They were very punctual and did the most thorough inspection. They looked both inside and outside of the house. The man that came out, Michael, was very flexible to fit my schedule. They were very courteous and professional. Personally, I thought the price was a little on the high side, but I am not sure what it WOULD cost to have this type of work done.

The representative came and measured my lawn and did an extensive sketch of my yard with recommendations. He did a great job, but his price was high for each application for the year and recommended I sign a year long contract. That's when I tried one of their competitors.

I did not choose to hire Middleton. They bought out RonFee, where I was a customer. The lawn slowly declined over several months. Just recently I've started losing huge chunks of my lawn to a fungus (at least that's their latest story on the disease). They have instructions to call us so we can open our back gate (fenced back yard with dogs), so they can service the entire yard. It took 5 attempts (shrubs) for them to get this right, with multiple no shows. They did not show up for a scheduled lawn treatment last Friday, I have no idea if they will come in Monday. I'm gone on Monday, so I guess they won't treat my back yard (but I'll pay!). They have sent a different person to treat my lawn last 3 visits. One didn't speak English well enough for me to have a conversation, another told me to water more, the third said I had a fungus, so watering was a bad idea. My lawn is toast. I will be firing them sometime within the next two weeks. As soon as I can source another company.

We contracted for lawn and tree service @ $320.00 per application. The tech only sprayed part of our lawn and none of our trees. We fired them and told them to send us a bill for the amount of wrk performed, but they are billing us for the entire amount. We spoke with Joe (sales) and Willie, the supervisor came out to our home. He was nasty and insists that we pay the entire amount. We have called the above number repeatedly and spoke with Jeff and now they are claiming they did all of the work even though we had another person at home the day this happened that saw they didnt do the work. This company is unprofessional, lying rip-off artists!

We used Ron Fee (now Middleton) for the entire 7 years we lived in our Westchase home. They started out awesome, with better than you would expect customer service. By year 7, I would categorize them as very good with as expected service. We used them to treat the lawn, shrubs, and also do once a year pest control inside the house. They were always available to come back out if we had a problem and did re-sprays with a smile and good service. The technicians were friendly and thorough. They were careful around areas with our dog or children. We did have some problems with weeds in the last year or so, but so did most of the neighbors using various companies, so Im not sure it was any fault of the treatment.

Lawn and shrub services are provided by separate workers, similar to other large companies. Amount paid is estimate of yearly service. So far I've had several shrubs die, which are supposed to be covered under warranty. Initial response from them was ''nicked by a trimmer.'' I'll be making another complaint before I pay them for their last service. Lawn looks good, but shrub service is poor so far.

Not as effective as I hoped. This is a new home, so I would expect things to be easy to control, but we're having problems. Service man also cracked a switchplate, did not offer to do anything about it. I will be making extra calls to try to resolve problems.

In late June 06 I contracted with Middleton through it's rep Joe Albino. I informed him that in the past the rear yard at times had a fungus and sod webworm problem. He said that should the problem arise in between regular treatments I should call him or the company so that the condition could be treated quickly before it spread. On 7/5 the lawn rec'd it s first regular treatment. On Tues. 7/25 I noticed several brown spot patches in the rear yard. I called Albino who said he'd be by in a day or two . He never came by. On Mon. 7/31 I again called Albino. I told him that the problem had spread through the entire rear yard . He came by this same day. On 8/2 the lawn was retreated. By then the damage had been done. Lots of dead grass. On 8/17 Middleton branch mgr. Willie Davi examined the lawn. He apologized for the lack of responsiveness in treating the problem promptly and said Middleton would replace the dead patches of grass. To date several calls to Mr. Davi have not been returned.

After we fired them, there was no follow up call to try to correct the problems and no offer to compensate us for their incompetence. I could never recommend them.

I talked to Ron Fee, he talked down to me. I knew it wasnt right, so I called back and left a message. Greg returned my call and came over. He was very nice. He will fertilize my yard after I have it cut. He gave me good advice. Greg is very nice and patient. He understands what I want.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY IS VERY POSITIVE. THEY KEEP TO A REGULAR SCHEDULE, JUST LEAVE AN INVOICE (NO PREPAY), COME BACK IF I SEE A NEED FOR FOLLOW UP, AND MY LAWN CARE PEOPLE AND NEIGHBORS COMMENT ON MY GOOD LAWN.

WORK WAS DONE 6/25/05 WITH QUARTERLY GRANULES PERIMETER TREATMENT AT NO CHARGE. IF PROBLEM WITH PESTS DEVELOPS AT ANY TIME, A PHONE CALL WILL BRING A WORKER OUT PROMPTLY. AGAIN, NO CHARGE.

THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I EXPERIENCED TRYING TO OBTAIN LAWN SPRAYING SERVICES WAS HORRIBLE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. WHEN I CALLED THE 1ST TIME, I TOLD THEM THAT TIME WAS OF THE ESSENCE BECAUSE I BELIEVED I HAD CHINCH BUGS WHO WERE MAKING A HORRIBLE MESS OF MY LAWN. I TOLD THEM THAT IF THEIR SCHEDULE WAS BACKED UP OR THEY COULD NOT GET OUT RIGHT AWAY TO PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO THAT I COULD HIRE SOMEONE ELSE WHO COULD GET OUT AND SPRAY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THEY INSISTED THEY COULD HAVE SOMEONE OUT RIGHT AWAY, SO I AGREED TO LET THEM GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE (ACTUALLY, I ASKED THEM TO COME GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND BE PREPARED TO SPRAY THE SAME DAY - BECAUSE I WAS DESPERATE) THEY HAVE JERKED ME AROUND AND HAVE WASTED NEARLY 2 WEEKS OF MY TIME, AND AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS AND NO SHOWS BY THEM - NOW THEY TELL ME THEY SUPPOSEDLY DO NOT GO SOUTH OF CENTRAL AVE. IN ST. PETERSBURG. MEANWHILE, WHAT I BELIEVE ARE CHINCHBUGS ARE CONTINUING TO FEAST ON MY LAWN. VERY BAD.

VERY HONEST. TOLD ME I WOULD BE WASTING MY MONEY IF I HAD HIM COME OUT. WILL BE HIRING HIM SOMETIME.

GOOD SERVICE. PROFESSIONAL. A BIT IRREGULAR ON THEIR SCHEDULING AS I AM NEVER ABLE TO PREDICT THE WEEK THEY WILL COME, BUT MY YARD LOOKS GREAT SO THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. WE FIRED CHEMLAWN BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT KEEP MY LAWN GREEN.

SERVICE CONSULTANT STEVE POGORZALA WAS VERY COURTEOUS. THE TECHNICIANS THAT COME OUT ARE ALWAYS POLITE AND DO A GOOD JOB. I LIKE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY TREAT YARDS, TERMITES, AND INSIDE PESTS. SOME OTHER COMPANIES SPECIALIZE IN ONLY ONE KIND OF PEST CONTROL REQUIRING THE HOMEOWNER TO DEAL WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT COMPANIES FOR DIFFERENT KINDS OF TREATMENTS SUCH AS LAWN TREATMENT OR INSIDE PESTS. I LIKE THE CONVENIENCE OF DEALING WITH ONLY ONE COMPANY AND THEY DO A GREAT JOB!

THEY HAVE BEEN DOING OUR LAWN FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. AT OUR PREVIOUS HOME IN BRANDON, THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WE HAVE SINCE MOVED TO TAMPA, WHERE NOW THE QUALITY HAS DEFINITELY DECREASED. WE STILL HAVE QUITE A FEW WEEDS THAT DO NOT APPEAR TO BE GETTING ANY BETTER. WE ARE GOING TO DISCONTINUE USING THEIR SERVICE.

KNOWLEDGEABLE SALES PERSON QUICKLY CAME TO OUR HOME AFTER WE CALLED THEM, SURVEYED OUR PROBLEM AND SPRAYED WITHIN 4 DAYS. WE SIGNED UP FOR QUARTERLY TREATMENTS, AND ARE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS OF THE APPLICATION OF THE CHEMICALS.

I WAS QUITE UPSET WITH HIS FINDINGS AND TOLD HIM I'D DISCUSS THIS WITH MY HUSBAND AND GET BACK WITH HIM. THIS SALESPERSON PHONED OR STOPPED BY MY HOME (INCLUDING A SUNDAY MORNING) ON ALMOST A DAILY BASIS FOR A WEEK WANTING TO KNOW MY DECISION AND WHEN HE COULD HAVE THE WORK STARTED. I FINALLY REVIEWED HIS PAPERWORK AND DECIDED TO GET A 2ND AND 3RD OPINION. I'VE HAD 2 OTHER COMPANIES COME OUT AND TELL ME I DO NOT HAVE A TERMITE PROBLEM AND QUOTED ME PRICES MORE THAN 1/2 OFF OF WHAT MIDDLETON DID TO TREAT MY HOME AS A PREVENTATIVE IF I SO CHOOSE. I SAY BUYER BEWARE...THIS TYPE OF SALES PRESSURE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED OR TOLERATED! SHAME ON YOU MIDDLETON!!

LIVED HERE FOR 25 YEARS AND NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO GET MY LAWN LOOKING GOOD. HE PRETTY MUCH DID IT OVERNIGHT. PEOPLE ARE PROFESSIONAL AND HAVE A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE. NOT ENOUGH GOOD I CAN SAY, THEY ARE FANTASTIC, VERY COMPETENT AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF.

THEY STARTED IN JANUARY, SO I HAVE HAD TWO TREATMENTS. JEREMY IS OUR SERVICEMAN AND HE IS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. I WAITED TO DO A REPORT, BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE HOW MY LAWN WOULD RESPOND TO GETTING TREATMENT EVERY THREE MONTHS. MY LAWN LOOKS BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE.
