Older system in which the handler and compressor  is working well.  Other ac companies wanted to replace the entire system with a one zone/one ac or a two zone/ two ac system at considerable cost $12K+.  Wesson agreed to replace the motherboard and associated  equipment.  Installation took less than a day.  Setting the zones correctly  took several return trips due to the complexity of the wiring system in the house and the delay in my observing the thermostat temperatures in each zone and calling in any malfunction.  Wesson was always quick to respond and correct the problem.  The system is operating A Okay and they saved me a bundle in replacing the entire unit.  An outstanding experience and an outstanding group of technicians. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

WE've used Wesson for over 25 years but the last few years were unpleasant. I felt one repairman, in particular, was padding the bill and doing unnecessary work. I tried to talk to the manager for months but he was never in and did not return my phone calls. I refused to pay a service charge until the manager would talk to me.  Although we had been their clients for an extended time with our house ,PLUS two rentals, they showed no courtesy or  bending to resolve the issue.  After 4 mths the manager finally called with an attitude and i paid the $89.00 bill. The secretaries, who used to inform us of the time the yearly maintenance needed to be scheduled, dropped calling us and when we were several days overdue, refused to schedule an appointment. I felt they were dismissive and uncaring for a client who paid big bucks for 3 houses for such a long time.

I purchased an annual maintenance agreement with Wesson Air for both my home and a rental property. They inspect and service these uits twice a year, and are available to service the units in the event of a problem. In addition, I purchased my home AC system from Wesson. Their prices seem reasonable for the goods / services provided, and they are always responsive (primarily due to the fact that I have purchsed the annual maintenance agreement).
I recommend Wesson Air.

The service call went extremely good. The technicians were professional and pleasant. They finished the service call and gave me added advice on how I could sustain the aging unit, what to expect etc. They also wrote on their invoice other services that might help.
All in all it was a good experience and I will use Wesson again and ask for the same technicians.

I contacted Wesson Air on 9/20/12 and spoke to their comfort specialist, John Bandur. An appointment was set up for the following day for John to come to my residence to gather the data for performing a and quot;Manual Jand quot;. John was very informative with respect to cooling and heating and answered my questions as to sizing a system for my home. The next day a packet was delivered by John and I also received several files via email which consisted of the results of the Manual J analysis, along with Trane product brochures for several Trane heat pump systems, and the installation costs per each of these units. There was a low to higher cost system , and I was not pressured in any way to purchase a particular model.
Upon review of this information, I decided to go with the Trane XR 13 (15 SEER) heat pump (2.5 ton unit) and variable speed air handler. I contacted John the following Monday to indicate what model of Trane heat pump that I had decided .on. I received a call back the same day from Joe Frasco, Wesson Air's production manager, so that an installation team could be put together.
On Wednesday of that week, two Wesson Air technicians, Kenny and Randy arrived to perform the un-install and installation of the new system. Due to considerable water damage caused by a rusted out evaporator tray, a new insulated box/platform had to be constructed. Kenny did most of the work in building out the box, with assistance from Randy. Randy took care of the installation of the external system (heat pump) - ran the refrigerent lines and PVC condensate line to the new Air handler platform. Kenny and Randy positioned the air handler assembly on the new platform. Kenny completed the installation of the duct work to the ceiling, and connection/brazing of the refrigerent lines and PVC conedenate piping to the air handler assembly. All the debris from the tear out and new construction was removed from the job site. I consider the installation a first class job for workmanship and appearance.
This installation started at 8:30 AM and concluded around 6:00 PM the same day. This concluded the installation process.
Kris from Wesson Air arrived the following morning to perform the final setup and charging of the system. During the setup process, Kris discovered that the air handler was not communicating with the digital thermostat inside my house. The problem was identified to be a defective air flow controller board. Kris made a trip back to Wesson Air to retrieve a replacement controller card. The setup process and charging of the system was completed without any more issues.
John Bandur came out Friday morning to perform a final inspection of the system and after receiving my approval, I signed off on the completed installation with payment by check. John walked me thru setting up the programmable thermostat per 7 day configuration and also how to enter the advanced options for this thermostat.
In closing, based on the quality of the installation, setup and the courteous attitude of all the Wesson Air personnel all through this process, I would highly recommend this company for installing a heating and cooling solution.
Also a few notable mentions:
1. The first delivered air handler that was delivered had a damaged housing, which was promptly brought to my attention by one of the Wesson Air techs, Kenny. This damaged unit was promptly replaced prior to the installation.
2. A follow-up by Alicia in customer service to keep me abreast of the progress with respect to the replacement controller board, that Kris had to retrieve from the warehouse - good customer service !
3. I was not pressured into purchasing the most expensive unit, but with the information at hand, I was able to make a good choice for my cooling and heating needs.

I did a lot of research on the Internet about what to look for when it comes to heat pumps. What I found is that a great deal of your happiness or lack thereof with an HVAC system depends on the contractor who does the installation. Are they knowledgeable? Do they take the time to do a proper sizing? Do they tell you what they're going to do and do it? Do they follow-up? etc.
The next question is, now that I know I need a good contractor, how do I find one? Armed with Angie's List, I picked 5 vendors in my area, all with A-ratings and all with Super Service Awards. After the first four vendors came to the house, I was numbed. Lots of conflicting information, different prices, different recommendations. A lot of, and quot;you don't want to use that brand because of X.and quot; No one performed a thorough manual J, which is a requirement to properly size a heat pump. Different degrees of response and service from the on-site technicians as well. One of the original 4 vendors still hasn't responded with a quote!
John Bandur of Wesson was the last vendor to come and I was not looking forward to it as I thought it would be more of the same. I was pleasantly surprised. Wesson was the only vendor to do a thorough investigation of the house - the part of the house that faces the sun, the size of the windows on the property, the duct work, the existing units, the living space, the chimney effect of the staircase. I could go on an on. John and I even had a side conversation about window replacement and he directed me to a site on the web with the research I was asking about. The next day I had a large manila envelope hand-delivered to the house with a full write-up and manual J report on my home and recommendations for both the downstairs unit as well as the upstairs. Interestingly, his report showed that my existing unit was oversized and that a smaller unit would run more efficiently. ALL the other vendors recommended I go with a larger unit than the tonnage I currently owned. Why?! Because they didn't take the time that John and Wesson did to get an accurate snapshot of what the load requirements were for the house. John also recommended I go with a model one step below the one I was thinking of purchasing because the less expensive model was better suited for hot/high humidity environments.
Armed with this, my choice was made for me - I went with Wesson.
Installation occurred over two days. The first day was actual installation of the units, including a rebuild of the platform for my air handler. They also re-insulated the piping going into the home for the unit they were NOT replacing (above and beyond). On day 2 their technician came out to perform the actual start-up and installed a new capacitor on my old system (they included this with the new system). Over the two-day period a supervisor was on-site, observing the team's work and answered any questions I might have. By the afternoon of the second day, I was enjoying a brand new, much more efficient heat pump.
I could not be more happy with the professionalism that Wesson showed throughout this entire process. I will definitely go with them when my upstairs unit eventually needs to be replaced, and will be using them for maintenance on both systems. It's so easy to be misled when it comes to buying HVAC equipment. Wesson was the only vendor that was straight with me and explained what I needed, showed me the numbers as to WHY I needed it, and then explained to me the importance of installation and their processes to ensure maximum efficiency. What more can you ask for?
Response from WESSON AIR INC.

"Thank you very much for the time and effort it took to write this very thoughtful review for both Wesson Air and your fellow Angie's List members. You took the time to learn our industry and process and were able to understand the differences in contractors. It has always been our goal to provide the best product (installation) for a good value. And we work hard at paying attention the the smallest details. Most homeowners only have to go through this process once in a lifetime and it should be right the first time. This is a product that effects your comfort and health for a long time. Thanks again and we are proud to have you as part of the Wesson Air family and will work hard to keep your trust. Mark Wesson"

In 2009, I was sold a new Amana A/C system by Del-Air (another Florida Contractor). The system never worked properly and, although Del-Air responded and replaced nearly all the innards of the system twice, it still did not cool my house. I had 2 other companies (one of which was Wesson Air) check the system and was advised by both that the system was insufficient to cool my house.I called Wesson Air after a couple of months and had them remove the old system and install a new Trane System. My wife and I both have fairly severe health problems and have to have air conditioning. Wesson Air offered to try and repair the Amana system but since I have always had confidence in the Trane brand and had no real expectation that the Amana system would work, I had the old system removed and a new one installed. The results have been extremely good. The house now cools quickly and stays at the temperature I set.
Wesson Air was very professional and offered me a choice of three different Trane System reflecting three price ranges. I was never pressured to buy the most expensive one and the benefits of each was carefully explained. The installation was great and my house and garage were left clean with no debris remaining.

I have been dealing with Wesson Air Inc. for years and they have been excellent. I really trust them. I know they have been around a while. They are licensed and they do things that should be done. For e.g. with my air conditioner, they could have told me that my air conditioner was gone and I would have invested in a new system, but they were totally honest and told me exactly what the problem was, which didn't cost me lot of money. There are very less contractors that would have that degree of honesty. They take good care of their customers. I would absolutely refer them to anybody, because I know if I refer them that they will do the job whoever calls them.

I took bids from 7 different companies, and they weren't the most competitively priced but the service was excellent. They came out to the house to look at the job, the gentleman who came out did a full inspection including crawling up into the attic to check the ducts. He was a trained engineer and did airflow calculations in each room. They did all of this without even being asked or prompted. They are head and shoulders above everyone else, and I've recommended them to friends and family.

I highly recommend Wesson. They were professional from start to finish and provided the best price. I called several companies for estimates, Wesson was the only one that recommended keeping my duct work, thereby saving me a good bit. Everybody else wanted to tear out the old vents, but John, our estimator, said to keep them, they just needed a little fixing up. It took 2 days to get the system installed. John then came on a Saturday and spent at least 3 hours personally setting up the system and balancing the output from our old vents. I can't say enough good things about this company and their people.

Wesson Air won our business in replacing our very old AC unit based on our previous experiences with the company. They helped us keep the old unit running on a few services calls, held my flabbergasted hand during the notorious "a single ant knocked the whole unit offline?!?!" incident of '06 and rectified a mistake made by one of their technicians extremely quickly, effectively and at no cost to us. That’s really all you can ask. Because of all of that they were the first folks we called with it came time to replaced the units. Their salesman spent many hours both in person and on the phone explaining various systems, making recommendations and answering slews of questions. Taking this kind of time with us along with really knowing their business is why we chose them over anyone else. We could have gotten a system cheaper somewhere else, but I really don't think it would have been worth it. These guys have earned their reputation. (Yes, the install went off without a hitch and all technicans were effective and pleasant to have in your home)

WE HAD THIS COMPANY COME TO REPAIR OUR HEAT SYSTEM 2 YEARS AGO AND WERE PLEASED WITH SERVICE AND PRICE THEN. THIS TIME THEY CAME, LIFTED A COVER AND SAID TO REPLACE COIL WOULD COST $2300, THEN CHARGED $189 JUST TO TELL US THAT. THEY WERE GONE WITHIN 15 MINUTES. WE GOT THE JOB DONE ELSEWHERE FOR $1300.
Response from WESSON AIR INC.

"IN MARCH OF 05, WE RESPONDED TO A NO-COOL CALL AND UPON ARRIVAL WE FOUND THE EQUIPMENT OUT OF REFRIGERANT. WE RECOMMENDED A LEAK SEARCH. OUR TECHNICIAN PERFORMED A COMPLETE SYSTEM LEAK SEARCH AND WAS THERE FROM 12:39 UNTIL 1:48, WHICH IS MORE THAN AN HOUR. WE FOUND MULTIPLE LEAKS IN THE EVAPORATOR COIL. WE QUOTED $1792 FOR A NEW TRANE REPLACEMENT COIL. THIS QUOTE INCLUDED PARTS, LABOR AND ADDITIONAL MATERIALS. THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CORRECT THESE ERRORS."
