The electrician, Gilnes, was excellent. He was courteous, friendly, competent and very thorough. Gilnes listened to our concerns and did an outstanding job installing 3 fluorescent light strips. He treated our home with great care and cleaned up after himself. Gilnes displayed a strong customer satisfaction attitude and provided an overall outstanding electrical service experience. We highly recommend Gilnes for your electrical needs!

I dealt with Bernard. He fixed the wiring in my investment property. It was a mess but he was able to figure it out. He also installed recessed lighting. The whole job took 2 days and I get the price was fair. I was working with Mr. Electric prior to hiring these guys and they spent a day trying to access the situation, cut a hole in my ceiling and said they would come back when I was ready to install my lighting and finish is. They then cancelled 3 appointments the day of each appointment, wasting an excessive amount of my time. And they were paid close to $400 to do no actual work. I m relieved Bernard handled it. Totally recommend!

And the issue wasn t even what I expected him to be able to find, but he was able to assist me in solving the issue and the price was beyond reasonable. They did a fast and great job installing a ceiling fan, hard wired a chandelier , and putting up decorative hi hats! And they came on a Sunday ! Will definitely use them again.

HomeAdvisor, You must remove Bernard at United Electrical Contractors from your list of reliable electricians. He called me Wed, Sept 3, and said he would come to my townhouse on Friday, Sept 5, at 9:00 am to fix the lights in my kitchen. He was a No Show, and he wouldn't even answer any of my several phone calls. Obviously, he is not reliable and reflects badly on HomeAdvisor. In my opinion, he doesn't deserve even one star. If I don't see this review with his list of favorable reviews, then I'll know these reviews don't truly reflect all of his customers' experiences.

Punctual and professional though pricey for the amount of work done

First thing I noticed about United Electricals was their expediency and availability for hire. They called me as soon as I finished submitting for a quote and was prepared to come the same day or the next day. Their fee for installing 2 chandeliers and a porch light was a great value which I appreciated very much. The installation itself was fast though took slightly longer than they first thought. A good job done.

After searching for an electrician to repair some outlets that stopped working in our home, I received a call back within less than a minute from Bernard. He arrived at the time that we set and was able to diagnose and explain the problem and gave me a couple of options that would fix it. We agreed on the approach and the cost and the issue was fixed quickly and cleanly. His fee was very reasonable. Way to go United Electric Contractors and Home Advisor!
