A & S Appliance Repair

The entire experience was outstanding, from first contact until the job was completed.  The business owner was very professional, arrived at the scheduled time, and worked expeditiously to repair both my washer and dryer.  A & S Appliance Repair will be my go to company for any future appliance repair needs.

Noise in my dryer, he came out and diagnosed, found another problem with machine then he originally thought and had to order a part. He came back when he said he would and completed the repair quickly and for the price he quoted. I will use him again in the future.

repair man returned a week later to install the ordered part. Oven works
great, just in time for the holidays.

Avt stated Angie's List did not give him customer in to until day later - once info given responded quickly - very honest and very good evaluation as to what needed done - saved us money- professional.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out well. There were other issues that he said needed to be fixed but the refrigerator is over 10 years old so I wasn't going to put any more money in it. He did fix it but he said it would happen again.  They would need to put in a new door and I'm not going to do that. The price was reasonable. He was a young guy and he was very good.

Service punctuated by the need to order up replacement parts once problem determined.  Lost a week while waiting for parts.  Grateful that we did not loose washing machine down time.  Certainly not Art's problem.  Unavoidable.

Called my nomal service company at 8:30 on Monday am and was told they could not make it until Friday. Found A & S on Angie'e List and gave him a call. Said it would be after 6pm before he could be here and that was okay. Called in the afternoon to let me know how his schedule was going. Called again to let me know he was on the way. Knew what to do to fix the problem and the charges were quite reasonable. Was willing to work late to take care of the problem. Will definitely use him again.

We initially contacted ?A & S Appliance Repair ?on Friday Sept 27o to fix our refrigerator ice maker which wasn?t dispensing the ice cubes.  The owner ?Art Freeman? promptly called back and squeezed us in for an appointment on the upcoming Monday.  He contacted us prior to leaving for our home and promptly arrived on-time.  The repair was rather simple and he only charged us the $40 for the Angie?s Big Deal coupon cost.  We also had a problem with our clothes dryer bouncing around on the Spin Dry cycle.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and said he would need to order three ?Shock Absorbers? to fix the problem.  He contacted us yesterday informing us that the parts had arrived and set an appointment for their installation this afternoon.  Again he notified us of his leaving and arrived on-time.  This job was a lot more work but he only charged us $36 for his labor.  Prior to him leaving he had us wash several towels and asked us to call him if there was any significant shaking of the machine.  The unit ran thru the spin cycle smooth as silk.  We got too thinking and thought that Art must of under charged us for the jobs (we knew the parts alone cost approx. $150) but the total job was still only $226.  Art quickly e-mailed back and said everything was just fine.  Not too often anymore you find someone very professional, highly skilled and yet charges you basically below a fair price.  This guy is as honest as the day is long and I would hire him again in a second !!!

 They called my wife to come out. They were supposed to come out for an apt on Friday the 27 th. The time of the apt, he called my wife and had her look at the fridge to see what the problem was. He concluded via phone that it was a free on leak and that it would be too expensive to repair. He suggested that we get rid of the fridge.  I think his intentions were good however I wish he came by the house instead of diagnosing the problem over the phone.

a & s found the required part , set a install time and did the job in a timely manner.

He was very responsive and punctual. He was very kind and honest as to tell me that it would make more economic sense to replace the refrigerator, than to pay him to fix it.

Simple: water line in refrigerator not working. Simply did not think it was worth a $100 or so to fix. The owner was very nice and accommodating.

I waited three days for a call, called Angie's List and was given the co. phone number and was informed that there's a mileage charge. THAT WAS NOT ON THE SALES COUPON.

Art was great. He came out in a timely manner and was very professional. Turns out the problem was the fan and he fixed it for me. He also made me aware of some other issues that may be a problem in the future. Great guy and great service. Gabriel the assistant was a friendly fellow also. Will use in the future and I recommend them.

I called to inquire about repairing our broken ice maker on 8/19 at 3pm.  I was asked to text a picture of the broken ice maker.  I received a call back with a diagnosis that the ice maker needed replacement.  was given an approximate cost for parts and labor, I asked when the work could be performed and to my surprise the repairman said I can be there between 5-6pm, I was shocked.  The repairman was early, he was here at 4pm, it took him 10 minutes to replace the unit.  The ice maker is now working great.  Great service and customer service,  I would recommend this company to anyone in the area needing repair on home appliances.

The refrigerator is about 9 years old.  It started freezing the food and liquids in the refrigerator compartment even if I turned the temp control to lowest(warmest setting.  I called for service and Art came out first thing the next day.  Friendly, prompt, and explained all that he was doing very thoroughly.  I will definitely use him if needed in the future and refer to friends.   

My dau7ghter just purchased a home with built in appliances and an oven that was not working.   She intended to replace it, but Called A and S to see if they could repair the oven.  Art (A and S) called back promptly asking for a description of the problem she was experiencing, the model and serial number of the oven.   He was very honest and told me that her oven, although an excellent brand and model, had a control unit that burns out and that part would be over $200, plus the service call.  If that was the case, it had to be ordered.    Appreciated the information and told him to go ahead.



He made an appointment for the following day, showed up on time,  and discovered that an internal circuit breaker had opened due to improperly sitting the self-cleaning option.   He reset the control unit, checked all functions and made sure she understood how to use

 the oven and only charged for the service call, which with the Angie's List coupon was the best deal I have had in a while.

He squeezed us in the same day we called him! Made us very happy, our stuff from the freezer did not go bad, because of this wonderful man!

Arrived on time. Removed panel inside the freezer and found the drain froze over as anticipated. He thawed and removed the built up ice and then cleared the drain. He hung a small wire off defroster into the drain to prevent an ice build up as before. Very pleased
