I have been using Duron Smith almost 3 years. Service always very responsive and professional. One occasion my condenser fan went out on a Sunday afternoon and John came out at 9:30pm and had it up and running by 10:30pm. Recently when faced with the need to replace my HVAC I didn't even shop the price because I knew they were the best value. The unit went out Wednesday and I had an entire new unit up and running by Friday afternoon! October is hot in Florida and knowing that they had a portable delivered and installed. Our A/C blower motor went out over Labor Day weekend, so I looked at it and realized it was an Electronically Commutated Motor (High Efficiency) and it was cooked. I grabbed the model number off of it and did a little Internet search to find the price. Unfortunately, local A/C suppliers don't sell to the public, and it is a niche part. The local industrial supply house only sells to contractors, so I bid the job out over Angies List. I waited till after the holiday to avoid the "Emergency Fee". In the bid, I specifically asked for a quote to replace a blower motor and included the Carrier Part Number. Duron and Smith contacted me and said that they may be able to replace it with a non-OEM part (keep in mind the bid request had the exact part number of the blower). At no point did they mention any service fee for giving me a quote. Their technician came out and looked at the thermostat and looked at the blower and told my wife that "the fan motor is blown". Then he proceeded to give me 3 options; pay 1800 for the motor, pay 85 for the diagnosis fee, or bid to have the furnace replaced. I asked him how much they were charging me for the part and how much they were charging me for the labor, he said the part was 1400 and 400 in labor to install it. I had already done my research, and a brand new OEM replacement part was available on-line from a supplier in Indiana for $721. If I'm able to get it for $721, I'm sure that they get it from their supply house much cheaper. They had the nerve to charge me $85 for a "diagnosis" which was exactly what I put in the bid request on Angies. The $85 was never discussed online or when they called to arrange for a time to come out. It felt like less of a diagnosis and more like a sales call. I would have been willing to pay him the part cost and $400 to install (which only takes an hour as I pulled the motor before to bench test it). I don't leave bad reviews on Angies, so I rated this company a "C" because it is about average for Florida.

I met this company at the recent Home show in Melbourne. It just so happened that my business A/C went on the blitz the day before so I had them come out and service the 2 units. They were very responsive to get the service done quickly. The pricing was very competitive. The Service Tech Gregory was very conscientious in his attention to detail. I decided to have them come service my home unit as well and was very pleased with their quality of service and pricing.

They did a great job. could not have been happier with service. I would recommend and use in the future.

Charged $240 for the 30 min visit. Guy was all talk and no action. Not sure anything was actually checked. Seemed more likely wild guesses. Misdiagnosed issues, never followed up with repair or replacement quote. Hired another company that fixed unit for $150 and provided all info needed re. condition. What happened to Duron Smith AC?? They used to be the best in town. Won’t use them again.

Duron Smith recently replaced our home heater/air conditioner. They did an excellent job. We found all of their personnel to be professional, thorough, prompt and courteous, from the initial service technician, to the comfort specialist, the installers and the office staff. The installers, in particular, did an excellent job on a difficult installation of the inside unit in an upstairs closet. We were thoroughly satisfied with every interaction that we had with Duron Smith personnel and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them.

,The crew started PROMPLY at 8:AM Removed the NEW boxes of NEW EQUPMENT off the truck.Then started to remove my old equipment ETC. I have had MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE with AC installers both O.K.and GOOD. DURON SMITH CREW after THE INSTALLMRNE WAS COMPLETE I WILL RATE THE DURON AC COMPANY AS THE VERY BEST TEAM and COMPANY I HAVE HAD.,WITH AAAA RATING.  BEST PRICE and QUALITY in WORKMANSHIP . BEST OF ALL DURON SMITH DOES WHAT HE SAYS WITH HONESTY AND TRUST.

This is the second home Duron and his team has worked for us. We had a large system that had to be put in along with all duct work that had to be replaced. The guys did a great job. Our other location was a small single unit that they also did a wonderful job as well.

They came out as scheduled and resolved the issue without any problems. They got me back online.

SERVICE:
This company provides 24 hour service and I promptly received a return call in the middle of the night - which I'd not intended, but appreciated.  The service tech who phoned was very knowledgeable.  The company sent him out the next morning and he arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the issue, took pictures, described the situation.  It was very well priced service with the Angie's List discount and I was inclined to follow up with the company's sales rep for a quote on a replacement exterior a/c unit.  
SALES:
The sales rep was not available at the scheduled time and had to be rescheduled.  The rep provided me with a phone estimate the next day which was the highest of the bids I received, by far - for comparable equipment.  I had to do business elsewhere.

As usual they were prompt, professional and went above and beyond.  They always place shoe covers on their shoes before entering my home.  I have used them for a number of years and they are GREAT!  I have recommended them to everyone I work with.

After having this new AC ...... we just have to share that within this past year since the install........our electric bill has continued to surprise us in that it is continually less and less from the same time a year ago.  This past month it was $127.00 less. (And we had a party with over 30 people in this house in July........the AC kept us all cool and comfortable!)   This AC is absolutely paying for itself!
