in my development. The job was done on time and as we had agreed with no problems.
 Want it cheap? Call the company with the rusty truck and sloppy help. Want it right without a hassle? Call Jay. I've done it both ways now and I'm finished with "B" grade contractors for this lifetime.

As always, with Kendale, we were more than pleased with the service and the price.

He came and spent some time checking the system. He said the coolant was fine and apparently the system had a problem with a valve and needed to be replaced. He gave us the cost of a new system. We then called another company who said the coolant was low and that it had a slow leak. That company added coolant and advised that it could last a very long time and adding coolant every once in a while would cost less that replacing the very good system that we have.

THEY DO EXCELLENT REPAIR WORK. MY AIR CONDITIONER WORKS AS IF IT WERE BRAND NEW. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO OTHER PEOPLE. IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND AND GOOD COMPANY THAT DOES NOT OVERCHARGE. I GUESS I AM LUCKY!

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE I GET FROM THEM. THEY ARE ALWAYS PROMPT WHEN THEY COME OUT TO MY HOME. WHEN I BOUGHT THE NEW COMPRESSOR FROM THEM I GOT A FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. I WOULD REFER THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE WANTING GREAT SERVICE.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK ON THE A/C. THEY WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO BE. THEY GOT RIGHT TO WORK. THEY HAD IT FIXED IN LESS THAN AN HOUR.

WE CHOSE THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT COULD COME OUT THE NEXT DAY. I THOUGHT THAT THEIR RATES WERE TOO HIGH. THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB.

WHEN THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE COILS ON MY AC THEY WERE VERY QUICK AND EFFICIENT. I HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM AND WHENEVER I CALL THEM TO FIX SOMETHING THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE.
