THE PRICE WAS GOOD. THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD.

There was a switch in personnel that caused extra weeks delay in getting the job done with multiple visits.
Both repairmen were very professional and Tony Burke who actually performed the repairs and replacements work around my schedule.  Repairs are good and very economical.

Handyman is essentially a "call-dispatch center".  It is based, I was told in Tampa, FL.  Contact is then made with contractor or handyman is your area.  Person sent to my home, was loud and argued how how a simple, through the wall air conditioner, should be installed.  In fact, he was just to replace the one already there with a newer one. Told me that he takes no responsibility for the work, quality, completion, etc. All complaints, like. shoddy work, etc., go to Handyman. This means if the matter ends up in Small Claims Court, it may be, far away.  He had no contract specifying how complaints are handled and the work in not guaranteed.  Put another way, there is no accountability.  Then he proceeded to solicit the work directly and not use Handyman.  He gave me a card, showing he is a licensed contractor, lack of confidence in his integrity, caused me to have no interest in verifying his info. Always expect the best and be prepared for the worst.  Too many handymen and contractors talk well and when problems occur, claim it was not clearly agreed in legal document, which they avoid. Also, am aware of past experience when handymen or contractor ask me to sign legal documents.  It does not include fixing what is wrong, only that they will install materials.  Good to make sure what the objective of the work is, not just what they will do and it is easy to write in to an Agreement, that they will fix what is needed and return if necessary if work does not fix what they were paid to do.

Work was done in a timely manner, work space was kept very clean and job was completed on budget according to bid provided.

Tony was very professional and did a beautiful job matching the shelving with our armoire. Highly recommend his services to anyone.

They were fine. I can't tell you who came or who it was. Everything went smoothly and I was very happy with it. They guy arrived on time and got the job done. The big deal was a good deal. I have no complaints. 

Tony met us at Home Depot to pick out wood and buy paint at about 8:00 am . He followed us back to the house and began
right to work to cut and began to install boards. He took a short break and worked to finish the job.The fan had a problem
with changing speeds smoothly, so he came back the next and put in another switch.The porch ceiling looks great and we
are very pleased with the overall job.

It didn't.

My husband showed the tradesman from Handyman Connection what needed doing to the countertop in the kitchen. When I got to see it I didn't like it at all. I did express this to them, I called them. He said that he'd like to correct it, but I knew he wasn't able to, because he didn't have the correct tools. I just wish he had been honest and told us he couldn't do the job, which other people had done. There was a lot of glue left around the sink. It was recommended I get someone who had the tools and expertise to work with granite. I had to call someone else out to fix it which cost me more money. It was a great price but the work wasn't what I wanted.

Tony Burke did a good job of changing out the doors and door frames.  He, however, did not do a good job of caulking.  It took us several hours to do sections that he missed and to remove excess caulking.

HAD TO MAKE A RETURN TRIP AS THE TWO FANS I INITIALLY PURCHASED WERE INCOMPATABLE WITH A LOW CEILING BEAM..

Perry did a very good job and the price was great!  The B rating is actually for the handy man connection call center (they are an out of area call center that connects you with their contractors).  They kept getting my name wrong and each time I called they had to take ALL of my information over again.  They were general confused and it was irritating.  However, Perry more than made up for the handy man connection call center with his responsiveness.  He had a great work ethic and worked very hard, he walked me through what he was going to do and gave me instructions on priming the walls after.  He even called to make sure that we were happy with the job and didn't have any questions a couple days later.

Tony came out and did a beautiful job at washing the home. He also went above and beyond to wipe down to prevent any streaking. I thought he did a good job at cleaning up after himself.

We did a little trouble having him come out in the beginning but they kept us updated the whole way. He did very good at paying attention to detail. He made things very simple to fix.

I believe Handyman Connection maybe using sub contractors to estimate and do the job.  The first estimate I received was way off the charts but I called Handyman Connection to say it was way more then I thought the job should cost.  I gave them a second chance to estimate it again.  They sent out a different person for the second estimate.  The second estimate came in less than half of the first estimate.  I did give them the job, which was performed by the second estimator, and was pleased with the amount of time it took to complete and the work was done to my satisfaction.

I called Handyman Connection for a quote on building a wall, installing a door and also trim on ceiling, floor, around door.  The professional customer service was incredible.  On 7/23/12 Tony Burke showed up at our home to give us an estimate on the wall and to give us a separate estimate for our bathroom remodel.  He was very prompt, courteous and extremely professional.  Listened to exactly what we wanted.  Tony came back on Thursday 7/26/12 and performed the work for the wall and door - unbelievable craftsmanship and professionalism.  He was very attentive to every detail.  I wish I would have found Tony 2 years ago when we did our remodel.  Best carpenter we've ever worked with - hands down!!  We have asked Tony to come back in September/October to do our bathroom remodel - can't wait!

All work was performed well.  Repairman was very reliable.

The job went very well overall.  I will use Handyman Connection (specifically Perry) again.

I used Tony Burke, he did a good job. I have a dog and he was good with him. He came in on budget which I greatly appreciate. He went up and beyond, polite and efficient. Seem to be very helpful. He was very clean

The handyman showed up on time and got right to work hanging tarps to protect the rest of the house.  He discovered code violations in the electrical wiring and fixed them first.  We paid for the parts needed but he didn't charge extra for his time.   He removed all the wood framing for the soffits, installed the strapping and insulated the whole area.  The drywall and one temporary light was installed by the end of the first day.  He even cleaned up to make sure we could use the kitchen that night.   Before leaving he cut up all the long pieces of lumber to make sure the garbage men could take them away easily.  

On his second day he taped and patched everything, put up two permanent light fixtures and made all the drywall perfectly seamless.    He finished the job well ahead of schedule and for less than we had expected.  It was a great job and we'll have him back when it comes time to put in the butcher block counter tops and for anything else we need.

Tony was a very hard worker and did an excellent job.  We used a 5% off coupon from their website.  We will be having him back for some additional work.

I wasn't happy with them at all. The person that came in seemed nice but he was very sloppy. It looked like it was done by an amateur. I could have probably done better if I had done it myself. He told me that they were based out of Tampa. He was a subcontractor or something like that with them. He was here locally. They tell you that they are coming but then they don't come. He started the project. He told me that it would only take a day to do it but it took a week. I had to keep calling him to come back. I got them through Angie's List. I chose them because they were from Melbourne location and it was a toll free number. I would like to grade them the lowest on everything. I would like to grade their pricing the lowest as well for the way that it was done. I will never use them again in the future. I had somebody else to come out and take care of what I needed. I will see as to how he does.

I called Handyman Connection and scheduled an appointment after seeing that they were offering a coupon on Angie's List to replace two light fixtures for $95.00.  Tony arrived on time, reviewed with me what I wanted completed, went to his truck to gather the necessary supplies and returned to start the job.  He proceeded without any problem and the result is beautiful!  

I did not realize it until after he left but he even corrected my wall switch for the fan that was previously installed in the up position for off.  We discussed it and I acknowledged the correction needed but did not ask him to do so.  While a simple fix it was the fact that he did it that impressed me. He was also neat and cleaned up after himself.  It was a good experience and I would definitely use this company again.
