Space Coast Bee & Pest Service

I contacted Space Coast Bee Services Monday morning (Sep, 30), I spoke with John who was extremely knowledgeable on the subject of Bees and their activities such as swarming and nesting patterns; as well as the social structure taking place within the hive itself.  Although he was willing to come out that evening we agreed to do the job the following night (removing the hive at night ensures more of the bees will be in the hive at time of removal, leaving less stragglers to remain in the area over the next few days).  
Arriving promptly at 8:00 PM John immediately assessed the situation, briefed me on what was to take place - as well safety precautions such as; shutting outside lights off to avoid attracting bees once the hive was disturbed.  The removal process involved going into the shed at night, moving numerous obstacles from the shed floor to allow access to the planking above the hive, which he then "closed the shed doors", and utilizing smoke he began cutting out the floor area above the hive. This is the part that was particularly amazing to me; to be in a shed, full of smoke and very angry bees - in the dark! -  this is a nightmare for most people however, John was undeterred and completely calm throughout the entire process, a true professional. 
The job was completed in just over an hour; the area around the shed was cleared of all debris and everything was returned to the shed. This morning (the day after removal)  I have only found a couple of bees on the back porch, and can now let the dog roam free throughout the yard again without my concern for her getting too close to the hive. 
Space Coast Bee Services were very knowledgeable, courteous and professional throughout the entire process. Although this (bee removal) is not something most people have to deal with however, If and when you do it certainly helps hiring a company that can make it - pardon the pun - as painless as possible. Space Coast Bee Services is the company I would certainly recommend.

For many years, I had pest control done every other month with the provider coming into my home and spraying.   Three years ago, I learned through a friend about John, the owner of Space Coast Bee Service.  He provides bee service as well as pest control.  He comes inside my home once a year, and treats areas like wall outlets, switches and cabinet hinges.  He also comes several times during the year to spray around the perimeter of my home. Whatever he does it works!  I can honestly say I have not seen a bug inside my home since I hired Space Coast Bee Service.  John is extremely helpful and pleasant.  He always calls to inform me when he is coming to treat the outside of my home, and arrives at the time he says.  I am extremely pleased with the service, and have recommended John to several of my neighbors who have had the same great experience.  I highly recommend!

So he gave me a time of around 9 pm. He was off by an hour and he called to say he was running late. He arrive , I showed him the place where the bees were going into my roof. He set up a ladder and went right to work , putting a red light , then a white light and possibly a camera down into the area . After discussion , it was decided it would be good to open up a small portion of the wood to make the space more visible and accessible to the bees. He removed a small comb, and did some other things to get rid of the bees. He then replaced the wood that he had cut away and began caulking all the seams so bees could not squeeze thru and taped up some wholes until I can buy wood plugs to properly cover the taped holes. He also was knowledgable about bees . I will hire this company again if I ever see bee swarming or attempting to make my home their home.

I was very impressed with what service was provided.  He did a great job of removing the bees and hive.  What I wouldn't do is wait if you see a small bee hive.  Try to take care of it early cause I'm sure if we would have just gotten it taken care of before, we wouldn't have had as much cut out of the floor of our shed.
