"In response to your review, during the time we went to your residence, my daughter had a miscarriage and needed emergency surgery. I was unable to be at the office to give Ray the information to speak with you. Ray and I have tried at least ten times to get in touch with you, with no success. To be fair to the customers, prices cannot be given over the phone without knowing exactly what needs to be done. "Falcon Plumbing scheduled an appointment on Saturday per your request. The technician arrived at your house at the time requested, and performed the tasks that you asked to be completed. After our technician reviewed the work that needed to be done, he quoted you prices for the work prior to starting. He also advised you of a few other things that needed to be replaced, so that the installation of the parts you supplied would work properly after they were installed. After the technician got the okay to do the work at the prices that were quoted, the work was completed. If you did not agree with the prices given, you should have refused the technician to do the work at that time. Also, the invoice was signed for the acceptance of work performed agreeing to the completion and prices. The technician informed me that as a courtesy for the amount of work you were having done, he performed extra work at no charge. I called in the morning about 9:00 AM and was told they would be here between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The man came a little before noon. Our call was mainly regarding a problem with a toilet. He fixed that by completely remounting it for $315.00 less the $25 Angie?s discount.
We then asked him to take a look at a dripping problem we had with a shower. He tried to replace the cartridge but could not so he said to fix it would cost $515.00 if we purchased the required valve. So we went to Home Depot and got what we were told was the best valve for $143.38.
In order to replace the valve he would have to remove a portion of the drywall in the garage to get access to the back side of the valve. I don't remember if he said then that he was not going to be able to replace that drywall or not though. It turns out he could not, so we are now faced with the expense of getting someone else to do that in the future.
The valve was then replaced and we signed the ticket thinking it was completed. But when we took our first showers it was evident that there was a problem with the way the hot and cold was regulated. So we called and asked him to come back and see if it could be fixed. He came the next day and said that the hot and cold pipes were apparently opposite the way they should be and that was the reason it did not work the same as the old valve. He made some adjustments and said that was the best he could do.
We were not satisfied with the way it was so we called again. This time I spoke with the owner who said he would send the man back to do whatever was needed. He came on the 19th and ran a set of pipes that switched the way the hot and cold pipes connected to the valve. That fixed the shower problem, but when he tried to turn the water on for the house he said that valve broke.
The cost to fix it was going to be another $275.00. I objected to that addition cost so he called the owner to see what could be done. The answer was apparently that the valve would be fixed at no additional cost because he started working on it.
The technician was always courteous and the owner did what was necessary to get the shower fixed. We probably should have let the shower continue dripping and saved the $658.38 and the unknown future cost to repair the drywall in the garage.
"Falcon Plumbing arrived and assessed the repair to complete. It was brought to your attention that the problem you were having with the toilet rocking, was due to an improper repair done by someone else. While the technician was there, he was asked to repair a dripping shower. It was determined that the valve could not be repaired. You were advised what needed to be done and you chose to purchase your own valve for us to replace. After we installed your valve the next day, a call was placed to Falcon Plumbing saying that there was not enough hot water from the shower. The technician returned to find the original piping by others was installed backwards. Hot water was on the right and cold water was on the left. The technician explained what needed to be done and was told that the customer would live with it the way it was. Two days later a call was made to Falcon Plumbing saying that they could not live with it and wanted it repaired. To keep our customers satisfied, we sent out our technician to repair the crossed water lines at no cost to the customer. After making the necessary repairs, we attempted to turn the water back on the house only to find out that the main shut off valve did not hold. We advised the customer the price to replace it and were told that he was not paying for anything. So as not to leave an unhappy customer, again the technician completed work at no cost to the customer. The valve was original to the home, as well as the water piping that was installed incorrectly from the beginning by someone else. So in trying to keep a customer satisfied, the shut off valve and piping was replaced at no cost to the customer. Falcon Plumbing did a lot of work as a courtesy, to try and keep an Angie’s List customer satisfied."

The worker (Stevan) came on time and replaced the spigot. He did not try to cut corners, rather he worked thoroughly and made the repair completely.
