They did an outstanding job in a short and urgent period to repair a leak in our roof.  They were very fairly priced for the extensive work that they did.  They even cleaned up after the fact. 

I selected Vic's company based on reviews he had on Angie's list and am very pleased to report that my experience with his firm echos the excellent reviews that were already posted.   Vic and his estimators made sure I understood my options for the repair, and once contracted they were very careful to not intiate work until there was a sufficent weather window that would allow them to complete the work without being impeded by rain. 
The work started and was completed within a three-day time span and I am very pleased with the outcome.
This is a gentleman who you can trust to keep your interests as a homeowner in mind as the work progresses.  A good man to work with.

They were great, meet me early evening on New Year's Eve to take a look.  Explained to me what the problem was so that I could understand that needed to be fixed.  Sent me a written quote and they came out several days later to fix my roof.  Would highly recommend V E Quillen Roofing.

Called Vic(owner) & he scheduled his son(Devon)to come out & look at my leaking concrete roof....he was very professional & straight forward about my roof issues....gave me his opinion on spending money on an old roof, etc...now, they do not install new roofs but, they still gave me the truth on what should be done!....Vic even gave me approximate estimate on a new roof...I wish I could have used their services but, will tell others about their business...Thanks again Vic & Devon.

Very happy with  them. Came to inspect right away, was very helpful and informative. We agreed to the repair when we received the quote, they did the work right away, and did exactly what they said, for exactly the price, and made other suggestions regarding the condition of our multiple roofs. A family business, and they are  a pleasure to deal with.

Vic ran a little late due to the weather; but, he called to let me know he was running late. Vic inspected the attic and the outside of the house paying very close attention to the condition of the roof. After the inspection, Vic explained what he saw and what I should keep my eye on.
If I need a repair for the roof, Vic is definitely the person I will consult. I'm so pleased to know I have an excellent source for roofing repairs and will give his name to members in my community and others.

This is the second time I have used him and been satisfied both times.

Arrived early. Explained that the issue was around the windows and not the roof. Previous owners had slapped tar around the roof when it was really the windows. Took time to explain how my roof works and how I could fix the issue. Didn't try to sell me on something I didn't need. Now they will get my business when I do need a repair.

We discovered a leak in our bedroom closet during a heavy rainstorm.  After a quick run-through of Angie's List reviews I called two vendors.  The one closest to us couldn't send anyone to evaluate our problem for five days.  The second vendor was Quillen.  Vic, the owner, answered the call and said he could have his son there by 5:30 that day.  His son arrived at 5:00, determined the leak derived from a skylight and said his father would call us with a quote that night.  Vic followed up later that evening with a call, a quote, and an email with a plan of action.  He would try to schedule us within the next few days.  The following morning he called and said he had a crew on their way.  The crew removed the roof tiles and skylight, replaced rotted wood with new wood, reset the skylight, repapered and replaced tiles.  They also replaced a rotted section of the facia and painted. They were very efficient and courteous.  Vic is extremely responsive and pleasant to deal with.  They do not install new roofs - they only do repairs.  We did not have time to get quotes from anyone else, so I don't know how their prices compare, but I would highly recommend his services. A pleasure to deal with!  A+

Vic Quillen and his team were one of the most professional roofing repair teams we've experienced. They did an amazing job and it was very nice to not experience the typical new roof up sell, as they only repair roofs.

They were incredible. Vic may be the nicest man I've ever spoken to. His son came out and did the quote and was polite, honest and very helpful. When we received our initial quote, it was to correct a leak and rotted wood over the garage. We had another contractor doing other work on the house causing us to reschedule multiple times. Vic was so patient and nice about the rescheduling.
The day of the project, the workers found that the root cause of our leak and rot was in another place on the roof. They explained to me the situation and showed me photos of the issue right then and there.
Because the additional work doubled our initial quote, Vic was exceptionally flexible with payment terms.
The workers were informative, kind and most importantly, clean.
Not only would I use them again, I hope everyone who needs roof repair will give their business to this exceptionally honest and professional company.

He had workers come in less than a week. There was also excellent follow up and the price was reasonable. The problem is completely resolved. Also, they were extremely professional and nice to work with.

The workers were courteous and cleaned up everything when leaving.  They were delayed due to rain but promptly came as promised when the weather permitted.

The roofer came out to the house to take a look at several areas of the roof I had concerns with.  Instead of taking a job and charging me he gave me some tips about how I could repair these on my own.  I was very happy with the honesty.

They came out to locate and fix the leak in my roof. I thought they were honest, reliable and showed up on time. He also went above the call of duty! I had this done several months ago and since then we've been through the rainy season and the roof has held up nicely.

It went very well. The owner Vic Quillen even came to my house to explain the work and how it was being done.
After they opened up the roof, an unexpected rainfall (downpour) started, and before they could get the plastic on to
cover the hole it rained down into my library. I was having a fit over their not getting the tarp over fast enough, telling
them the water was going thru the ceiling and all over the floor. Well, they did get it stopped quickly, and the next
thing I knew, Vic Quillen was at my door to "clean up the floor" with an apology. Well I had already cleaned up the
tile floor, and would not have had him do it if it wasn't clean, however, my concern was not the floor but a possible
stain on the ceiling. However, that did not happen.
I own a home built by Minto who does sloppy work for his roofs. There are 10 homes on my side of the street in
Olympia, and 4 of us have had problems with leaking roofs. Vic Quillen showed me pictures his people had taken to
substantiate the work he was going to do. Over my dining room, the original plywood, which is butted together in
sheets, has a water resistant covering placed over it, I'll call this tarpaper for lack of it's proper name. The problem was
the workers who installed the roof placed a row of nails in between the plywood sheets to hold down the tarpaper instead of
into the plywood. Vic said they had to know they were doing this because there was no resistance when the nails went
in, and they did it anyway. This caused the roof to leak there as the holes got bigger over time due to expansion and
contraction. The leak over the library was fixed by Minto the builder in 2009. But it was not fixed properly. It just redirected
the leak from inside the house to the outside facia board, and I never noticed it, because it was not evident when it
was raining. A friend pointed out a stain in that area to me, so I had Vic check it out. He took pictures of the beam and
plywood rot in that area which now was a major repair. Minto would do nothing about it. Vic Quillen did a fine job
repairing it, and appears to be a very conscientious man who takes great pride in the work that his men do.
I have all
the confidence in him, and would highly recommend him. In the future, if I need a new roof, I will have this man do it.
He is a rare bird  who goes the extra mile to make things extra right. Those kind of people are hard to find.

He arrived on time, was courteous and professional.  He told my husband that the repairs were not so bad and and repaired them.  When my husband asked how much for the repairs, he said there was "no charge."  If you need roof repair, this is the company to use.  How honest and gracious is that???  How many service people do you know who are as ethical as that?!!! They could have charged us a fortune but he charged us "0".  We, of course,  insisted on giving something towards the repairs.  He was well worth it!!!!!
I am so impressed with this company, I told my whole office staff yesterday, "If you need roof repairs, this is the company to use."
Now, you might have a situation where cost will be necessary--but, I can almost guarantee they will be fair and honest, and do a 
top notch job.  They even called me last night to see if I was happy with the work!  When my roof needs to be replaced, they are it!!!

I thought I needed roof repairs, they reviewed everything and determined I didn’t need work at this time.  I was pleased with their honesty and would call them in the future.  Even though they weren't going to get a job out of it, they took a good amount of time to explain their assessment with me.

Called and spoke with owner who was extremely accommodating and helpful...Had Devon come out next evening to inspect my roof for possible access points for bees which neighbor was dealing with...In addition, inspect surface tiles for damaged or loose ones...after nearly an hour, Devon mentioned there was very little wrong with the roof and any small hole he found, he filled with an adhesive...also secured any loose tiles as well...Did note one area of my roof that will eventually need repair due to its construction but said it's not necessary now...He didn't charge me for his time...when I offered to pay something he politely declined...couldn't even give the guy a bottle of Gatorade!!

I can't say enough to thank Mr. Quillen for the most reliable advise on roof evaluation on a property I was trying to buy. Not only he worked with my schedule on a very short notice, he also gave me the best advise that helped me to make the right decision. Not many people would lose business to be honest, I will definitely recommend Mr. Quillen to anyone who needs the most honest and professional roofing service.

Let me just say, OMG!  We needed our roof repaired.  I joined AngieList to make sure we didn't get some "jack-leg" this time around.  Out of our three quotes, we chose Vic Quillen because of the thoroughness of the initial inspection and quote.  He didn't just quote us a price.  They went in our attic and assessed the damage there.  (Prior to coming out, when it was just a phone conversation, Mr. Quillen was so courteous and gave us information that was vital, before he even came out.) Just a really nice guy!
When we were ready for the work to begin, the workers arrived ahead of schedule, rang the doorbell and introduced themselves to us.  They took before and after photos, and they cleaned up their work areas.
We no longer have to worry when it rains!  Our roof is "healed", thanks to Vic Quillen and his superb staff of workers!  I would recommend him to anyone!  Awesome job!
