Professional, timely and and reliable. Was able to identify but Could not fix the problem. Was very straightforward about it and did not charge full rates.

I have used Douglas Orr once before, thanks to Angie's List, and didn't hesitate to call them again when the shower head water pressure abruptly slowed to a trickle. Due to the age and previous incomplete maintenance of the house, I was concerned that there may have been a larger problem. The plumber (Tom) quickly found and removed the blocked restrictor. While this may have been a simpler solution, it was beyond my initial scope of knowledge. Due to other priorities, my original appointment was rescheduled, but the scheduler was proactive and responsive to make sure I was regularly informed. On the day of service, Tom arrived promptly and was completely personable and professional. I appreciated that he had booties to wear over his shoes so as not to track anything from the outside. Additionally, Tom provided further recommendations for any future repair and maintenance of the shower, which was greatly appreciated.

Trouble shooting to resolve a hard to figure out problem with good success. Very satisfied.

Fernando showed up a few minutes EARLY! Even though this turned out to be more of a handyman than plumbing issue, he found a solution and fixed the problem! I've been using Douglas Orr Plumbing at my home and rental properties for six years and highly recommend them!!

A plumber called to say he would charge 140 to drive to the house and another 140 per hour. He called back an hour later and said it would now cost us 210 just to drive to the house. I don't understand where the extra 70 in travel expenses came from.

The rep came to my house when promised, reviewed the proposed replacement and gave me an estimate, recommended a different tankless heater than I was thinking of using and set up an appointment to do the job. The plumber came out when promised, quickly completed the job, described the new heater operation and left. The heater has worked flawlessly since. I'm a very happy customer!

I made an appointment for two in the afternoon but they did not arrive until six that night. They were not punctual but they were responsive. They could not do the work I wanted because it was too late in the day and it was too dark outside. They had to come the next week to complete the job which was inconvenient for my renters. I did not like the service and I would not use them again especially because they are located in Miami which is not near me. I wish they had would have added to their profile on Angie's List that they charge for travel.

Decades ago, my grandparents did business with the Orr family- always quality plumbing work. In addition, the Orrs gave back to the community and supported the public good. Subsequent generations have continued the family tradition. The technician today repaired two toilets in a commercial application. He spoke Spanish, and went about his work quietly, quickly, efficiently, and flawlessly.

He arrived on time and open a small piece of my drywall at the garage. He did not find anything and after 30 minutes he left the house charging me USD 85,00 for the visit. After he left, I open another piece of the drywall just a few inches away and bingo, there is was : a lot of water running from my wall. In my point of view, this was a very bad service and most important, very irresponsible

Before calling the company, I have to say I tried everything myself. Bought a hand snake, tried a dissolving solution, and even the old 5 gl bucket of water to force anything down the pipes. After spending about $50.00 i decided to search on Angie's List. Based on the good reviews I called 3 different companies. Within the days time Douglas Orr called me back to schedule the appointment. Due to my schedule and theirs we could not schedule something right away, but we were able to pencil it in within 5 days from the originated call. Appointment was scheduled for 2:00 on the 19th of November. On the day of the appointment I had to call to verify that they were still coming at about 2:15. They clarified that the tech was running a little late but that he should arrive in 10 min. 2:30 rolls by, 2:45, 3:00. I called again, and they seemed surprise he wasn't there yet. In his defense, this is a new neighborhood and it does not appear on all GPS's, but I feel I should've had a courtesy call considering I specifically told them I had an appointment at 4 somewhere else. The technician then called me to confirm the address and 15 min later he was there. Steve was very professional on the phone and upon arrival. I pointed him to the problem, he made a first attempt that turned out unsuccessful. He proceeded on saying that the toilet may have to come out, but he was going to try one more thing. Sure enough his second tool called " closet....." something, i don't remember really, did the trick. I was very relieved. We spoke a little about our kids while he wrote up the invoice. I claimed the Angie's List 10% discounted coupon with him and gave him a check. Over all Steve represented his company very well, and I'm glad I used Douglas Orr Plumbing. Living in Miami, everybody is always trying to pull a fast one, and it's good to have a solid company doing some honest work. As I mentioned before, I would have liked a courtesy call to notify me about the tardiness, but the service recovered for the fault. Everything has worked well since. Thank you.

This is the second time I use this company's services. All three repairs were made. There is nothing like the feeling of having repairs made professionally, everything works properly again and the price was fair. Easy to see why this company is so highly ranked. Repairman's truck broke down and he had the decency of calling and advising he would be a little late.

Good service repaired bathroom sink water valve

The tech was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. When the shower was turned to med hot or hotter, it would literally scream. He came in took shower valve apart and was able to diagnosis very quickly. He told us this company warranties for life. He took a picture of the needed part to help in accurate replacement and emailed it to us. We were able to contact the company describe exactly what was needed and it was shipped the same day. We will have to contact Orr plumbing again to install the new part, yet it will be well worth it. Thank you for awesome service.

Service tech was great - courteous, helpful and great work.

Employee managed to turn on the pilot light after approx 40 minutes of tinkering, this subsequently went out 2 days later. he fitted a shower head as minimum charge was 1 hour and i gave him other jobs, this leaked a week later and had to be re-done. checked gas oven which did not need any work. I'm back at square one.

10/30/13 My kitchen faucet started leaking a day before I called the provider. Since it was my kitchen faucet and we use the faucet to bathe our new born baby. I was a little bit in a hurry to fix this problem. 10/31/13 Initial Call I called the provider at 8:00 am. I explained my situation and the rep gave me a 4-hour window to come before noon. The rep inputted my information and I thought I was going to have a technician come to my house before noon. It turned out that my information was never stored and another rep had to re-input my service call to get a technician to come to my house. The good news, the technician came within an hour or so. Plumber Arrives I explained to the plumber the leaky kitchen faucet. He was able to identify as a a leak within the pull-out faucet. The pull-out faucet was a bit out dated and needed to be replaced overall. The plumber did the job pretty quickly and I was relieved that there was no more leak. Prior to entering the house I explained to the plumber a sleeping baby, so he was able to do all his work without any noisy power tools and very quietly so I was extremely satisfied with this! Overall Experience There was a bit of miscommunication with my first attempt to get a technician to my house. But overall, I was delighted with the price and quality of work. The faucet installed was provided by the plumber which was also convenient since I didn't have to run out and get one.

This is my 3rd time utilizing the services of Douglas Orr Plumbing. The first 2 visits were Good. This 3rd time was particularly weak. I was scheduled for 0830. The company called to inform me that they would be late due to plumber working until 0500. The plumber called me at 1017am when he arrived at my condo community gate. By the time he arrived at my front door, it was roughly 1025. After inspecting my toilet, he went out to his van and spent roughly 6-8 mins picking up his tool. After the work was completed, the time was roughly 1130. The hourly rate was $94 and the parts cost $22. The final official time documented was from 10:15 to 1130. Obviously the plumber started his clock before he even reached my home. I was charged for the extra 1/2 hour as the plumber rounded the 15 mins up. The disheartening aspect of all this was after review of the actual work performed in respect to the actual time billed, the plumber was obviously trying very hard to squeeze out the extra $42 for the 1/2 hour. Based on the above sequence of events,The billing could have easily been under 1 hour. On top of everything, the plumber was not very responsive.

Was a little late (promised 9-12, arrived a little after 1pm), however the staff at the home office did not get frustrated with my "eta" phone calls. Once provider arrived, knew what the problem was right away, fixed it very quickly, was professional and courteous. Price was very reasonable. Have already scheduled a follow up appointment in a few days to fix other plumbing issues as well as a new water heater (which was "all inclusive" which is nice).

They are wonderful and trustworthy. They are very competent and careful to work with. I trust them implicitly.

After using a plunger and every drain cleaning concoction in the book, I called on Sunday for Monday service - they arrived by 10AM. Plumber was knowlegeable, resourceful and efficient. He had my drain clean in about an hour and it has been perfect since! I spent a total of about $80 on chemicals and a plunger trying to "do it myself" - I should have called these guys first! Thanks!

I wasn't there, but I've heard no complaints so I assume it was successful.

Douglas Orr is my plumber because of their professionalism and their price. At one point, I thought I had to replace a garbage disposal, so I had one ready for the plumber. Once he arrived and saw that it was a new disposal with something stuck in it. He was able to clean and replace the old disposal and thus saving me money by not having an unneeded service done. I returned the new disposal to Home Depot and saved about $90. Douglass Orr is, in my experience, is professional, courteous, and did I mention clean! I would recommend this company to anyone in the Hollywood Lakes area.

Tom came out and was polite, quick, and thorough. He located two different problems and let me know what I may or may not to expect. He chose the least invasive repair which worked. I can see why Douglas Orr receives very good reviews.

It went very well. I created some confusion with the appt (I may not have even actually set the appt!) but they were gracious and accommodating and arrived when they said they would. They ran the camera down the line and showed me exactly where the blocking was happening.
