After getting reference from Angie's List, I was told they come within an hour. However, was informed on at least two occassions that the plumber was busy with the preceding job and would come. Eventually, plumber came. Would be better if they promise a time that they can deliver. Foir instance, I would even prefer the next day instead of a promise of within an hour that ended being much longer than I expected as it ruins one's day.
My review is actually for A to Z Statewide Plumbing (1 800 930 1123). I am not sure that is the same company as Bay Plumbing Company.
I also thought that the charge was high considering work done (and time spent doing it). Didn't think it was value for money. Will wait to see if they will come back. By the way , I was told that they would waive $89 consultaion fee due Angie's list reference. But not sure that it was actually done since the plumber came and then told me the job would be $264.
I was happy though with the response as they came on the same day I made the request inspite of the delay. The plumber who came was polite. He informed me that if the machine faied to do the job he would get another machine. I was actually expecting him to do that but he didn't. I hope they do come back if I call. Iverall the experience was Ok. No major problems.

We called on Friday for help with a leaking outdoor faucet. They gave us an appointment for late on Monday.
Monday morning they called early - there had been a cancellation and they could send someone out immediately.
Alex arrived quickly, The faucet is in a tricky location but he was able to remove and replace it and even re-stucco
the wall in about an hour and a half. He was very professional and courteous We will be using only Bay Plumbing in the
future.

I was very happy with their work. I called them around 1 PM about the leak, and someone was there within the hour. The leaking water main was a fairly big job, requiring the plumber to break through asphalt and dig a trench almost two feet down to find and repair the leak. He called in an assistant and between the two of them, they had the job done in about 4 hours. They explained the dangers of repairing vs. replacing the pipe, did the job I asked, and did a great job of repairing the hole they'd dug and replacing the blacktop. Both plumbers were very professional and experienced. Although they had worked until 6PM, he gave me a break on the price by not charging me overtime and a 10% discount to boot. I thought I'd be spending $500+ dollars, but it ended up costing around $350. Definitely reccomend.

The person at Bay Plumbing who took my initial call was very courteous and helpful. He said their hourly charge was $93.90. When I asked if they charged for travel time, he said they charged for travel to my appointment. I made an appointment for 3 days later between 10:00 and 12:00 so the person he said was their best at finding hidden leaks, Albert, would be available. When 12:00 came and there had been no call, I called their office. They called Albert and called me back to say he was on the way. He arrived within minutes and the start time he noted on their invoice was 12:04. He looked at the water meter, and explained how to tell if it was registering any water use, which it was even though nothing was turned on. He then looked at the inside water outlets and found no dripping or running water. He then started to check outside, beginning with pipes running into a detached garage effeciency, and as I followed him I stepped on an area where there was some water collected in the grass. This was not noticeable unless you happened to step on it and I had not noticed it before. I pointed it out to him. He finished examining some surface pipes on the outside of the effeciency and I suggested that maybe the collected water might indicate a problem. He checked it, dug up the area, and found a galvanized pipe about 5 inches down with a small hole which he patched with a repair clamp. He suggested taking apicture for the Water & Sewer Dept. before he filled in the hole, and too 3 photos with his camera when I told him mine wasn't working, which he said he'd email to me. So far all seemed well, especially since I found the leak myself by accident. He was back in his truck writing up the invoice before 1:05 and brought me the bill by 1:10. The total was $170.80 with $140.00 for his service. At $93.90/hour I questioned the total. He said after the first hour, they charge for every 1/2 hour even though he was in his truck writing my bill no later than an hour after he clocked in. The repair clamp was $18.95 and there was an $8.00 charge for "shop supplies" although the only implement he used was the repair clamp itself and a shovel to dig up the pipe - maybe it included the $2:00 he then said they charged to email me the pictures. There was also a $3.00 fuel charge which apparantly is in addition to travel time to the appointment. Most telling was the time on the invoice he said he clocked out 1:25 which was 15 minutes later after he handed me the bill. Even though I was mostly satisfied with the work itself, and very grateful I had found the leak myself while following him around, I felt this company nickle'd and dime'd me into a higher bill and charged me for more time than was spent. I was so focused on the charges I forgot to ask about the 10% senior discount Angie's List says they give!

I called them about a plumbing emergency and the woman who answered the phone was extremely nasty. I asked to speak to the office manager and she put me on hold for five minutes. When she got back on the phone she said the office manager said they could do it that day for time and a half.

Estimate given was fair to high, but the quality of the work was amazing. No nickel and diming on small stuff - the pipe replacement was comprehensive and they made sure fittings going up into the house joined well or were replaced. Price for work in addition to what was on the estimate was fair. They were punctual and professional. Our only inconvenience was that the workmen didn't have a cell phone so they had to radio the office every time they needed to communicate something to us - a manageable problem. I would highly recommend this very professional company.

They were here all day Saturday and came back on Sunday to finish the job. They explained the process all along the way. They quoted me a reasonable price and stuck to it.

Overall, I was pleased with their work. They were very good & very pleasant. They kept the place clean and cleaned up well after themselves. My old toilet was leaking and they discovered it needed to be replaced. They replaced my old flush toilet with a new, non-silent flush one. It would have been nice to know before the work was done, the new toilet would be non-silent but, I was still pleased their work overall.

I called the company several times without any return phone calls. Finally, I attempted one last phone call for a request for an estimate. They stated a gentleman would be out to review the situation and give a proposal. Robert Beans was the person who completed the proposal. Following their estimate, they did not follow up to determine whether I wanted to use them. Overall, the company lacks communication.

Bay Plumbing seemed like a very straight forward company. I like that if they say they would here, they followed through and was always here. The job that they did was very good as well.

I was pleasantly surprised. They were able to come out the same day and they are great to work with. It was a very good experience. Every time they come out they are prompt and do a good job. Their work could be a bit cleaner, but the quality of work is very good.
