Team was very professional and friendly. Every step of the process was communicated by phone, email or text. They provided us with options, pricing and were open to changes / additions. Gave us an excellent recommendation for a screen company.

Mike is an incredibly professional person who is not out to "sell" you. He listens to what you want, understands everyone wants to get the best quality for the money they will be paying, and ultimately wants you to be happy with the end product. In addition to Mike himself, Mike's team is not only amazing at what they do, but they are also some of the nicest, most friendly people I've ever met. I would seem disingenuous if I said everything was smooth as silk with absolutely no issues or concerns. I've told many people that a company's reputation should really be measured on how they do when obstacles are encountered as it truly speaks to the professionalism and abilities of the company. We had a few during this project and in each case MRP was able to find a solution that met our expectations. I would highly recommend using Mad River Pools for your upcoming pool project. You will not be disappointed.

Like any project it has it's ups and downs but Mad River Pools met every challenge and their employees were some of the best I've ever dealt with. I would give them my highest recommendation.

The job went about as smooth as a major construction project could go. Mike and his team, along with any companies he enlisted to support the project (painting, screen enclosure), were all very professional, responsive and friendly throughout the entire project. They were all very knowledgeable, and very helpful to me in that this was our first pool. I was, and continue to be, very satisfied with our new pool, and very pleased with our decision to go forward with Mike's company.

Mike was very prompt in answering his calls, emails and showing up on time. I received bids from 5 different companies and his price was one of the lowest. I felt he was abrasive with me in answering my questions though. There were a couple of different routes I could go as far as what kind of pool I could have installed. Because he does all 3 types, I wanted his opinion on them. He seemed annoyed by some of my questions and wouldn't explain why I should or shouldn't go with certain options. What's worse is that he kept changing his answers as to what I should get. I am a kind person but I almost told him to leave my home because of how he was talking to me. As the customer, it's our responsibility to ask questions to ensure we get the product we have in mind. As a business owner, it's his responsibility to answer the questions of the customer without talking down to them or treating them like they're a nuisance. I gave him my budget and the 3 things I wanted in my pool. At our consult he kept telling me no, no no, without telling me what I can cut out in order to have that. After a week of me doing more research, I asked him to send me an estimate and to include my must-have's in it. Although he sent me one within a day or two and his price was fair, I felt more comfortable going with a company who I could have an easier conversation with. It's a huge investment of your time and money and you should do business with people who you think you can work with for 2-3 months. I knew if there were any hiccups along the process, which there always are, I wouldn't have felt comfortable talking with him about it. Had he given me more information without being so confrontational, I wouldn't have hesitated to hire him.

They were easy to work with and very responsive. They were here for several days and they kept me informed along the way. I was always able to talk to the owner of the company and he responsive to my phone calls. I was totally satisfied with the work they did.

Contacted Mike by phone to install new Pacific Pool liner, He did not show up at promised time , did not call. After many e-mailsand
phone calls I finally reached him and his excuse was his truck broke down (I guess the phone did also).I should of reliized that it wa just the beginning of my problems. Many broken promises and a 1500 deposit later he said the liner was in (3 to 4 weeks), the linner was finally put in and 2 calls for repairs later I;m still waiting for him to either return my call or came over,He is not professional
I don't know how he stays in business. I joined Angie's List just to let everyone know my experience. This was to replace an existing liner. I have the emails from him. There are to many other professional out there to be treated like that. Shame on him

The crew , Jeff, Billie and Johnny were outstanding. Courteous and professional. Arrived on time or before, worked very efficient and low-key with good camaraderie. They completed everything earlier than anticipated. Owner Mike was professional and upfront on everything and stayed within the estimate. He personally came out to make sure everything was working well. We could not be happier. We now have a beautiful pool that we all enjoy!

Make sure everything is exact items and price when you get the contract. Look it over with a fine tooth comb. Careful about being told one price and when item is delivered price changes. Have it written and signed.
Mad River did a great job. The workers are professional and friendly. They let me time lapse video the pool installation. On time each morning and was continuous progress. Gave us a great surprise with an upgrade that was unexpected. Just happen to be at the right place at the right time.
They came in and measured, cleared out the grass and even helped me pull up a couple of trees they didn't need to. Dug a 6' hole and left it overnight to see if it filled up. Morning, no water, great. They brought in a large crane and dug the hole and leveled the bottom with gravel at the deep end. The pool was trucked in on a flatbed. The crane lifted it and placed it in the hole. They really wanted to make sure it was level so they lifted and leveled it 3 times to make sure it was right.
They then placed dirt around it and partially filled it. Next, installed all the plumbing and the filter. We had a salt filter system put in and lots of people recommend that. Filled the rest of the outside of the pool with dirt and the water inside. Once done, the paver guys came and did a great job preparing for and placing the pavers. When that was done, the screen guys came and constructed the screen room. We have 20/20 mesh. Great to keep most of the bugs out.
They all cleaned up after themselves every day.
So far, only had a small problem and Mike came over right away to fix it. Inspections went smoothly.
Another nice surprise, we didn't know that our pool came with a colorful underwater LED light. Love surprises and Mike seemed to have a few.
We love our pool and will recommend Mad River Pools to anyone!!!

They actually did not finish the quote. They had a landscaping person came out under that piece, and we stopped there based on I need some time. They were very thorough when they came out. They let us speak our peace. They did not try to intervene or contradict it. They let us have fun with our ideas, and then, we went from there. They took our ideas and put it in paper. I had to follow-up for them to come back for the landscape a couple of times. It is part of their whole package.

I just wanted a repair and I don't think they understood that. Their price was very high for repair works. I would use them again but not for this project.

He managed to stay within the estimate he originally gave me, despite a couple of surprises along the way. His crew was professional and courteous at all times. Michael is very experienced and innovative in providing solutions to otherwise seemingly impossible issues. I would highly recommend Mad River Pools for any type of renovation or new construction.

On Time and On Budget. Lot's of experience doing remodels really made this project a breeze. The spa project was perfectly integrated with the pool. I have not had any problems with construction or equipment.

Provided estimate quickly but there are very few companies who do these type of jobs so even though his estimate was higher than the only other company I could find, I decided to go with him as he seemed very knowledgeable and experienced (this is why I gave a B on the price as I don't have much to compare it to). Once the work began, it went fairly quickly only being delayed by rain. He also worked to get the pool in balance once filled, at his own expense as this was not in the contract and provided guidance and advice. Pool looks great.

THEY WERE GREAT BECAUSE OVERALL THE JOB WAS DONE THE WAY THEY DESCRIBED AND WANTED TO BE DONE. THERE WERE SOME ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR THINGS THAT CAME UP THAT WE WERE AWARE OF BUT COST A LITTLE MORE. EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN WHEN THEY LEFT.
