The toilet in our master bathroom malfunctioned this morning ( of course, as we were getting dressed). I called Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. and was immediately provided with a prompt, cheerful, and professional greeting. A service appointment was scheduled for later the same day for sometime between 230PM - 400PM. Tommy, the plumber, arrived promptly at 228PM!! He was courteous, professional, and worked efficiently after assessing the problem. He even mentioned the Angie's List coupon before I did. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend it to my friends and coworkers. Thanks, Angie's List, for another winner!

Excellent. David was very professional and proficient. All work was done within one hour, and he arrived within an hour of my call to the company.

My husband made the service call on Thursday or Friday. We scheduled an appointment for today (Monday) at 0900. The service professional was out in front of my home at 0855. He knocked on my door at 0900. He was very professional & courteous. He explained everything in a way that was understandable for me. He also kindly answered an unrelated question. By 1000 my toilets were fixed & he was on his way. It only took an hour because Jose wanted to ensure that the problem with the toilets had been resolved. I highly recommend this company and especially, Jose. Will definitely become my go-to for future plumbing issues.

Excellent Job! If I was stuck in an island with a plumbing problem and one call to make - These are the folks I would call without any hesitation. Henry, Maria(Permits), and Marcus did an exceptional job in what was supposed to be a simple job, but became a complicated one when dealing with the complex world of Miami Building Permits, and Condo Associations. They not only got the job done, but stuck with us until we were able to finally get the job completed.

They told me the water heater needed to be replaced. I appreciated the fact that they said I could buy one myself for installation, so they didn't try to pressure me into buying one of theirs. They charge you for the time it takes to drive to your house, so the billing starts even before they arrive. I don't know if this is industry standard for plumbers. Also, they charge extra for nights and weekends. For me it is very difficult to be available 9-5 but I made it work because I was not paying time and a half overtime hourly rate for a saturday. The plumber was professional. So, overall it costed me $90 just to have them come out and tell me my water heater needed to be replaced.

They were definitely professional from the phone to the finish of the job. No complaints there. 1. I made a same day appointment and they showed up a big late, they called to notify me and I expected that when making an appointment for the same day. That showed professionalism and it should be noted. 2. Pipe on roof were snaked for approximately two hours and were cleared (or so I thought) 3. I had requested a camera inspection which could not be done because there seemed to be a problem getting into the pipes. Once the clog was cleared (albeit very temporarily), that's where it started to get a bit uncomfortable. I was charged for travel time which was not specified in the phone estimate. Then the plumber started to offer additional services which could be performed by the hour with no real time estimate, I felt somewhat pressured to make a decision which I resisted. I ended up paying the full charge for what I was quoted to be a two hour + camera inspection. Even with the 10% Angie's discount, I ended up $15 over what I was quoted. I am still waiting on the estimates for the fixes they offered. Now approximately two weeks later, I am once again backed up which begs the question, why did they charge me 3X more than the other guys for something that they fixed for barely two weeks if that long? The two other plumbers did not guarantee their work also but at least they didn't charge me travel time, by the hour and they cost 2/3 less for the same lousy result. I would be ok paying 3X more, for better results and if they had cleaned up after themselves. I am especially disappointed because they told me I would be OK for a while even if I chose not to install a "clean out" for a while. When my plumber leaves and says, "we'll get you the estimate but you should be OK for a while after this" I expect my money to go a little further. "A while" to me in plumbing terms to me meant 6 months to a year not 2 weeks, I should have asked him to define "a while" oh well, lesson learned. Off to go call the next plumber and get ready to have my yard dug up. Bummer.

The work was done quickly and professionally. The service man explained everything he was doing, and the price was reasonable. Excellent!

sewer Received a call from my gardener in the morning that there was water in the back yard I call the Miami Beach city water department to come an turn off the meter that was running. I had assumed it was my sprinkler system. When I got home I found out it was the main line to my house. I call Roto Rooter which I had used before. My first mistake. They promised to be at my house before 6:00 that night and at 5:30 they called to tell they could not make it but would be here first thing in the morning between 8:00 and 9:00Am. I was stuck but said OK. Second mistake. Started trying to reach them in the morning and they keep promising someone would be at my house SOON. My third mistake was to believe them. At 11:30AM I went on Angie's list and found Douglas Orr Plumbing. I call ed and pleaded my case and the office person was very nice and was able to let me know they would be able to get to me within one hour or as soon as their next person was availalbe. They arrived at 12:45PM and had completed every thing I needed done, even a few extras like cleaning sewer line and kitchen caulking. I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend them.

The tech was very prompt and courteous and explained the work he was going to perform and then reviewed what he found during his repair work. I felt very well informed about what was happening during the whole visit.

The receptionist on the phone is very professional and friendly and works hard to fit you in. Both of the men who came to do the work on the two separate occasions were very professional, friendly, and had a neat and clean appearance/uniform. They both quickly and quietly cleared my drains and went the extra mile in making sure there was absolutely no mess at all. Besides cleaning as they went, they made sure the bathroom was the way they found it and did test rums in front of me to make sure I saw that the job had been done. I would whole-heartedly recommend this company to anyone. I had a coupon for 10% off that I used and the first time I forgot it, and the gentleman reminded me, as he did not want me to pay more than I had to!!!!Unbelievable! These guys are professional and honest. Triple thumbs up!!!!!!

As a matter of fact I will be using Douglas Orr Pluming in the next two weeks. Everything about them is professional. They are prompt and thorough. The plumber was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will give them an "A" on everything.

Total work time was one hour and plumber arrived within 45 minutes of call. Bill Dopico was the plumber and he was an excellent professional and a credit to his firm. Will definitely use this company again and will also recommend them to our Coop Board.

He arrived when expected, got the job done and even came up with a creative fix for the shower instead of breaking the drywall in the attached bedroom. I highly recommend the company and will use again.

The one thing I love is that they come right away. They talk to you on the phone and they are very prompt and responsive. They are a little expensive but they are just right down the street, so that is why we go with them. They have been out here for everything and they come right away. They were on time.

Darryl Eggler, the project manager and estimator was my main point of contact and a pleasure to deal with all the way through this project which took about 4 separate visits. He was always flexible, understanding and easy to deal with in coordinating his crews with what I was doing. There is a certain outstanding work ethic with this company as each separate crew that came, whether for demolition, concrete or plumbing work behaved in a professional, workmanlike manner and did an excellent job. Darryl knows his stuff as was borne out by his estimates of where the pipes and vents were running under the floor before it was torn up. They had to remove the concrete floor a foot or more down into the dirt inside a condominium unit and rerun the pipes to a new shower installation as well as move the toilet to a new location. This is a solid, reliable company that apparently does big jobs as well as little ones like mine but never did I feel that I was getting second class treatment. I highly recommend them and will use them for any issues I have in my investment properties as well.

i asked for an estimate to diagnose and repair the drain. they gave me a quote, We made an appointment right away for the next morning. I was early for the appointment they were earlier. They did the work professionally (which was more involved than originally thought), and left the place cleaner than they found it. I was very satisfied. I will certainly use them again. I will recommend them to a friend.

The entire experience is great. The response, profesionalism and knowledge are all excellent. We were visited by Darryl who showed up exactly as scheduled. He was extremely nice and professional. He explained everything that i wanted to know in great detail. He also offered different options and ideas that i had not thought about earlier. We will most likely use the services of Douglass Orr plumbing when we are ready to start with the work.

This is my 2nd experience using Douglas Orr Plumbing, this assignment on relatively new construction. I scheduled next day service, requesting if they could provide me with the same technician who had completed work successfully on another property with a professionalism that was an assuring pleasure. Andreas showed up as scheduled; again he came, saw and conquered moving steadily, proficiently from task to task; out with the old / in with the new, making adjustments, cleaning or replacing a few parts throughout the home. While his hands were busy he kindly consulted as he went - because I 'm curious how these things work. Overall painless, in fact a pleasure; and now all plumbing fixtures work better, restored to optimum performance as designed. Douglas Orr Plumbing and Andreas should be receiving my 3rd call shortly on an older property with galvanized pipes. Yikes! The challenges escalate.

From the first call to qualify company, check availability and set appointment; the terms and way of doing business was clearly explained from the outset. Then responsive to our needs, following through, doing what they said they would do; shortly we received a call back from Andreas that he was in route. He came, he saw, he conquered - consulting us with our many question while he worked. Yes, imagine; his hands were busy while he explained all our plumbing 101 questions with no air of being put out or annoyed. Polite, professional diligent service.
