Gus' Window & Door Maintenance

Arrived on time. Provided estimate and received authorization prior to beginning work. Offered a slightly less expensive alternative if I wished, but explained the result that I would experience (a clicking sound as door opened and closed). Work done professionally and with pride in what they do. Cordial and willing to answer any questions I had. I also placed an order for screens which are expected this week. Great service on our oceanfront sliding glass doors and screens. They were prompt, efficient and competent. They advised us on how to maintain our doors, inspected our windows and screens and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was in order. Really nice people too!

Excellent service provided. Called for a specific fix but had them diagnose the overall operation of the sliders in my house. They found an issue with the roller on the most used door. They quoted a price that was reasonable and fixed it right away along with doing the other repair as well.

They installed a new thermal paned window which are very hard to remove and install because they can break easily. They did an excellent job putting it in.

All work went beautifully. The two technicians were professional and focused on their work. Work was completed within estimated timeframe. After work was completed, I did find a couple of locks that did not work as they should. I called Gus' and the technician came out the very next day and made some modifications to the sliding doors that corrected the problem. Windows, doors and locks operate like new. Whle the cost was ~$2,000, replacement of the sliding doors alone would have been at least $15,000. Needless to say, repair was a better way to go than replacement. I am very pleased with both service and products.

Job was done thoroughly. When originally called, told next available appointment was in two weeks. Work was done two weeks later as estimated. Window repair personnel were prompt, courteous, and got down to business. Estimate for parts and labor was accurate. Estimate also provided for replacement of window screens. Very pleased with quality of work done.

Fine! I called them based on your recommendation. They came and looked at the situation and then went to their shop to get some prices about the new panel and everything else they'd need. Then they called me with a price and a time-line so I gave them the job. They did it, as promised.

I have used them before, and they are punctual and reasonably priced. I have always been satisfied with their work, and I appreciate the fact that they were able to refer me to someone else who could help me.

Tech was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Very reasonable, quality parts and workmanship. Guarantees work. Came back and explained the reason for the catch on the door was due to humidity and the interior parts of our doors. He used Wd40 on the upper track and they were like new! No charge. Would highly recommend them.

Called as soon as the problem was discovered and they were able to come that same afternoon. Couldn't believe how quickly he was able to fix the window/door and it looks great. You would never know there had been a problem.
We have used this company before when the balcony door was not sliding well on the track. They have done wonderful work and very reasonable prices. Will definitely use them again, if needed, and recommend them without reservation.

The service was done on the day I was told. The gentleman knew what was wrong with the doors and screeens right away and proceeded to fix the problem. Every thing was cleaned up afterward. I was a happy camper with the doors and screen door rolling quietly again.

Did a decent job at replacing the rollers, including some that you couldn't get the door off the tracks.
They did lie to me however. When I told them I was debating between repairing the doors and replacing them, they assured me that the weathered appearance of the door was not a problem - and quot;you just need to get them painted. Any painter will do that for you.and quot; After I paid them a grand to repair the doors I talked to several painters and no one would do the job. I painted them myself and now they stick badly - you cant get the doors open most of the time. I'll probably have to replace them after shelling out the money to repair them. they knew all along you cant get people to paint sliding glass door frames.

Called approx two weeks prior to his visit. They are so busy that it took a while to do the job. There was no emergency so punctuality was not an issue. We had two 20 year old windows that were problematic when opening to clean. Greg rebuilt them both and at the same time suggested ways to extend the life of the window hardware. He was friendly, arrived when he said he would, fixed the window and cleaned up after himself. We have used Gus Windows in the past and have always been pleased with the results.

Works great. The sliding doors are 39 years old with no previous maintenance.

I asked him to give me a quote on how much it would be to reframe my porch and he actually fixed a piece. He is great. He is coming after the holidays to give me a quote. Their price was very competitive. He showed up when he said he would and so I think he was punctual. He is very responsive. The quality was very good and he is a very professional man. I am going to work him after Christmas.
