I had my pool resurfaced in April 2015.  About 14 months later I began seeing a dark spot (about 18 inches in diameter) and very evident color variations.  Blue Horizons was quick to respond when I inquired about the problem.  Without charge, they performed an acid wash to the pool.  This required about 25 gallons of muriatic acid and subsequently putting significant amounts of alkalinity to reestablish the proper pH level.  The process took over a week with daily visits to monitor and service the pool.  I am pleased with the outcome...the variations in surface color are now minor and much more acceptable.  I commend Blue Horizons for their responsiveness.  The company exemplifies honesty and integrity.  I would not hesitate to use their services in the future or recommend them to others.

Everyone was very professional and proficient at their job and we couldn't be happier with the renovation of our pool. All the different workers came when they were supposed to and were friendly and courteous. The work they did was first rate and our pool looks great. We highly recommend this company.

Within 24 hours of calling Blue Horizons Pools and Spas, Inc. to discuss my needs I heard back from the owner and we set up an appointment to meet at my home. We discussed the existing issues with my pool and he made recommendations based on my concerns and his observations. We discussed previous work that was done on my pool and he explained what he would do differently, not just for a better esthetic result, but from a functional perspective as well. 
Within a few days of viewing samples of interior pool finishes and tile pavers I was provided with a quote which I though was very reasonable. We signed an agreement and the work was scheduled. From the first day of construction until completion of the project each crew member was polite, showed a great interest in doing a good job, and cleaned up before they left for the day. I was particularly impressed with everyone's attention to detail, especially from the crew that installed the pavers.
Despite some inclement weather the project was completed within the projected time frame. Most importantly, the final product turned out nicer than we originally anticipated. From the onset we were promised high quality work and I must say that Blue Horizon has delivered on their promise.
We originally considered hiring Blue Horizon based on favorable feedback from previous customers. Hopefully my feedback will be beneficial to other perspective customers as they search for a respectable pool company.

I don't see any problems with the actual service. However, the organization seems to want to give me a hard time from the git-go. First they insisted I had to be serviced on Mondays, thereby missing many weeks due to holidays. Then the actual tech said he could only do me on Tuesdays, which I had asked for in the first place. Then instead of a door-hanger type of notification on each visit, they insisted on using a firmer card-type of document that they wanted to place in some box of the pump, which I do not want to deal with. I asked them to put it in the door. But then they expected me to be able to stick it in the door each week (from the inside?). This card is folded in half and is filled in by the tech on each visit. When I called at the end of the month after the tech pounded on my patio door this morning, the clerk said that was the only method they would use. So I terminated their services. They just seem rather disorganized and stringent in their attitudes rather than trying to accommodate a customer. Perhaps they have more than enough so one new one doesn't matter. Potential customers just need to know this in advance.

The best company we have used in years. Prompt and professional. Answered all questions. Prompt response to any concerns.
The owner came out to check on the job himself and check in with his team.

It is so refreshing to work with a company that actually does what they promise and on time. Working with the Blue Horizons staff was a wonderful experience. 
 Marty came to our home on the day and time promised and was very helpful in helping us to decide what renovations and additions were needed. 
The crew worked with us to ensure that we were satisfied with things such as placement of the pump pipes,and  location of the fountains.
They were careful to protect our landscaping and to leave the premises in a clean condition each day. I was practically  pleased with Brian. He showed up everyday on time and made sure that I understood the process. He reinstalled the chlorinator, and came back twice to check for any leaks and to make sure everything was working properly.
The office staff was a pleasure to work with. They made sure that any concerns I had where addressed promptly and were always able to answer my questions.
I have and will continue to recommend Blue Horizons.

So my pool light shorted out (for the fourth time). When I called the pool company I had been dealing with before I realized that the tech had never replaced the cord that comes with the lamp (I buy the replacement lamps through Amazon because it's cheaper and the lamp comes with a 100 ft. cord). The tech would just patch the lamp to the existing cord. This tech also had failed to diagnose a problem with the remote switch that the lamp is connected to. So they were charging me $150 for an installation that was taking him maybe 10 minutes at most. When I realized this I decided to find a new company and this is where Blue Horizons comes in.
I contacted Blue Horizons and a lot of our communication was through the messaging system here which I loved because I was able to work and still communicate with them without having to stress out about calling anyone back and forth. I explained what I needed and they promptly responded and we scheduled everything. I received a call from the tech on the day of the appointment and because I wasn't present (I left someone else in charge) the tech even called me back to explain everything that he did.
They replaced the pool light and they made a point to replace the cord. He even thanked me for keeping the water nice and warm.
They replaced the GFCI outlet for free which was amazing of them.
They diagnosed an additional problem with a remote switch that needs to be replaced and game me a quote for the price of the part and the labor. I intend to call them tomorrow or Monday to schedule that repair.
All in all I think the work they did was awesome and they were punctual and professional and very attentive. I look forward to working with them in the future for all my future pool repair needs.
