I called Tom and he came out a few hours later. He placed a tarp on the skiilite that was leaking. He took pictures of each step and sent them to me. I do not know many companies that are so on top of their work. I will continue to use this company for all of my rentals and permeant residence. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Garabar delivered great service. The contractors who worked on my balcony were reassuring and and knowledgeable about the entire project and were flexible when scheduling the work. They took the struggle that usually accompanies trying to find a honest company and good price. Of all the companies I had survey the damage, Garabar was the most affordable. I am very happy with the service I received and would recommend to anyone who needs anything fixed.

My 30 year old roof had major integrity problems. When the summer rains came the roof began to fail and I was faced with a crisis situations. There were major leaks in multiple areas of the home. While other contractors could not even give me a start date, Garabar made extraordinary efforts to begin the work expeditiously. Garabar obtained the necessary County and Building Department approvals on an expedited basis and began work within days of signing the contract. When they began work, it was an impressive show. They came with a convoy of trucks and a large crew. I was impressed with their great caution and skill during the tear down phase of the work. They protected the driveway and garage door with appropriate materials. They also protected the air conditioner and plants near the house. Garabar used dump trucks to haul away the old roofing material rather than leaving a dumpster in the driveway. By the end of the first day, the tear down of the roof was complete. It was amazing to see such an organized crew. Each man worked hard and appeared to be totally synchronized with his co-workers. It was like a watching a ballet of roofing. Not a drop of debris was left behind and they cleaned up with great alacrity and efficiency. During the teardown phase Garabar replaced a substantial amount of plywood to fix damaged areas. Neighbors who had used other contractors commented to me on how efficient they were. Garabar also replaced damaged fascia and used 30 pound paper to seal the roof with silver dollar sized nails. Even to my layman's eyes it was clear that the application of the initial underlayment was done with great care and precision. Next Garabar applied a Secondary Water Barrier (SWB) and not a moment too soon. We were deluged with downpours soon after it was applied. With that barrier on, not a drop of water leaked into the house. The (SWB) was properly and professionally applied. While hot mopping may cover up mistakes of a less skilled crew ? there were no mistakes with Garabar. Finally Entegra tiles were foamed onto the roof. Once again I received compliments from neighbors and development maintenance staff on how well the tiles were applied. The work was professional and top grade. Garabar even went so far as to fix a damaged area of my neighbor?s roof at no extra charge. Very impressive. I would certainly recommend Garabar to anyone considering a roof repair or re-roof. Judging by the comments from my neighbors ? they too are also sold on Garabar. Quality speaks for itself.

it went very well. They started on time and finished in 5 days ad per their schedule. The workers, sometimes 10 on the roof at time each knew their job and just did it. They worked from 8 am to 6:30 pm each day with a half hour for lunch. Afterwards, the yard area was cleaned as though no one had been at our home. Garabar did an excellent job and while they were probably not the cheapest I'm confident they were the best. I must admit they are probably the most professional and competent contractor I have ever dealt with as they delivered on all that was promised. I highly recommend Garabar ..my new roof looks great

Garabar Roofing exceeded our expectations! Selecting a roofer is something my husband and I were determined to not settle on. We wanted someone who we would feel comfortable working with and that would give us premium product and service. We found that with Garabar. The owner, AJ, met with us in our home and guided us through the process and was always available when we had questions. During the roof installation, the crew was efficient and clean. They protected our home, lawn, sidewalks and driveway and cleaned up each day. Their craftsmanship was amazing. Our neighbors even stopped by to comment on it. We highly recommend Garabar Roofing!

We decided to replace our roof after noticing a leak in our master bath. Garabar was working in our neighborhood replacing other roofs. We contacted some of the people that had used them and they came highly recommended. We contacted Garabar and they sent their superintendent, John Pickerell, and he reviewed the total process with us in great detail including the contract, pricing, scheduling, safety precautions, warranties and guarantees, etc. He also took on the responsibility for the HOA and city approval and permitting process. He was very professional and did not pressure us at all in making our decision. We had other bids, one which was a little lower, but decided on Garabar because we thought the were the most professional and best qualified. The project went exactly as scheduled except for one day due to rain. They protected our property very well and cleaned up every day after work was completed. Mr. Pickerell was on site every day ensuring that the project was being done correctly. He always checked in with us to see if we had any concerns and that we were pleased with the process and progress. They guaranteed the roof for 10 years. We have been very pleased with the end results and would and have recommend them highly to others. After our roof was completed, our next door neighbor contracted with Garabar to do their roof after seeing how professional they conducted themselves.

From start to finish, all was excellent. Tony came out to do the estimate. He explained their procedures for inspecting, quoting and repairing. He was by far the most polite and down to earth contractor we have had visit our home in many many years. After completely explaining their repair procedure, he then told us about the other important details that they look at and repair while on our roof. They inspect, clean and seal any and all penetrations through the roof ensuring that there will be no leaks. Throughout the entire procedure they take pictures for documentation. After all work was completed, they followed up to be sure all was good. Garabar will be my choice for roof repairs and replacement when needed.

I would like to commend them for their excellent work. This company showed up each day on time, kept a clean job until completion Job was finished on schedule, which is rare these days and I was very pleased. I recommend the Garabar Roofing Company to anyone who needs their roof replaced or roof repair done.

Very well. Of course we did not get on the roof to check but we have not had any leaks since. We saw the material coming in and being put on the roof (e.g., tiles). The workers worked throughout the days they were on site. We did not have to wait months for the service nor did we have to engage in any follow-up calls. We have used them before and will definitely use them again. Our address is Albans Drive not Alvans Drive.

Jack spotted some roof damaged missed by the home inspection people. Was very greatful to have caught the water damage before it got worse. Roof was repaired and pressure cleaned to my satisfaction.

(7/31 -- this post includes both the original information and the subsequent update to show the resolution of the problem) At first, it was great. (This is being written by Delores Moore, Matt's wife. This is our joint Angie's List acct) I had worked with Garabar while I was in the mortgage industry. They had done work for a few of my clients and I was impressed. I even went to far as to have them approved to do renovations for our clients under our renovation financing program. So when it came time to have our own roof replaced, I was insistent on using them. Our jobs take us out of the country a lot, and I knew we would have to be away at that time, so I wanted someone I THOUGHT I could trust. They did a great job at first. AT FIRST. But part of the deal was that they were to have painted any wood that the replaced. They didn't, they only primed it. Additionally, under Florida insurance regulations, I am unable to fulfill the requirements of my insurance carrier if the roofing company doesn't provide them with a Wind Mitigation report. Well, Garabar got 100% of their payment, and the stopped returning calls. They didn't provide the Wind Mit form to my insurance agent, they won't return calls. And my insurance agent -- a definite pit bull -- has been (in her words) and quot;riding them like a show ponyand quot;. Still they won't respond. Chris Moore, the person who owns the house with us, also can't get them to respond to his calls. Now, we are in danger of losing our homeowner's insurance because of their lack of responsiveness and complete lack of professionalism. My agent explained all this to the insurance company and asked their permission to use a different inspector for the Wind Mitigation Report. However, the insurance company said Garabar **MUST** be the ones to complete the form because they are the only ones who can attest to exactly what work was done by them, and how, and when. So, we are at their mercy. We are out of the country for at least another 2 months (our jobs). Chris Moore, the other owner of the property, has been trying to get them, but they will not respond to him either. Additionally, as part of the contract, they were to have painted the wood that they had to replace. They did not. They only primed it. Now, in fairness, they went over their own budget on this job, but it is their own fault. One of their workers fell through the ceiling in the bathroom and the repair was totally on them because they caused the damage. The repair was done very well. But -- that is no reason for them to do that they are now doing. I can't get homeowner's insurance renewed (or get any coverage at all!!!) without this form, and they are the only ones the insurance company will accept doing it. Florida insurance companies are brutal and look for any reason to cancel coverage. I'm between a rock and a hard spot because Garabar is not doing something very simple. If they are this horrid on a small job and over a simple form that they must routinely complete as a part of doing business, then just how bad do you think they will be on a big job? 7/31 update -- I have to give credit where credit is due. AJ, the owner of Garabar, Inc. Roofing, stepped up and went out of his way to make right the wrong things with our roof, so much more than I was expecting, given the way his office and employees had acted. He got the wind mitigation report done, he had the painting completed, and dealt with the 2 employees who had lied on the paperwork stating that all was complete and the job was ready to be closed out. And he did it fast. Most importantly, he didn't blow it off or try to just throw a bandaid on it. He made it RIGHT. That says a lot for him . Bravo!!! Delores Moore Prichard

Garabar. Inc. was one of three quotes I solicited on replacing my homes roof. Although Garabar's quote was not the lowest I chose this company because a couple other homeowners in my community had their roof's replaced by this company and were pleased with the results. A neighbor had his roof replaced by one of the lower quote providers and was not pleased with the service response he received during and after the installation. Garabar met or exceeded my expectations. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I am somewhat of a handyman so I kept a close eye on the total process to the extent of getting up on the roof after the workers left each evening to inspect the progress. The owner A.J Garabar was very responsive to any calls or inquiries I made to him. His workers were very responsive and courteous. My wife is kind of clean freak, she was impressed with the way the workers left the work area when they were through for the day. When the job was complete there were a few minor issues concerning minor painting and clean-up etc. that were addressed immediately upon contacting Mr. Garabar. I agreed to the estimate and gave John a down payment of $900. I got to thinking about it later and called him back. I asked how many recent roof repairs he had done on roofs similar to my own. I asked him to provide some additional references, which he did not produce. I said that I was going to call the owner of the company to ask for references. He said that he would meet me at the house in 20 minutes. When he met me, he ripped up our contract and returned the check I had given him for a down payment, and decided not to work together. I might contact the company again, but I would not want to work with John again.

Knowing others who have had long, drawn out roofing ordeals, I wasn't looking forward to the process when we needed a re-roof. I couldn't have been more surprised by my experience with Garabar. From the personal, yet professional way the company started the process, to the explanation of what I could expect all the way through to the clean up, I am amazed how painless the experience was. My husband was very ill during the time the work was done and the project manager was considerate and respectful of our needs and schedule. I was considering a more expensive roof because I liked the look of the particular material, and the Garabar manager walked me through my options and actually explained why a less costly material was ideal for my type of roof and my home. As people with no construction experience or know-how (and a person who asks a lot of questions!), I sincerely appreciated being treated as a homeowner and not a number or nuisance. The office is very busy but I actually spoke with the owner a few times during the process. If I ever needed another roof, and I hope I never do, I'd definitely use them again. Thanks.

Overall, I had a very good experience with Garabar, Inc, which is why I chose to write a report about them. They are very professional beginning with their office staff all the way to their field staff. If I had any concerns, the field supervisor was immediately taking care of it and re-assuring me throughout the way. I did not have to pay the final balance until I was completely satisfied with the work which I thought was a great idea.

I have recently had a new roof installed by Garabar, Inc. I found them very professional. They were completely honest in their estimate and there were no hidden charges or shady work. They completed the work on time and on estimate. I can recommend them highly.
