Great Company ~ Grant said the pool would be done in a week and it was done in a week. The workers were meticulous with the close work and they cleaned up the yard before they left.

3 Anchor Bay Pools did a great job resurfacing our 35-year-old pool. Grant Duncan has over three decades of experience in the pool business. His knowledge and expertise will help you make the best choices in designing your pool make over.
Grant did an inspection on our pool and provided a quote the same day.
Work was started within a week. 3 Anchor Bay Pools coordinated with the contractor we selected to install pavers on our pool?s deck to make the paving and resurfacing of the pool a seamless job.
3 Anchor Bay?s crews performed an amazing transformation on a pool that was showing its age. They arrived on time and worked through the coldest days of January 2025. Their workmanship was exceptional. They kept the job site clean with no disruption to our home. From the signing of the contract to completion was 2 weeks. Part of that was waiting for the pavers to do their part. This company and their employees are amazing.

demo crew left concrete and garbage bags full of plaster on my property and did not clean up and take away debris. I called Grant he apologized and said he would have them pick up the trash since it would be a week before plaster crew would start, this never happened no big deal but a poor way to start a job. Plaster crew seemed to do a good job and cleaned up after resurfacing was complete. Days later found they had dug up pavers behind our shed to burry chunks of leftover concrete they didn't want to haul off. In this process they also damaged one of the filter pipes they bumped and days later it split and burst and had to be totally re-pipped. To this day I am still finding chunks of plaster buried around my property in the front yard back yard etc. Initially the pool was filled and looked great, tech came out to add chemicals to the pool and a week later I noticed white staining, I followed the instructions to the letter of keeping ph @7.2 (checked daily) and brushing weekly for two weeks, the pool ran 24-7 for the first week as instructed, then 8 hrs per day. Called Grant yet again, he told me this was normal chalking and would go away. 30 days later I noticed cracking looking lines in the pool surface, again called Grant and was told this was also normal during curing and would go away in a few months. I also did as instructed and had a complete water test done, and forwarded results to Grant, no response. once the cold season set in and we were not using the pool I tried contacting Grant and Jim several times and got no response. Finally, months later they came out to have a look, took a water sample and haven't heard or seen them since, finally got a hold of Grant who told me he would have his guy call me, never happened and he now is insinuating that its prob metal staining and it my fault, so I have a pool with white spot staining and streaks on the bottom as well as spider cracking on the entire surface, I am no idiot and it seem like This is caused by improper plastering practices where the plaster is improperly mixed and weak, porous areas will develop. These small spots are prone to shrinkage, micro-cracking and discoloration that are the clear and unmistakable. As I read some other reviews, and this looks to be a problem for 3 Anchor Bay Pools and they do not want to stand behind their work and written warranty. I have documented texts phots sent and phone calls with Grant to verify my dissatisfaction. None of the problems Grant said would go away, ever did. I am not confident that 3 Anchor Bay Pools will correct this at this point. I would like some sort of compensation to have it repaired by a reputable company.

We hired this "Pro" to get our pool and deck done before our family arrived for our wedding, and were assured multiple times it could be done in time. So we signed on Mar 8, and the wedding was on Apr 20. Well, nothing was done in time and we had to rent a venue for our guests. First we were told that the tiles weren't even ordered until the pool was drained, which sounds like a complete waste of time. Then were told it was due to "weather" which we haven't had rain in our area the entire duration. Eventually the job got completed (late), and we are very unhappy with the placement of the tiles on the steps, and there are stain splashes on the new deck. We were told that 'we' must have splashed chemicals. The only person that poured chemicals on that side of the pool was the guy they sent to start the pool up. We diligently pour our chemicals directly into the skimmer (where there are NO stains). BASICALLY: Closely monitor the work being done and don't expect timelines to be met.

Grant and his crew did a great job resurfacing my pool, and fixing my pool deck. They lifted the deck up and made it even with the rest of the deck. And we paved the top and painted. I love the new tiles in my pool. I would recommend them.

RUN -- in Dec 21 we hired 3 Anchor Bay to resurface our pool, install a new heater, replace our pool lights, and fix the in-floor cleaning system (which they did NOT. I ended up needing to hire/pay someone else to actually get it fixed). The owner Grant talked us into getting a special deep blue surface that we paid an additional $5-6k for but when it was installed there were streaks and blotches. At the time of installation, Grant saw the streaks and blotches and said they would go away as they cured as long as we brush the surface. Grant came himself and brushed the pool once (others from 3 Anchor also came and brushed ) as did I. Every single day for months. We have a pool service and I tested the pool myself every day or so and the PH was never above 7.2. Grant said on several occasions that I needed to wait at least 3 months for the surfaces to finish curing and that if they were still there after 3 months THEN and ONLY then will he address it.. The streaks NEVER changed. I have reached out to Grant several times. I was able to get him to call me back by calling from a phone number he did not recognize so he actually spoke to me. Well really more yelled and called a liar before he hung up on me. He will not answer again now. He is yelled at me several times, which is really weird considering I paid him. We have contacted other pool companies and they say it should NOT look like that and that it was NOT installed properly. Despite what other pool professionals tell him he denies anything is his responsibility. THIS HAS BEEN A ISSUE SINCE THE DAY IT WAS INSTALLED.

3 Anchor destroyed some of our property during the resurfacing project. They refused to pay for the items destroyed despite our proving the damage and providing receipts. Grant Duncan, the owner, is a very poor communicator, indicating the project would be completed in a few days, but it took over 3 weeks. He was often belligerent in his communication when simply asking for clarity on the scheduling. None of the workers spoke English even though Mr. Duncan claimed that there would always be a supervisor who spoke English. Also, the business is NOT located in Lake Mary. The actual address is 3 ANCHOR BAY POOLS, LLC 2149 LAKE DEBRA DRIVE, SUITE 934 | ORLANDO, FL 32835. The Lake Mary address appears to be a relative of the owner.

During the week of August 25, 2020, the pool at our residence was resurfaced by 3 Anchor Bay, Inc. Our pool was over 40 years old and had never been resurfaced. It looks totally amazing! Grant Duncan, the owner of the company, brought all samples to our home and assisted us in choosing the materials and colors. We were impressed that we were not pressured during the entire process. The crew that resurfaced the pool were punctual and cleaned the area when the job was completed. We would highly recommend this company and, in fact, we have already recommended them to our friends.

In July 2015 I hired 3AB to resurface my pool. The warranty for materials and workmanship is lifetime. In the spring of 2016 I was having a problem so I called 3AB. Mr. Duncan answered the phone, I told him of my concerns, he than called me a moron and to never call again. In Feb. 2017 I filed in small claims court. I was not successful. But that did not void my warranty for future problems. And thats where we are now. The tiles around the pool are coming loose, which is causing the pool to leak. I called 3AB, sent email to 3AB,and sent a letter, return receipt requested, in Oct. 2019 explaining the problem. To this day no one has contacted me.

Grant Duncan runs a great company. He is always available to answer any questions. We had our pool resurfaced, new tile, new drainage channels and the deck resurfaced. Grant brought samples and made the whole process easy. The workers were prompt and did an outstanding job. We love the new look of our pool. Our pool looks like a brand new pool rather than just a remodeled pool. We highly recommend 3 Anchor Bay pools to anyone. The whole process was completed in less than two weeks. They weren t the cheapest estimate we had but we are more than pleased with the outcome for the money we spent.

3 Anchor Bay did the surface and tile on my rental home and my vacation rental. Both pools now look amazing and where completed well within the time I had allotted for the work. The entire process was super easy. Grant brought all the tile and pool colors with to are house so we wouldn't have to make trips to tile stores etc. All of our many questions were answered and we were not pressured to purchase unnecessary extras that others had tried to sell us. The warranty was the longest of all the many companies we had bid the job and the price was right in the middle of the range. All the crews where well mannered and very well coordinated. The areas were kept clean and tidy during work. And when the pools were done, no carbage was left anywhere and the only evidence that they had been there was two beautifull pools. We are elated with the quality of both jobs and i have already recommended 3 Anchor bay to 2 of my friends and recommend them to anyone who has a pool. Thanks Grant!

A grant from 3 Anchor Bay initially seemed competent, friendly and knew his way around pool materials. Unfortunately, Grant favorable traits did not last long. Contracts were signed on February 3, 2020. We were told work would begin that week. It began on February 11th. Issues with the completion of the pool include:- pool surface has abrasions and deck paint stains- far-right pool step is jagged rather than rounded off. - tile grout is inconsistent and where the tile meets the pool surface is finished poorly.- Cement debris was left in the floor drain and skimmer basket. - Concrete work was never finished on the sidewalls of the skimmer and paint from the deck finish dripped into the skimmer- The pool jets were installed incorrectly. - The surface surrounding the pool jets is finished poorly. A- A piece of cement was left inside one of the pools jet nozzles. I withheld $175 of the final payment to be issued upon issues being completed. As of March 29, the debris on the floor of the pool was cleaned, pool jets were reinstalled, but the piece of cement in one of the jets was left in and removed by myself. The cement issue and paint drips are still present. The free month of service was to include maintaining the pool chemicals, cleaning the wall surfaces once a week, and cleaning the filter. The pool chemicals were maintained, but the walls were only cleaned once after three attempts at notifying Grant that this was not done. Paint stains from the patio resurfacing are still present on the pool floor. The pool filter was impacted with construction debris from the pool and was never looked at by the Grant maintenance team. It was cleaned by myself on March 25. Grant reasoning for the filter not being clean was that his company does not maintenance salt pools. On Thursday, March 19, Grant was contacted about an issue with the pool tiles. Many of them began showing cracks and signs of splitting. Grant response to this was that tile was not covered under warranty, no pool company warrantees tiles, and that he has not had a tile crack on a pool in 30 years. He assured me that the tile could be acid washed. My son sent him pictures because he did not believe this to be true. Grant did not respond to the picture texts. After a second phone call, he stated he would come within a day and that no one had to be home when this occurred. On Monday, March 23 Grant was contacted by my son. He angrily said that no one needed to be home for this work to occur and that if I came out and harassed his worker they would not fix the tile. My son calmly said that he gave a time frame for the worker to show up regardless and was checking in on this because the time frame was not met. Grant hung up the phone before he could finish that sentence. The warranty makes no statement about the exclusion of tiles and only says that minor surface cracks are not covered. Trevor, the service worker, came to inspect and photograph the tile later that day. Grant called my son back soon after to say that five tiles were cracked and that others had hairline fractures. He said that this caused by the expansion of the concrete and a design flaw of the pool, but he would replace these tiles regardless of warranty as long as our remaining balance was paid off. Trevor returned to collect the remaining $175 and tagged 12 tiles for replacement. No mention of a pool defect was ever disclosed while the pool was being worked on. On April 8, contractors from Serrano Pool Plastering came to replace the tile. They counted 35 tiles broken, but Grant only said to replace 5. I called Grant and he insisted that only 5 were to be replaced and that is the number Trevor gave us. He did not back down, so I instructed him to remove the works and that I would be pursuing legal action. It is evident that 3 Anchor Bay lacks quality customer service, communication skills, and any.
