I will preface this by stating that the money paid was by the previous homeowner, less than a year ago, for the service of a new roof being installed. This company replaced the roof on our home last July. We purchased the home in October, with the understanding that it had a brand new roof. However, the roof has recently begun to leak. Being less than a year old, our roof should not have any issues with leakage. Upon reaching out to the company, I was unable to reach anyone via phone and then had to proceed to discuss the issue via text (which I have the screenshots of and am happy to share with anyone). This company does not take responsibility for the work they performed less than a year ago, and refuses to communicate to remedy the error. In fact, he blamed the leakage on someone being on the roof (spoiler alert- no one has been up there and drones were used). In fact, we've since had another company come out to determine the problem, again with a drone (making this point because they are trying anything to take the blame away from themselves), and were informed that it was leaking due to shoddy workmanship. Gee, I wonder who performed the job?? Anyhow, the company also states they sent someone out to the house. Well, in keeping in line with scammy Miami, they sure did. The person showed up, took a photo of the front of the house, and left. How do I know? Because I work from home, a whole 5 feet from the front door, and I have a dog who barks. Guess who never barked that morning? In fact, when I messaged to ask where they were, I was told they were outside. I walked outside to find no one. Then, a picture of my front yard appeared in my messages. Now, they are refusing to return messages and still have not been out to inspect or repair the job. Being that we have young children (6 months and 3 years) and the roof is leaking in the area of their bedrooms, this is incredibly concerning as it presents a health issue. They also state that their warranty is not transferrable from owner to owner. However, a roof should NOT need to be repaired in less than a year's time, regardless of having an active warranty or not. I highly recommend avoiding this company if you are hoping to have someone perform your job with integrity and who will stand by their finished product.
