Good movers, did a bit of damage to our refrigerator.  The person that came out to do the quote said they would be bringing two trucks and wouldn't charge additional for the 2nd truck.  They only brought out 1 truck and so it took longer that it could have to load and they were not able to get everything moved.
The crew was organized and worked hard.  I would use them again.

I was told to expect the movers between 9 -9:30. They were there right at 9. They came in, observed the apartment, got startedand did NOT stop until they were finished. They did an EXCELLENT job, will use them again in the future, and will highly recommend.

I called several places when I was looking for a mover.  I went with Mike Todisco company based on my phone conversations with them and reviews on Angie's List.  The guy I talked to? Tom, asked me several question about what we wanted moved.  The question he asked gave me the impression that they were very experienced and knew what they were doing.
I am happy to say that I was VERY impressed with the whole experience.  I have moved several times, so I am basing my opinion on other companies I have worked with.  The 4 moving guys were awesome!  They were very hard working, friendly and positive.  Even with 94 degree temperatures and 3 flights of stairs (yes, they had to move our furniture and boxes up 3 flights with no elevator), they maintained a very positive attitude.   (I did not know that was humanly possible!)
More impressive was that our final tab was significantly lower than what we expected.
My advice to anyone moving: you can keep the cost down if you are prepared.  Several years ago, a moving company gave me this advice....  use uniform sized boxes and have them sealed shut with packing tape.  This allows the mover to easily stack them on top of each other and move them quickly.  (I bought three different size moving boxes at Walmart. The movers were able to stack the same sizes together.)   Also, put heavy things in as small a box as possible.
If you are NOT completely packed BEFORE the movers come, you will be costing yourself a lot of money.  It takes movers a lot more time and work if your belongings are not ready to be put on the truck in a stackable manner.  That cost is going to get passed down to you.  The moving guys are doing grueling work and are working extremely hard.  They deserve to get paid their hourly rate whether it is packing your belongings or moving your stuff.  So save your self some money by being ready. I start packing weeks before our moving day.  Number each box.  Make a list of what is in each box.   Also I write a few of the items on the outside of each box.  That helps me find things I might need before I get completely unpacked.
My bottom line is?   highly recommend them!!

I had a short-lead-time request for my furniture-only move. Tom was my coordinator and he did a good job at the start.  He was able to get me a quote within a day (based on very specific details I emailed to him) and agree on a date that was only 6-8 days in the future.
Keep in mind that I moved cross-country a year ago and knew how to prep myself so that they could get in, get the job done, and get out.  That said, assigned to me were Jeff, Cory and Gino. Good guys. Professional. Worked VERY well together. No breaks, worked the whole time.
Although I work from home I needed to minimize vacation time off for moving.  I made the guys aware of this when they arrived and they loaded up the desk (3 pieces and heavy) into the truck last. As desired, they moved my desk up to the new place first and put it exactly where I wanted.  I was able to work while they finished everything up. I found nothing scratched or broken (although they made me aware of several things that were broken as they were packing things up).  They actually spent less time than the estimate noted.
The issue I had however is that my desk has a hutch on it with shelves. The shelves use brass 'pins' to hold them in place. Unfortunately the pins disappeared.  No problem, I will get replacements at Home Depot. I did that but the pins are too big.  No problem, I'm sure the big hardware stores have them available online.  No.... the pins evidently are a very special size.  I let Tom know about the issue and asked him to confirm where the guys put the pins (they were in a ziplock bag for sure).  The guys said they were in a drawer but I did not find them. I asked for a solution.  After several days of no response I emailed Tom and recommended that either they purchase what I needed online (I gave him a URL of what I needed) and have them shipped to me or pretend to order them (including shipping) and send me a check for that amount and I will order them online. No reponse after 4 days.  At this point I'm annoyed that the company has yet to 'make me whole'.  It's not a big deal, about $10 in materials plus shipping.  It's as if once they have your $ there is no customer service.

It went perfect.  They actually did this on a Sunday!!   The deliverer just plopped this heavy crate near my mailbox. These movers came on time and did a great job.  They were very polite and professional.
Originally I thought the price was steep but now realize how heavy it was and what it took to get to my backyard site.  It was on quick notice and done on a Sunday.  No regrets.

If you are in or near the Melbourne, FL area and need to move, Mike is the one and only one to call. He and his guys did the work I asked in the time I asked and then unloaded in less time. Very professional. Will use them again and again. I was caught in a bind when movinghelp.com did not show as promised. When I told him about our problem, he solved it with no hesitation.

ABSOLUTE PRICE GOUGING $500 - Initial Estimate $900 - Secondary Estimate $1,651 - Final Charge I provided accurate information (property total rooms, square footage, occupancy) for both estimates. The moving team was prompt, courteous and extremely professional. All of my furniture and personal effects were handled with great care. Despite the price gouging, I still tipped the team $60. PROBLEM: The owner Mike Todisco refused to stand behind the estimates that were previously provided. After explaining the situation, he BEGAN SCREAMING AND CURSING. The absolute weakest piece of this company is the owner. BE PREPARED FOR A VERBAL ALTERCATION IF YOU DON'T COMPLY WITH THE PRICE GOUGING. Moving truck also showed up 2 hours late because they could not provide valid insurance. I ended up paying them $1,000 (plus tip) for the service. Mike Todisco also threatened with a call to the police. I openly welcome any small claims court to review the e-mail trail and documentation.
Response from AAA Mike Todisco's Moving & Storage Inc

"First I would like to say that I did not know that charging for packing material and labor hours to pack was considered price gouging. [member name removed] failed to let our company know that in fact he had not prepared for his move by not packing his household goods in time for his move date. The estimate he was given was based on his word stating that everything would be all packed and ready to go on the day of his move. When "job" was confirmed by our office; via phone call the day before, it is then we learned that there will be a need for packing and packing materials. At that time [member name removed] was informed that there is a cost per box and labor time for packing and we can take care of the packing the day of the move. There was no "standing by the estimate" when it was just an ESTIMATE. This move only went above the estimate due to the packing and materials involved. As far as "threatening" anyone with law enforcement. There was no "threats" made. The law states that if payment is NOT received then we call the County's Sheriff to come and enforce what is due. [member name removed] was given a "pass" due to the fact of trying to make that customer happy. As far as the insurance goes; yes there was an issue due to the driver did not check his truck to make sure the newest insurance card was in his truck. BUT there is NO issue what so ever with our insurance and that was obviously proved by us providing the proper paperwork to enter onto base. [member name removed] took it upon himself to tell us (the company) what he was going to pay. I have never had a customer tell my company what they are paying nor have I walked into a store or company and told them I am paying what I want to. We support our military and appreciate all they do; but I did not appreciate the way [member name removed] treated our company with disrespect in what occurred during his move. I hope that he is now satisfied and will again find another mover in the future for his move. Our company strives for excellence and we make to give every customer a affordable, quality move."

It went fairly well; however, at the end they tried to charge us more than quoted.  When I told them I would pay the quoted amount the owner Mike was upset to the point of being unprofessional.  He did agree to the quoted amount in the end, but it left a bad impression.

They were fabulous. It was huge. They had 5 guys, trucks, and they just worked and worked. They were wonderful. They put down coverings on the carpets so that they didn't get footprints on them. They added more people, because they didn't think they had enough to get done in time. That was my first time using them. I would literally recommend them for any move in the area. I think they only work in the area. I absolutely recommend them all the time to people. They told me to make sure that all my valuables are taken with me, because they don't want to be responsible for it. I missed six or seven things and during that move, they actually brought them to me in their hands and handed it to me. They were that honest. I couldn't watch in every room. They were so fabulous. I can't say enough about them.

They arrived 10 minutes ahead of time. Surveyed the items to move and then got immediately to work. There were 3 men.  They worked from 8:15 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. (12 hours) including loading the truck in Vero Beach, FL. and delivering, and unloading the truck in Miami, FL.  Also included in the price was the 3 1/2 hour travel time back to Melbourne, FL.  The original plan was to unload into the ground floor only of the 2 story townhome, but we ran out of room.  They put some of the overflow items upstairs without complaint. Nothing was broken or scratched, we were very pleased with the experience.

We got lots of estimate from various movers and decided to go with Mike's due to the cost and good reviews on Angieslist.
This was a mixed experience. The movers were on time, professional looking and friendly. They had all the necessary equipment and supplies and worked diligently.
Unfortunately, while 2 of the 3 packers did a wonderful job (and were a credit to the company) one person obviously didn't care. When unpacking, we found vases thrown in with clothes (and no bubble wrap on vases), dirty dustpans tossed in with clean items (it should have at least been bagged) and untold broken objects.  It was very obvious that while 2 people were working well, one employee just did not care.
At one point, I mentioned to one of the movers that a particular item had to be boxed on its own b/c it was very fragile. I know I mentioned this at least 3 separate times to the person that packed it, as it was a valuable item to me. When unpacking, it had just been tossed in a box of fabric from the sewing room. This was a silk and bamboo kite from China and should not have been just thrown in a box with other items.  Another item was our Memorial Replica of the Twin Towers statuette. It was thrown into a box of other items, upside down, and broke apart.

This is the third time this year we've used this company, and they do a great job.  We moved from two houses into one, and they helped with the big move in January, and two smaller moves since then.  They are friendly, professional and do a great job with great care.  The only complaint I have (which others have expressed) is that with the big move, the put some liquid items in with my clothing, and some of my neatly pressed clothes they just threw in the bottom of boxes.  I said I would pay for as many wardrobes as needed (apparently they didn't bring enough).  Nothing spilled or got ruined, but there was too much potential for it to be a disaster.  If you plan to use them, box up your liquids yourself, or tell them they must box them separately.  I'm not sure why the company does this, as it seems it would cause them headaches in paying for the damages later.  Simpler to just learn to box those liquids alone.

They showed up on time and didn't hesitate to start.  They didn't damage any items.  They wrapped up all furniture with padding and shrink wrap.  They did take some time getting from one location to the next which should have only taken about 15 minutes.  So not sure if they stopped for lunch or what.  Other than that, I liked their service.

I received an estimate from their office based on my list of items to be moved. The moving men were on time and preformed the move in a professional manner. They were very helpful and took all direction I asked of them. The surprise came when it was time to pay the bill... The amount was $155 LESS than the estimate!! It was my pleasure to do business with this company.
