"Dear Member, Our signed agreement for your new installation states very clearly where the warranty is listed that the warranty reverts to a 5-year parts warranty unless system registered by the home owner. Your invoice that you received from us upon installation for payment restates the exact same verbiage very clearly. You did have the same coil fail twice. We are not the manufacturer, we are just the installing contractor & service company. We do hate that this happens. The first coil we did replace was done under a parts warranty that you did not have. We made a mistake on warranty status, & it was not under warranty. We did not go back to you and change this pricing, & we actually lost money installing the first coil failure for you. This is why we corrected the warranty status on the second coil failure. As far as our technician informing your tenant that the system was old & needing replacement. You have every right to be upset about that, & I do apologize. We have some techs that are new to us, and they may not realize or have been told about our communication policy with tenants. Our techs are told to not communicate any issues with a tenant, & that all communication is to be only to the property owner. For this, I do apologize once again. We are very sorry about this, and will speak to the technician that this took place with. As you can see, & others can see, we make a lot of customers very happy. We do work very hard to achieve customer satisfaction on every level. We could not install a non-registered warranty coil for the labor alone price again. First time it was our mistake, & nothing was said to you. This time, we confirmed warranty status & it was out of warranty due to lack of registration on your part. Manufacturers do this, in hopes of what exactly happened. Since 2015 when this system was installed, we have enhanced our procedures internally to help customers register their equipment, to hopefully avoid this from happening to anyone. - Billy Owner/Managing Member"
