"Wow, this is the first time I have been made of aware of any dissatisfaction with this job after completion. First of all, I, Bob Shoemaker, have never met this person. Bobby Skura my salesman deals directly with clients during the process and she may have yelled at him. I was aware my guys did get caught by some rain while they were tearing off and drying in her roof to get ready for dryin inspection. No drywall came down,or water on the floor, just small water spots throughout where the water was dripping until they got the roof covered and finished the dryin. The home owner did not call us and tell us to finish the roof. Our jobs are never sitting or waiting for something. We have a clear process which we start the job, have our required deck nailing and dryin inspections, we must pass those, then we start and finish the shingles all within a 2-4 day window depending on the size of the job. I do apologize for any inconvenience that she may of had, but we have professional painters that come in and take care of issues like this at no cost to the homeowner. If she did not contact me and did not want us to take care of the ceilings at no cost to her and decides to call her insurance company there is not much I can do about that. She still has a great roof , a great warranty and we are here for her if she needs us. We do understand you can't please everybody, and there are circumstances that will cause issues, but our high ratings by the majority of our customers are the desired result we try to achieve with every customer. "[removed member name] , you were fully aware that your roof above needed to be reroofed when we did the estimate for flat porch . The roof is 17 years old . You said you would address that at another time when you could fund it . Now you try to blame us and get a free roof . I told you get another opinion and they told you the same thing . The roof above your flat is to old and needs reroofed . Sound familiar , same thing we told you before we did the flat porch roof. Simple analogy , when you go buy one tire for your car and you get a flat on one of the other 3 tires , don't blame the guy who sold you the one good tire because you didn't buy the full set . I offered to reroof the back of your house at cost and save you a lot of money , but instead you rip me on social media . My offer no longer stands , good luck with your life and your roof."
"We did the job during a very rainy week and the job went well considering . The persons that do our warranty work Gabriel & Jeff , great roofers and full time employees that only work for me and do roofing or repairs every day , and when needed they will do a warranty repair. I always give the customer their direct cell phone number to make coordinating much easier for the homeowner to meet. A skylight breaks at my expense , and at no cost to homeowner, the rain washes are marks off a covered skylight hole and my guy steps thru to the drywall and causes damage, did not get hurt and did not fall in to the house. We repaired the drywall and painted it to match as closely as we can . We can not repaint the entire homes ceiling to match a 2 foot area that will blend in and look like the rest of the ceiling in few months. I am going to have Jeff contact this homeowner to make sure he has no chimney leak , homeowner has not contacted us of any chimney issue . We honor our warranty 100% . Roofers have the highest amount of complaints of any industry , we have completed 12,000 jobs in the past 14 years with fewer than 10 complaints , I am very happy with our customer satisfaction percentage. It's unfortunate this customer had any problems . He had one very tiny leak , and a piece of ceiling that will blend in a few months, saved several thousand dollars compared to his neighbors roof cost he said. He gave us an "F" rating . So anyone that's reading this , please call us for an estimate .We will save you a lot of money , give you a great warranty, fix any problems that occur , and a 10 in 12,000 chance you might have to complain about us having to do warranty work and ceiling paint not matching exactly that we repaired under warranty . It is unfortunate he has put him self in the situation he is in , I look for the best in all people , but some one at the end of their rope will do some strange things , as is (removed member name). "This is a previous customer that never paid his bills . We have done 3 jobs for him . First job we did took him 1 year to pay us with no interest . Second job we did , he paid 95% of the invoice , my salesman would meet him every couple months for a year to collect $50 dollars at a time . Three years later he begged us to do another job and swore he had the money and would pay us in full when finished , sadly enough we did the job and the same thing , he paid us most of the money , and then tried to get us to come by and collect $50 at a time for a year . He ended up shorting us a few hundered dollars again , and did not pay his lumber bill to supplier either. I told him to pay us and the Lumber Company before we would do a job again for him ,as well as pay us upfront on any future Jobs , and he got angry ,insulting , and threatening. He is a Realtor and property manager , [Member Name Removed]."
"Coming from the lady they modeled the Grinch character from , I would consider this job a huge success. No leaks , all passed inspections the 1st time, did job during the rains we had daily for 3 weeks . She complained about to much noise ( during a reroof ? come on) , she complained about hispanic workers , and she complained about her wood work when her house was in need of entire repair. She showed us other estimates 1 to 5 thousand dollars higher , accused us of ripping her off on wood work , but yet we were still less expensive than her lowest bid without wood work they would have still had to charge her for. Should have known better than to do her job when she kicked her dog and her and her elderly parents yell at each other to communicate. Just like the movie Anger Management , but this wasn't funny."
"Our Salesman Bobby has been with us for 12 years and does not have the neatest hand writing . We did this lady sons roof with no problems a couple years ago . Rose did not want to do her roof but said her realtor is making her , so we offered her a single color shingle that our supplier was left with from an entire apartment complex cancelation . We sold all of them for them with very happy customers that saved a lot of money . We told Rose they were almost gone so if she wanted them , it was at a 1st come 1st serve basis. Probably why she thought we were pushy. She signed a contract , then the same evening faxed a cancelation of the contract . She said she wanted to wait to decide on a shingle and color. No problem. Two weeks later she called & we told her she can get whatever shingles she wants at an additional normal cost . Now she is upset , and with my experience with clients is when they are treating us poorly and mad before we start a job ( which she cancelled the contract in writing), its best not to accept that person as a client , they will never be happy no matter how inexpensive we are. Notoriously our prices are less expensive than almost all roofing companies due to our low overhead and efficient employees. We always pass on any savings to our customers and even deduct left over materials from final invoices . Rose had a very detailed estimate , which her son, a Princeton graduate, looked at and approved. Bottom line is , she really did not want to do her roof to sell her house , and after 5 trips to show her numerous choices , its our best interest not to have this lady as a client . The sad thing is she can make a complaint on my company , just for trying to help her save the most money . Good luck Rose with your roof."
