These guys are really responsive. Needed a water heater ASAP and they came through sooner than I expected...the same day!! The installed, Ed, just left 20 minutes ago and I couldn't wait to write this review. I typically am not good for providing written feedback for companies..if I like your service/product I'll return again, if not, you'll never see me again and I'd be sure to share that negative experience with my friends and family. My experience from initial phone call to install was a great one. I spoke with Vicky in the office and asked questions about water heaters. She provided information on what I asked and never once tried to "sell" me. Long story short, she got me setup with an install in a matter of a few hours. Ed arrived and inspected the work area and got right to work. His demeanor was very friendly and cordial...not very typical what I've run across dealing with plumbers/roofers/installers, etc. It was refreshing really. He did the work and was very professional. If I had to provide any negative mark it would be that he did not inform me when he would be turning off the water to the entire house...that was odd, but not earth shattering. Also, he had to use a blow torch to connect/disconnect pipes and fittings and the drippings were left on the floor and the washer. Other than those minor issues I consider this project a total success from start to finish. Would definitely use these guys again and refer them. Being that I found them using this Angie's List service, I figured I needed to take the time to leave this feedback as a way to help promote the professional way their handle themselves. Cost for 1/2 hour travel time. 1 hour of actual work done. Was told that he was here for 1 1/2 hour instead. Charged for 2 hours...Ran test to check other parts of the Water Heater. even though I was told it was the Timer and not the Hot Water Heater. Sorry Can't Recommend this Company.

Nestor was my plumber and he saved me all the headaches and was an amazing plumber. Very technical and knowledgeable.

I received the call and at 2:40 my plumber, Alex S. , arrived. He got to work right away, explaining everything that needed to be done as he worked. I asked him if he could do a few other things when he was done with the toilet: unclog a sluggish tub drain, install a new showerhead which I had already purchased, and install a new faucet aerator on my bathroom sink. He cheerfully said "no problem" and EVERYTHING was complete by 3:20. That's 40 minutes start to finish! He went to the truck and came back with an itemized bill (with my Angie's List 10% Discount included) for $166.00 ! Alex was very knowledgeable and professional, and just a pleasant person to work with. I will definitely use the company, and Alex, for any future plumbing issues that might arise.

Orr Plumbing was very responsive--tried to get a plumber to me the same day I called and if it hadn't been for having to leave to pick up guests at the airport it would have worked out. They were great about rescheduling. Plumber showed up as scheduled, did the work quickly. Was honest about the problem and didn't try to make it more work than it was. Gave us good advice about the installation of a hot water heater. I am so glad I called them and will absolutely use them any time I need a plumber! If I could give them an A+++++++++ I would!

plumber,Mike, showed up on time and efficiently worked on a new outdoor faucet with an easy close off switch...addressing my concern about closing valves. I would definitely hire him again.

I called to get somebody to check for a leak on a property. The lady who answered the phone took all my information and when she was ready to confirm the date and time of the appointment requested a credit card number. In light of the fraud that going on who does it. I refused to give her my credit card number and she said that she can't schedule an appointment without it. I thanked and hung up the phone.

Arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Explained everything thing he did and let the bathrooms neat and clean. You would have never known there was work done. I would definately use them again.

First of all, the office staff at Douglas Orr is wonderful - helpful, friendly, well-informed and responsive. I called at noon and they promised to do whatever they could to have someone come the same day and said they'd be sure he had a replacement disposal with him just in case. They called back at 2:15 to say a plumber was on his way and he was at my home by 2:45 and out by 3:45. He checked the faulty disposal, showed it was broken, not jammed and having brought a replacement installed it quickly and efficiently. The technician was friendly, had helpful tips about how to prolong a disposal's life cycle and explained why the connecting pipe had begun to leak (I learned a good lesson: always run cold water down into the sink while draining pasta or emptying a kettle of boiling water because the hot water alone can, over time, melt and elongate PVC pipes, causing them to loosing their connection. Who knew?) The work was done professionally and completely and for the price I expected (when I first called the dispatcher was very clear about their rates - no surprises). When I have to replace my water heater, I'll be back to Douglas Orr - recommended without hesitation.

They came out right away, made the diagnosis and then returned the next morning and made the repair. The repair person was professional and courteous. I would definitely call them again.

I started calling this plumbing service in the 1980's. Over the years, a good experience. However, a different plumber every visit, some talkative. This visit was on time, replaced with smaller unit that fit the tank better, and the usual work was done professionally.

The plumber arrived in a short notice (as promised). He quickly identified the problem and work diligently until he completed the work. The house is very all and most metal parts are rusty. However, he was able to remove the toilet, install a new donut and set the seat back. He also ran a snake to clear the pipe. He needed to work inside and outside. Every time he came in, he done clean booties to protect the carpet. After the job was completed, the area was clean. We are very please with the service provided

he was very punctual and extremely polite, i don't think he was expensive. i would definitely use this company again. i was very impressed.

Had sewer drainage backflowing into my shower and needed help fast. This company was very responsive and got someone out to me quickly. He was very nice and seemed to do a good job, however he probably didn't rooter far enough because the problem recurred just a month later. End result, I had to pay again to have the same work done. That is my only complaint. Both service guys were friendly and prompt, and the second one fixed the problem.

I called after-hours and left a message on their emergency. I received a call back (as they said) in less than 30 minutes. The plumber who came out was named Boris and he was EXTREMELY nice and professional. Kudos to him! He arrived at the time we agreed and was ready to go. When he was finished he cleaned the area in which he was working and tested to verify there were no leaks. I do not have a printer at home, but he was nice enough to accept the Angie's List coupon. On a side note: I didn't really shop around so I don't know how competitive the price was, but it was well worth it! Thank you Boris and Douglas Orr Plumbing! -rudy

The service person was fast, knowledgeable and professional

Secured two toilets that were rocking. Stopped leaking toilet. Stopped toilet that would not stop flushing.

Came the same day I called as we couldn't use the bathrooms. Very pleased with the service.

I would not hesitate in recommending them....In particular Alex was a truly knowledgeable professional...the kind you just don't see anymore. He was young, fast and focused. He didn't get lost wandering around the property or taking calls in the truck. He tackled each job in succession with precision and efficiency. I was very very pleased.

Installed a dish washer that required special attention, not amenable to standard installation provided by seller. Came on time and went well. Man stayed to verify correct operation. Date given is very approximate

The work was done in timely and professional manner. The plumber was especially courteous and explained all of the work. I have used this company several times and I am convinced that this is an exceptional company, doing high quality work at fair prices. I will continue to have to do small and large jobs at my house.
