Excellent!  Keith & Carmen arrived around 11 am, & just started doing their thing!  Keith explained about our kitchen tile that we probably should go with the color grout sealant since it hadn't been cleaned for a while for a variety of reasons.  Keith gave us a couple of discounts & explained everything completely & made sure I understood.  Keith literally got down on his hands & knees to apply the sealant to the kitchen, front entry, & the back bathroom - I was in awe.  Carmen was great - he pointed out a couple of tiny spots that he could not remove & just wanted me to be aware of it.  He also recommended a protectant & deodorizer for the carpet, which we agreed to.  The only problem was caller id in my bedroom was pulled out of the phone socket which I didn't notice until a couple of days later, but I called Stanley Steemer & Gina Angoone sent me a letter & gift certificate for our next cleaning.  It turned out we had an extra phone cord that worked with our caller id so I didn't have to go out & buy one.  I highly recommend Stanley Steemer AND Keith/Carmen.  We plan to do this again next year but I want Keith & Carmen - just hope they're available (laughing out loud)  One thing I would highly recommend - have this done in the morning since you really need to stay off the tile/carpet for the rest of the day (light walking) unless you can spend the night in a hotel or with family/friends.  I am highly satisfied!  Great job, Keith & Carmen!

I called the N. Lakeland Stanley Steamer office and spoke with, I believe, the manager and told him what I needed. He asked how many rooms for carpet cleaning and how many for tile-- 2 bedrooms, great room and two short hallways of carpet, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, entry hall and laundry room for tile cleaning. Todd gave me a quote of $512.00 and set the time of between 11:00am-2:00pm. On cleaning day, I received a call from Todd who informed me his crew was running late and would not be at my home until later. The two men arrived around 3:30pm, and one commented on being tired.
Nevertheless, the carpets were done first. When they were to start the tile, the lead man told me that my bathroom had a sitting room (I believe that's what you call it) and because it has a sliding door into shower and toilet, and yet the sink is in the and quot;sitting roomand quot; with the counter and mirrors. I have had several bathrooms set up with the sliding door. Then I was told that the laundry room wasn't included on the order. In addition, the breakfast nook had not been included in the original order. I did approve of deodorizing which I believe was $80.00. The final total cost was $712.00.
I must say, this is a small home. The areas that were added to the charge (the sitting room and breakfast nook) are much smaller than our California home The breakfast nook was most disconcerting. While they were cleaning that area, the younger man, I don't know what his purpose was) spread the tile cleaner on one side of the room only. He did not work on the left side of the area. That area ended up looking like it had never been touched.
The carpeting did not look as though it had been cleaned -- although I saw the lead man steaming it. When it was finished, traffic areas were still very obvious and some of these traffic patterns are walked on much less. The coffee table was not moved and that traffic area not cleaned (perhaps, I'm wrong here - my memory has somewhat faded). If furniture was moved, pads were not placed under the legs when returned to the original location.

I have used this Lakeland SS before; this time was very disappointing. I'm not used to criticizing. Perhaps I wouldn't be doing this review now if the company had called me and given me an explanation as to why the original quote was so far off ($200.00). I may not have had the work done at that time I also was concerned because I handed my credit card to the lead man and he had to scratch the information onto a credit card slip--I just hoped my identification hadn't been stolen. I was so surprised that he didn't have a portable charge machine like the airlines, Penny's, etc.
I have been thinking of asking Service Pro to give me an evaluation on the carpet as whether they can get it cleaner. We'll see!!!

When I scheduled this appointment, I scheduled for the carpets and the ceramic tile to be cleaned. After thinking it over, and talking to a few neighbors, I decided not to have the ceramic tile cleaned. I called back before the appointment (not sure how many days before) and told them I changed my mind about the tile, and only wanted the carpets cleaned.
On the day of the appointment, they showed up early,( I think it was an hour early) and I was not completely ready for them. I was still removing the lamps, and items from the tables, and wanted to run the sweeper in a couple of places.
Two men came to do the work, and were very polite. They cleaned the carpets and seemed to be doing a good job. When they were finished, they informed me that places, were I had used spray cleaner on spots, that those places would be white. I wish they had told me that before they cleaned, not after they were finished. Also, while I was having a conversation, with the man, who seemed to be the one in charge, I ask him for h is opinion on c leaning he ceramic tile. I wanted to know, if it would clean good enough to be worth having it done. I only wanted any professional advice that he could provide. His answer to me was,
and quot; We can not clean your tileand quot; I said what do you mean, and was told, and quot; The boss said we were not allowed to clean your tileand quot;. I said and quot;Do you mean just today, or neverand quot; he replied, and quot;I am not sure.and quot; I did not want him to clean the tile, only an opinion as to whether it could be cleaned, or a waste of time and money. I think this was very rude and a bad business practice.

This person, in my home was not rude, but the person who answers the telephone, who is the owner or manager, is very rude. This is not the first time that this person, on the phone, has been rude, to me.
The carpets were not cleaned up to the baseboard, a white residue was left all along the baseboard, and the sweeper would not remove it. I don't know if this was the cleaning solution, or what caused this, but on dark green carpet it is very noticeable. I will never have this office of Stanley Steamer, do any work for me again.

Stains returned on carpets after approximately 2 weeks. Tile and grout remain clean - better job on tile and grout than on carpets.

They did a good job. They were detailed and they showed me what they did. They took care of my furniture in a proper way. They were professional and punctual.

They did pretty good. They were friendly, prompt and professional.

The stains just come back, it doesn't permanently remove stains.

The job was good. I've used them for the last 20 years. I've tried others and they are more professional and do a better job. They are easy to schedule and will come the same day if I want. They are professional and do a great job. Sometimes they do leave a mess on the other floors and I have to wash my tile floor.
