They sent out a guy first and he improperly diagnosed the problem (disconnect box.) We found out when they sent out a different guy the next day to do the repairs and he told us that basically what was supposed to be a simple $225 repair was really $1500 (replace compressor which was still under warrantee.) Summary: Improperly diagnosed and the cost was unreasonably high. They seemed to want to pinch pennies with everything, and wanted to disregard Angie's list 10% coupon and/or their own maintenance agreement program discount, which was confusing too. The first guy sold us the maintenance agreement plan as a good way to enjoy certain benefits but then the 2nd guy said it had not been explained to us correctly. In the end, we cancelled the maintenance agreement and found someone else to do the work for a whole lot less and who was much more professional and knowledgeable. In fairness, when I called to cancel the maintenance agreement, the office lady was very nice and seemed willing to try to make things right, but by then we had a bad taste in our mouth and wanted to move on. And also in all fairness, they did not charge us for either of the 2 visits because they knew we had already had a different company come out and mishandle the situation. They considered this a 2nd opinion visit with no charge.

The technician said I would need a part for $379 to get the unit to turn on. I was tired and hot from moving and agreed to pay. He replaced the part, and when I asked him to replace the filter, he said I would need to supply the filter. (It was sitting next to the unit.) I felt like I was ripped off and he didn't seem to know how to service such an old unit. It ended up blowing cold air, but only after I had asked him to look at a few different things.

We discovered a water leak on the ceiling from the air handler in the attic. I called the company that originally installed the new system in 2010. The technician found the leak, which was caused by the auxiliary drain pan overflowing. He told me the pan would need to be replaced at some point, but his main objective was to sell me a new air purifying system for the house. After the technician left, we went into the attic to look at the pan and were surprised to see that the pan was tilted downward, which would no doubt have caused it to overflow again. Therefore, I purchased an air conditioning/heating system "tune up" package for $44.95 from Ierna's on Angie's List in order to get an opinion on the condition of the pan. The technician seemed very knowledgeable and ensured me the pan needed to be sitting level. Because the pan was bent, he recommended it be replaced soon. More importantly, he informed me that the return plenum had not been installed correctly, was open on one side, and was hanging down on top of the pan. It was also smaller than it needed to be. Finally, the UV light, which was installed in the plenum, was too heavy for where it was installed. I approved for the work to be done, and two technicians completed the work the following week in a few hours. Also, instead of replacing only the UV bulb, which would have had to be special ordered, the entire UV system was replaced for the same cost. After looking at the work that was done, it appears that it was sorely needed. The only reason I gave Ierna's a B for price (which includes a "tune up" in one year) is because I did not get an additional estimate from another company, so I can only assume that it was reasonable. Hopefully the work that was done will help to reduce some respiratory problems I have been experiencing in the past several years.

Great job. Found out that the company we used before had dropped the old UV light into the air handle and hadn't bothered to get it out.

This was an active leak so we wanted it fixed quickly. Our "go to" HVAC firm was not available to come that day so we called Ierna, I asked what the cost of a service call would be and the answer was $65. No doubt I asked was the wrong question. Anyway, the technician, arrived early, understood the problem and fixed it quickly and to our complete satisfaction. But it took only about 30 minutes. We were charged $65 for the service call and $65 for labor -$130. That's about $260/hr. I understand there's travel time -but that's why we only use neighborhood firms.

ok, they were responsive, but the discharge did not stop after the technician came out a 2nd time. I had to have my son come over and clean out the clog, I will not use them again

I had bad experience with them. They just wanted to sell me a system to make my air quality better. From the moment they came here, that was their concern. That was the only thing they wanted to do. They wanted to upsell me.

I first called Ierna's Heating & Air when I realized that my upstairs A/C unit wasn't working, To my surprise, they scheduled me in three hours later. Scott, the service technician, quickly identified the problem, explained and physically showed me where the leak was. We set up an appointment for the next morning. Early the next morning another service technician arrived with all the necessary parts to complete the job. Again, Chris explained to me what he was doing and why-- in layman's terms. In just a few hours, the A/C unit was up and running smoothly! ,,, Both of these two technicians were friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Great job and thank you!

Nick did a couple service calls for us & discovered some serious issues with our existing unit. Due to the way our house was built it was going to be dicey getting a new one up in the attic. He found some options that would work, without having to cut holes in the ceiling, & presented them, via email, that night. There were even affordable, financing options available. So, we made our selection & a team was there the next day. Another Nick & Tyron were on time, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient & clean. Replacing an entire A/C unit is a bit overwhelming, but the professionals a Ierna made the process easy.

Having spoken with several people since the work was done, I believe that I was scammed. My $49.00 "Loss Leader" promotion turned into a bill for $887.50. The man with whom I initially spoke indicated that several things were wrong with my system and needed to be corrected, including a new capacitor, a compressor server, and a blower wheel. He also stated that mastic seal was needed for each of my cooling "drops". I am totally unfamiliar with cooling system terminology, and he threw all this information at me very quickly (hard sell sales approach? ). I should have gotten a second opinion, but I didn't. I trusted him because of his affiliation with Angie's List and I signed the agreement for the work. The technicians (one of whom was being trained) were neat, clean, and professional. Despite this, I would never recommend this company.

Ierna's Heating and Cooling did an amazing job. My 13 year old A/C system broke down and it was time to get a new system. Victor came out to my house the same day I called and gave me a few options which were comparable to other companies. The difference, and the reason, I choose Ierna's is their professionalism and service. The very next day Jay and Billy came out and installed my new system. They were on time and were very detail oriented. Again, their professionalism and service was top notch. They made sure to answer all of my questions and even registered the components for me. Great experience all around... would definitely hire again!

He fiddled around. Suggested that I replace the A/c. They gave a quote that was the highest. When i rejected the quote the demanded a service charge for the visit.

We have used them a several times over nearly a decade. Each time they arrived when expected and Identified the problem quickly and the repair cost seemed very reasonable. This time a snake crawled into in the AC unit and was fried (electrocuted), which shorted out the unit. They changed disconnect box to condenser and the breakers. It required a permit and cost $475.

AC kept shutting off intermittently. We called after 5:00 for emergency service and they came out same night. Gentleman who helped us was very friendly, and simply cleaned out a few pieces. Told us how we could do it ourselves in the future to prevent the issue from happening again, which as new home owners we were truly appreciative of. Very affordable and helpful.

The service was good. Everything was fine.

Zi was great... he was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. He did a thorough job and gave me a thank you card from his company (Ierna's). PS: 2 days later, I found an envelope, from Zi, in my mailbox containing my drivers license (it was probably left attached to his clipboard). Competent and honest... that's why I'll use Ierna again. It went very good, and they are a great company. They came out the same day and purchased a new one from them. They called a couple of days later to make sure everything was OK. They sent me a little gift in the mail, they were very good. They were right here. The fellow came out, showed me what was wrong, said he could fix it, and it would last a couple of months. The part was 18 years old, they gave me the Angie's List discount, and they were real nice about giving us as many discounts as they could. They installed the new unit the next day on the 17th.

The new unit was installed in early June and had to be serviced seven ( yes 7) times in less than 45 days! They ended up charging me an additional $650 to replace my duct work and copper tubing because they simply could not find the problem. Their customer service and speed at which they return calls is pathetic! The local owner even accused me of "milking the service for everything" while on the phone. It is now August and the unit is down again on a Saturday evening and they are unable to service the machine until sometime Sunday (nobody has called back to confirm) go figure. By no means would I recommend this business to anybody!

Tim came to the house and we determined it was time to replace the upstairs AC system as it had been acting up for about a week. Tim's great. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us as we tried to decide on what new system was best and most cost effective. The very next morning, Nick, Tyron and Zach arrived to do the install. They were knowledgeable, courteous, professional and did their very best to keep things clean and quiet. Despite not being ready to order an entirely new system, I am extremely pleased with everyone's work and professionalism and would recommend Ierna's to anyone who needs AC service, repair or a new install.

They finally called us after I contacted them by email. They showed up and did a fantastic job of what we purchased from them. Also, their service agent provided us with additional information we plan on following up with them. They provided a great service and we are planning on joining their preventative program.

My AC unit had stopped working and I made the call to Ierna after reading good reviews on Angie's list. They were able to make it out later the same day, quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair. In addition to all this it was raining and that didn't slow the technician down at all. I'm very impressed with this company and will definitely use them again.

I researched different companies through Angie's List. I contacted 3 companies to provide an estimate for installing a new AC system. Corey came to complete the estimate for IERNAs. He was punctual, professional, and informative. He was able to easily answer any questions I had regarding product options and installation. I choose IERNA's because in my opinion they were more thorough in their installation process, and provided more as part of their installation process in comparison to other companies. The brands each company offered were comparable. So it came down to the installation process for me and my trust in Corey. Once I made my decision I contacted Corey and he had my installation scheduled the same week. The day of the installation Jay called me that morning to notify me when they'd be arriving - as promised. Jay and Billy worked with a since of urgency, were professional, kept their work area clean, and demonstrated a strong desire to do a job well done. They were also approachable and willing to answer questions throughout the process as needed. During the installation Jay shared with me the air handler that was included in my estimate would not fit in the area where it needed to be located. So they installed an upgraded unit and did not charge me for the difference. I respect the fact that the company made it right and stuck to their estimate. That is what earns and keeps customers for life. I'm not an AC expert, but in my opinion it was quality work. I could not be more pleased with the outcome and my experience throughout the entire process was painless. I will definitely be using IERNA's for my future AC needs.

At first, I hired a company to come give me an estimate. It was going to be $600+. I thought I was getting scammed so I called Ierna's and Danny came out and fixed everything for $175. He was amazing. I will always use Ierna's now and ask for Danny!! He's a life saver!

Victor came out quickly and diagnosed the problem right away. He knew a lot about the system and also gave tips on how to keep the unit running properly. I needed additional work, which was performed quickly and now we are cool again. Thanks!
