The two-man crew arrived exactly when arranged, spent time trouble shooting the problems, unblocked the drain, then fixed three toilets (all were more than 20 years old and had a variety of problems - one of which had to be wholly rebuilt and re-installed since our own maintenance crew took it apart trying to find the blockage and the leak ). I had originally called them to come fix the one toilet when our maintenance crew said they could not. The other two toilets were functional (one only barely so) and since they were here and had the supplies, I had them service all three. They were also called out to locate two septic tanks in two parts of the property (which needed to be located before we can arrange to get them pumped out). They gave me rough schematics of drain path and the tank locations so I can add that to the property records since the lawn and landscaping would hide them again in time. David & Mike were very professional and very pleasant, left the work areas (bathrooms) cleaner than they found them, carefully made out the invoice and gave me the Angie's List Discount. They are definitely on my list of service professionals that I would call again for work at either the business or my home.

Didn't go at all. I can understand a travel fee to get an estimate on a repair, but for a new gas line installation? That's ridiculous. Perhaps it was just the idiot answering the phone, but there is no way I am paying $75 for an estimate of this nature.

He unclogged the sewer pipe very quickly.

I had a leak in a water pipe in the house, the house was built in 1970. Ricky came out and explained the procedures that needed to be done to replace all of the pipes. He is very professional, skilled and friendly and I felt relieved knowing I had confidence in having found the perfect company and staff to complete my job. Ricky and Chris came to do the work and it was comforting to know that I would not have to worry about my house flooding because of bad pipes. They were a joy to be around and they went out of their way to make things easier for me since I have some health issues. They sincerely care and take all steps necessary to make the customer happy. If i had to score them on their work from 1 to 10 - it would be an 11+. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and will certainly call them for all of my plumbing problems in the future. Ricky and Chris did an outstanding job!

The leak was under the floor, so instead of digging up the tile in our hallway, the plumber capped the defective pipe and ran a new one through the attick to the kitchen. It was a tedious task, but all went well. The plumber was extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with.

They were phenomenal. We have a technician named Lui. He was so honest. We recently bought the property. We had a whole list of things that we wanted him to do. He didn't overcharge us and he didn't try to do things that he didn't need to do. He was very honest and reliable. He fixed everything. The prices were really good.

He did a good job and explained what was going on.

The plumber that was sent over was on time, professional and courteous. He took the time to explain what the issues were and what he would have to do in order to fix them. I couldn't be happier with the service provided and the demeanor and helpfulness of the plumber sent.

These guys are great. Everything was done professionally and to code and done promptly with no fuss.

We had a clogged bathroom drain, and unfortunately for us, it's been a recurring problem. I tried someone new, Doug Orr, because I was not satisfied with our last plumber. I had two distinct experiences, and I'll discount one for the quality of the other. First off, as a new customer, the front office needs some lessons. I called, described the problem, and they said they could send someone out soon. Then, they wanted my name, credit card number, security code, address, email, and... it went on. I refused at credit card number. Sorry, but you don't know me and I don't know you. You haven't done anything for me so you don't get my CC details yet. I have no problem paying for service or being told to pay for service when completed, but cc details over the phone to a stranger won't happen. Professionalism of the front office needs work. Now for the good news, the plumber. He showed up about an hour after I called. He was a nice guy, listened to my problem and previous attempts to fix it. He was the first plumber that used the clean-out right next to the bathrooms. The other plumbers listened to me tell about it, but went to the vents. He had the problem fixed in about 30 minutes, after pulling out a "sewer rat". I asked about tree roots, a collapsed pipe, what might be causing the problem to repeat. He said no, it's human caused. He even told me how to temporarily fix the problem if it ever happened again. Nice, friendly guy, genuinely interested in solving the problem. I have a new plumber.

The plumber showed up on time and did what he was supposed to do. A great experience and I would use them again.

Called them, made the appointment, they came out and did the work. No problems, the worker was pleasant and knowledgable he was able to identify the source of the leak within 5 minutes, and then fixed it.

My aunt was experiencing very high water and sewer usage rates. The Water and Sewage Department had already checked the meter and found it to be working correctly. Douglas Orr had previously provided very good work at reasonable charges so we called them again. The company called us the day before to confirm the date and time. Nestor arrived on time and proceeded to check the meter. He showed me how the meter worked. I had not realized that you look at the little diamond shape to see if it was circling and not just the meter that works very slowly. He shut off all the faucets and fixtures and turn them on one at a time, while checking the meter for each one. I was with him the whole time and we concluded that the housekeeper was excessively watering the newly planted plants and grass. As it is rainy season we will no longer water the plants and will keep checking the meter to check the usage. As Miami-Dade water rates are projected to significantly rise, I will check Angie's list for a well and pump vendor for an estimate as well as check with the County to get a rain barrel to collect the water for the plants. Douglas Orr has always provided me with efficient and professional service. Nestor met my expectations.

The Technician came in and suggested we'd not use a leak detector right away as it would be to expensive (which was very professional of him). He proceeded to suggest cutting a small hole in the kitchen (where water stains show) and we were able to deduct where the leak may have originated. Although we did not find the exact source, we did rule out where it did not come from and that gave me peace of mind.

They advised me on the best brand to buy that I ordered from Home Depot and installed it the day after I received the new unit.

Contacted Douglas Orr to repair a leaky faucet and a running toilet. The initial phone rep was extremely friendly. The service man arrived at the beginning of the time window but didn't call ahead of time like I had asked. This was inconvenient because I was at work and had to rush home to meet him. Luckily, I called the company early to check the status and was told he was already on his way. The rep was unapologetic when I said that I hadn't received a missed call or voicemail and told me that he hadn't been able to reach me. When I spoke with him, he seemed unaware that he was supposed to call me at all. He repaired the leaky faucet but could not repair the toilet as it required a special order. I had to pay by the hour (plus parts) even though the total faucet repair took about 20 minutes, so I was a little bothered that I am going to have to pay again for the toilet. However, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because I think they may have asked me about the toilet brand when I first called. Overall, I felt the cost was high for such a small, quick job and I was disappointed that I was not called ahead of time. I'm waiting on a quote for the special order and would use them again, but I will probably call around first.

They came to the house on time. They were very professional. Did the job and more and I'm going to use them again. It was great.

Everything was excellent. Arrived right at our scheduled time, and handled all the repairs quickly and without any problems. I will certainly be using them again for all my plumbing needs.

Called to schedule an appointment on Memorial Day and they promptly returned my call the very next morning. Was easily able to get an appointment the following morning. The plumber showed up about 25 minutes early (which is fine by me) and quickly diagnosed the issue. He replaced the rubber connector that attaches the dishwasher drain hose to the garbage disposal. Completed his work in about 10 minutes. Very professional and courteous.

It went great and the cost was lest than the phone quote. The repair person was right on time as promised and completion was less than a half hour. I would highly recommend this business to others

I recently moved into a new home and had hired Douglas Orr the week I moved in for a clogged drain and was VERY pleased. This particular instance I was repairing a rocking toilet with my father-in-law. I originally thought I just needed to replace the wax seal because the toilet was rocking but as all home repairs turn out, there is more than meets the eye. The floor flange was actually about 3/4 of an inch higher than my bathroom floor. I called to see what the process would be like to remove and re-install/replace the flange at the correct level--level with the floor. Douglas Orr was very helpful over the phone explained step by step, what we could do and offered to come do it for us and told us when they could come (the same day) and how long it would take and how much it would cost. (since we already had the toilet off it was only going to be about 30 minutes labor plus a few dollars in parts. As usual, they were very friendly and very helpful!! We decided to do a temporary fix and (oh boy... here is a home fix if you ever wanted to hear one) break up some of the extra tile I had into a bunch of small pieces and cement them in the shape of the toilet stool in order to lift the toilet high enough to keep it from rocking. It sounds crazy, but it worked, looks slightly funny on the bottom but it works! Eventually I will hire Douglas Orr to come out and level the flange but with so many home improvements in a new home I had to select my priorities for my budget--we plan on remodeling this bathroom someday so that will be a good time to have them fix it properly.

A shutoff valve stopped working and made it so that I wasn't able to turn off the hot water on the kitchen sink. The repairman came by right on time and diagnosed the problem right away. He managed to fix the problem without shutting the water off to the rest of the units in the building. After he left I noticed I had the same problem with the cold water. I called again and they dispatched another plumber pretty quickly and promptly fixed that problem as well. I was very happy with their service.

I used Douglas Orr Plumbing Inc for a rental property in Broward County. They were professional and resolved al the problems.

Tom at Douglas Orr Plumbing was fantastic. Upon attempting to remove and install a new kitchen faucet I found my hot water shut off was broken and wouldn't turn off completely. Not being an expert plumber, I called Douglas Orr and they sent Tom out hours after I called. What service. It turned out the water shut off (not the main, just the hot and cold in the kitchen) were corroded. He shut off the water main before attempting to shut off the valves in the kitchen, which promptly broke right off, as they were corroded over a period of 50 years. Thankfully I didn't attempt this myself, as they needed some minor welding to replace. Then, once the valves were replaced and he installed the new faucet, it was broken (Moen manufacturer's deficiency), to which he attempted to save me some $ by fixing, but it just wasn't possible. He waited while I ran to Home Depot to get a replacement, and installed it in minutes. Great job, professionally done, cleaned everything up before leaving, and was pleasant the whole way through. I highly recommend Douglas Orr.

Spoke with the Service Manager and he was very courteous and polite. He said that they are in a process of moving into this market as well but do not perform service work here as of right now. Still, nothing negative to say about them.
