I called in the morning to get a quote to replace about 50 ft of galvanized steel from the water meter to my house and to replace the shutoff spicket that you can close or open the water going to the house. I explained everything from the size of existing pipe and footage, etc. I was told I would get a call back and that it was mandatory I give an email address so the quote can be emailed. I provided all. I get a call back within the hour telling me they need to send someone to the house to quote the job and that there is a service charge to quote the job. UNBELIEVABLE !!! Service charge for a quote !! At that point I asked the woman to give me a verbal 'guestimate' that I would not hold her to just to give me a rough idea of what the numbers would be. I had no idea if we were talking hundreds or thousands of dollars. No cooperation what so ever. Will never user.

Very poor opening reception.

1st plumber to arrive to the work area said it was raining and thus, could not perform the service. He didn't even look at a bathroom. 2nd plumber ran a snake through back and roof. Problem was supposedly fixed within less than an hour. As the problem persisted, and everything was coming out through a pipe in my backyard a 3rd plumber was sent 5 days later, as a courtesy. 3rd plumber did the same thing, ran a snake, which hadn't worked before, and the problem was not fixed. Called in to let them know about it and was told that if I wanted a plumber to come again with a snake, I would have to pay for it, and if I wanted a camera in there, it was a higher rate. So when I asked why that hadn't been mentioned to me from the very beginning and told them that I felt I was being ripped of, the lady said she was sorry and hang up. If your problem simple, call them. Otherwise, spare yourself the bad experience.

They sent a plumber there within three hours and fixed the problem and sent me a very reasonable bill. They've been very good and very punctual. Their prices are very reasonable.

The provider arrived punctually. Water supply to the house needed to be turned off and was very difficult - / stuck. Although the provider did not have a tool to close it - I provided one - and he closed the pipe and then installed the valves. One valve was very difficult - but he stayed longer - until he could get it done correctly. Was friendly, professional, and worked hard.

They did an excellent job. It was $98 an hour, they said it would take six hours, but it didn't take six hours. The gentleman was extremely polite. I called to see if he could come back because, I forgot to have my outside spigots connected to the sub-meter. He was really thorough at his job. I would have liked to have paid less. I am using them again.

I expressed my displeasure with having to pay $100 just for an estimate, said thank you and hung up. How did this company get an A rating? They may do good work, and they may respond quickly when you have an emergency, but to pay that much just to get an estimate is ridiculous.

Excellent ! Davd R. installed a new kitchen faucet which we had purchased, corrected a toilet leak, installed 2 new shower heads. He replaced 3 outdoor water spiggots that weren't working well. Excellent Plumber! Uses tarps inside and is very neat. A+

I will not call this company anymore

Excellent in all regards. Because it was gushing and we couldn't turn it off he made time in his schedule to check it our . Showed up and notified us of his arrival just like he said. Determined the problem was not major and fixed quickly and reasonably. Very professional, honest and resourceful. Will use them every time we have plumbing issues for now on.

I arrived home about 2:15 pm on Thursday to find water running out of my garage. The pipe from my solar panel to the hot water heater has ruptured and water was spewing from the top of the unit. After shutting off the water and assessing the water damage, I called this plumbing company at 2:40 pm. I was given the normal and overtime rates. A bit high, but I needed the repair done. I was told that because of the hour, the overtime rate would apply and that I would be put on the list for the next available service technician. At 7:00 pm I called and left a message as to when I could expect a technician to arrive. My call was promptly returned at 7:04 pm by the (very polite) emergency technician. He had no record of my request. Since it would take him at least an hour to come out (at overtime rates) and I have no lighting in my garage, it was not feasible for him to do so. I told him that should he get the work order, it was to be considered canceled. Obviously, the person who took my call deemed it unnecessary to initiate a work order. My water supply is a well and, with the water turned off, I was without water until I could find a reputable company...the following day. Needless to say, I will not be using Douglas Orr Plumbing...ever!

We always use Douglas Orr. Professional, punctual, reasonable and they've been in business a long time. This was an emergency repair, before the plumber came by he asked if we would like to wait until Monday so there was no emergency charge but I wanted to still place the emergency service call. When he came to the unit he tightened the water valve by hand and that pretty much solved the leaking issue. Instead of just leaving he then reminded me that I still had an hour of his time available, he said if there were any other plumbing issues he could take care of to let him know. While he was there I had him replace the tub drain. He recommended that we replace the piston in the toilet because the amount of money it would cost to repair it is almost as much as it would cost to buy a new one. I highly recommend them!!

They were fantastic. They came when they said they would be here. They were very efficient and quick. They are not over priced. They were very good.

Douglas Orr Plumbing always does a great job every time I call them. Would highly recommend for all of your plumbing needs.

He took parts to my sink and did not bring anything back. I have never heard from them again and they even charged me for this. I am disgusted with this company. They claimed they didn't even know who I was. I even got a bill a month ago that I did not need.

Jesus was the plumber that was sent out. He assessed the situation and replaced all the pipes that were not working properly and completed the installation. I asked for an additional service because one of the handles of the water connection was broken and he had the part in the truck. He was at my location 2 hours. It was really nice to have hot water after being a week without it because we thought we could do the job ourselves. Next time I think I will call the professional from the beginning. I was very pleased with the work Jesus did, the customer service at the initial call, and I had to call again because the courtesy discount for being an Angie's list member was not given by error. It was no problem it was taken care of by phone. I would certainly recommend them. They bill by the hour, not the job and the clock starts running half an hour before they get to your location, and you do get a call that the plumber is on the way.

I will do my absolute best to avoid this company in the future. No central point of contact, email and response rate was a disaster, mismanaged schedule, did not follow directions, I could go on and on. I called them because I needed to have my pumps fixed at one of my shopping centers. Although the guy was nice and on time, 7 hours and $800 later he determined that I needed new pumps. What work was done in those 7 hours? I have no idea, but I know that he bought a cinder block to prop up one of my pumps and was able to clear a blockage and clean our the large items. I still understand how this takes 7 hours. At the end of the day, one pump still does not work and I will now have to spend another $4,000 to replace the pumps. Thanks for nothing. I called them because I needed a backflow test done. I was charged $245 and still have no idea if it was done. They charged my credit card but never sent me a copy of the receipt or invoice until I told them that I did not receive it. The invoice does not state if it was indeed completed and if I was cleared, HOWEVER it did recommend that I have a pipe fixed, so they sent me a quote for another $1,930. Thanks for nothing. I called them because my tenants were complaining of a smell permeating though the bathrooms, and I told them I needed it fixed ASAP. I gave them the tenants' phone numbers and instructed them to call the tenants to schedule so that they could access the units AND work with the tenants to solve the problem. Their first try failed, not only did they forget to call and schedule with the tenants, they also showed up and did nothing because the tenants were not at the property yet, so we had to reschedule. On the next go around, I assume they were able to get a hold of the tenants and did some work, namely a smoke test. I got a bill for about $700 but they never called me back and told me what they did.... I did however get charged and was told to have more work done and was given a quote for more work. On top of all this, I had no central point of contact. I had to call multiple times for quotes, actually I had to beg, really beg, because these guys have no idea how to run a business. My time and money were wasted, you couldn't pay me enough to call these guys again.

Very satisfied. On time, worked expeditiously, no hitches or glitches, was polite, price was reasonable.

They had to dig underneath the foundation of the house and a small section in the wall. A lot of work. Very professional and courteous. Perhaps not the cheapest service, but I feel it is better to pay for the level of quality and professionalism Douglas Orr provided. I definitely recommend them.

Provider explained that he only went fifty feet and that future work might be required due to tree roots in the line.
