Lazaro had the jam fixed and the appliance all buttoned back up in less than 30 minutes. He was quick, very professional, and a super nice guy. He's also got his entire process set up digitally, so you don't have to mess with signing any papers or having to keep track of receipts. My payment receipt was in my mailbox before he left the house.
The entire process working with Lazaro and Appliance Tech Services was an absolute pleasure. I would not hesitate for a second to call these guys back. Thank you guys for a job well done. I'm definitely a satisfied customer.
course of several weeks, I finally searched Angie's List and took a
chance on Appliance Tech services. The owner called me back within a
few minutes and arranged for the repair. He showed up and did the
repair in just a few minutes. So many other companies had made
appointments and were no-shows, so I was quite grateful. I would use
him again.

3. He checked the sensors prior to replacing the Main Circuit Board as that may have been cheaper to repair, However unfortunately that was not the problem
4. He had both parts already in stock in his van and was able to start working straight away

8. He does have a call-out fee that is waived if you do decide to have the work done, but he explained that before we made the appointment. However I think this is a common practice

Lazaro was fantastic. He was very easy to reach to set up a service appointment. He was responsive via phone calls, texts, and contact with my condo management office with all administrative details in advance. He said he would come during the 1-3 pm time frame on the scheduled service date. In advance of arriving, he called and texted to make sure that someone was home. He promptly arrived at 1pm right on time. He came to install my glass stove cooktop. My stovetop was not the average case because the oven needed to be removed to do the installation.
Lazaro clearly told me up front that there would be an additional charge because of the oven removal. He was clear with all pricing throughout his servicing. If I remember right, he quoted $129 for the installation. Then, he quoted $185 because it was complex installation. However, he gave me the Angie's List discount and my final price was $165. After he finished installing the cooktop, I mentioned to him how my dishwasher would often fall out when I would open the front panel door. He looked at it and said it was a simple fix. He asked if I had a couple of screen. He screwed them right in to fasten the dishwasher in place. And, voila, it was fixed! He said there would be no charge for that fix and it was complimentary. My dishwasher had been falling out like that for years. What a nice bonus.
Lazaro was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the service. I would definitely use Lazaro again for any appliance repairs I need. He was the most helpful handyman I have ever had.
The water dispenser was leaking from under the refrigerator and the provider replaced all the old tubing with new tubing. He also cleaned the coils at the back of the fridge. He also noticed that the voltage on the fan was low. He suggested that I replace the main controller board which would resolve the situation. I opted not to replace it at this time but would wait until it failed.
Lazaro showed up on time and immediately set to work. After taking apart the dryer, he found the problem was with the timer. He noted that these timers are expensive, and so rather than have me pay the $200 it would cost for parts and labor to replace the timer, he had instead done a simpler fix - resoldered a connection, I think - that he believed would hold up. He told me that if it failed in the next month, he'd come back out, put in a new timer, and apply the $90 that the current repair had cost as a credit toward the timer replacement. That seemed extremely fair to me.
As it turned out, the fix worked fine when using the numbered timer settings, but not when using qualitative ones (like Energy Dry). We were concerned this might mean the repair would not hold up, or even that there might be a dangerous electrical problem, so we asked Lazaro to come out and put the new timer in instead. He did so promptly, though the final cost was about $50 more than expected.
Days later we found that the dryer still didn't work right on those qualitative settings; in fact, to our dismay we found that the the dryer would never stop its cycle if we used those settings! Thank goodness the dryer had an automatic cutout that would temporarily pause the dry cycle if the temperature rose to high, or we could have had a fire. When we discovered this, I called Lazaro immediately, and he came out the next day. He tested the timer, and concluded that there was no problem as long as we stayed away from the qualitative settings. We agreed that we didn't need those.
