Definitely not worth the $$$ charged. Their work ethic and company professionalism is negative! I hired this company as they had been recommended by Miami Dade County. Their salesman had to come out very early in AM Incase we wanted to proceed as I was told. Upon contracting they had to actually return to do the job another day. They arrived in time. 3 guys, one never removed his sunglasses as in his picture they sent me? Never mentioned any med. reason for them but not to be rude, I never inquired but not professional. They worked all day. All 3 sat on front porch at end of day chatting. As I don’t speak Spanish and 2 of them spoke no English and they other spoke very little I questioned them if they were done. They said they were getting my invoice together. They hadn’t replaced the door on the AC closet, I had to ask them to finish up. This is my 90 yr old parents home. I (their daughter) left , returning 2 days later as they said it was 90 degrees inside. Direct Air had left the heater on and never returned thermostats to AC setting. Upon inspecting the AC closet myself now, concerned the job wasn’t done right.. I found a burn spot on the wall from the soldering, the insulated refrigerant tube was leaking water and oily Freon from the pipe and soaked insulation running down wall, door and floor. I am somewhat privy to AC systems functions and knew this was a very poorly done job and no one checked it out before leaving. Actually they did nothing to ensure thing were correct, running properly and button up before leaving. They ask you to sign their computer stating they did a great job, but until they leave and you feel, see the aftermath in a few days later, how can you say what kind of job they really did. Especially when there no great communication. I called to get them to return to fix their job and get my elderly parents out of the heat. It took a week for them to get 2 different guys out to repair what was obviously a leak for poor work. The 1st guy started outside at unit and guessed that a slightly corroded capacitor was the issue charging us to replace, but never fixed the real problem which was their leak. One week later and with me having to get really p*****, stressed, and threatening elder abuse they finally sent someone 2 days later who confirmed the crappy work was the issue and completely replaced both refrigerant lines as he said there had been many soldering connections made , leaking everywhere, and replaced the Freon which had leaked all out. Not happy at all and definitely not worth the almost $6000 charged( we did put in a UV light..$2500). Not wanting to deal with them any longer I got them to cut me a small check for paint to cover the damages and I’m handling repairs from their crappy work myself. Never will recommend to anyone!!! Be aware of all the extra BS they will sell you. Afterwards I inquired about costs with other companies… we got ripped off.. they charge ridiculous prices for substandard unprofessional work. Just a totally crappy, stressful experience dealing with a company that didn’t care at all about their shotty work getting fixed on a timely basis in an elderly customers home leaving them in a life threatening situation for a week. If I could get this to the CEO of Direct Air I would as the entire local team didnt handle this issue in a professional way at all.

Rolando Victorero was our technician for our annual maintenance on our air conditioner. He was very courteous, friendly and explained in detail everything he would be checking out during his visit. He suggested that we might want to consider getting air duct cleaning since we had never had this process done. After explaining in detail what would be done during this procedure, we signed up for it. We found Rolando to be very professional and knowledgeable about air conditioning. We are anxious now to get the air duct cleaning completed. He earned his 5 star rating.

They charged me 75 dollars to tell me I have a leak at the compressor coil which I saw a simple weld and recharge would take care of it. Then they gave me an estimate of $7600.00 for a new unit for an 1800 square foot home. With available financing. I said that was too much. Could we work the price and meanwhile fix the leak. I was willing to pay and he said that he would be stealing my money if he did that. He left and did not even put my filter or all screws back on my unit. As if he was in a hurry to leave. I paid him cash and said goodbye. Very unprofessional. I work in the repair industry and always try to find a middle ground with my client. I wouldn’t use or recommend them if they were the last AC company around. Pictures from their visit. How they left my system which was not how they found it. My wife and I both work from home and have 3 teenage girls in the home. Not compassion or understanding. It’s all about the $$$$$$ money for these people. How unfortunate. Was willing to pay cash for a new system but not at that price.

This company, Direct Air Conditioning that represents Costco for all of their air conditioning needs and installations is the most expensive company on the market. It’s been 3 years that I bought a unit from this company, which cost much more than those on the market, and today I had to replace that unit. When I reached out to Direct Air Conditioning for a quote, they quoted me $4,000 more than the company that did the job today at my house. Both quotes were for the same equipment/offering the same exact service, and Direct Air Conditioning was 4K more. I do not recommend this company to anyone because it is much more expensive. It’s a real shame that this is the company that Costco endorses and uses to represent their air conditioning service. I am a loyal Costco customer for years and and it’s a shame that I was unable to go through them for the replacement of my AC.
