At first they were great. However over time it's gotten worse. Most recent blood panel for elderly dog cost $40 more than local vet. We have four dogs and recently split 2 at one and 2 at another to compare service and cost apples to apples. By far they were more expensive and not better care. Recently tried to order medications for flea/tick online and they want $11 per prescription for outside. I'm sorry but that's it. All four of my dogs and three cats will no longer be going to a money hungry vet. No more vaccinations, rentals, or anything now and will completely tell everyone else how they care more about money than your pets. Last call about my Mandy Vet left message about another dogs issues not mine which completely freaked me out!!! How can they have no idea who they are calling before leaving personal medical info on wrong voicemail.

This was my first experience with Caring Hands and I was very pleased, enough that I plan to move my other cat's care here when she is due for her checkup and shots. I called on the phone to make an appointment and the staff were friendly, engaging, and seemed genuinely interested in helping this little kitten get better. The appointment was set for the next day. We didn't wait long in the lobby and the atmosphere was bright and cheery but also calm and quiet. While I waited for the vet, a tech came in to check the kitten's vitals and she was very gentle and calm with the kitten. This kitten was terrified of human beings but she cooperated fully with the whole team at Caring Hands throughout her whole exam. They were all gentle and seemed to set the kitten at ease. When I got home, the kitten was visibly improved (deworming is amazing) and her attitude was better too. She got into my lap and started kneading/purring. She didn't seem to mind the poking and prodding she had just received at Caring Hands. The place is aptly named. They really do care, and it showed in the way they handled my kitten. I would recommend them to anyone with a cat or kitten who has anxiety issues. (I'm sure they are great with dogs too, but I don't have a dog so I am only speaking from my own experience.)

Being new to the area, my husband and I were very apprehensive about choosing a veterinarian in our new surroundings. We turned to Angie's list (again), and Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Lake City, Florida won our approval for a visit. One of our cats had what appeared to be an upper respiratory infection, so I called Caring Hands for an appointment. Right from my first contact with them in setting up the appointment I was greeted over the phone with courtesy and professionalism. They gave me an appointment for the very next day ( I replied it wasn't an emergency, so I didn't have a need for an emergency appt.). Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and check-in was quick and painless. There were a couple forms to fill out but nothing in excess. We were greeted by a vet tech while sitting in the waiting room who stated that they were just finishing cleaning an exam room and then would take us right in. Our entire wait from walking in the door to get into the exam room was 5 minutes. Once in the room, the vet tech (Angela) took our cat's history and within minutes Dr. Marie Leslie walked in, acknowledging us with a big smile and immediately picked up our cat and starting talking to her. She made all of us, including our cat, feel very comfortable in our strange environment. It was also very apparent that she was quite knowledgeable and very comfortable with us. It has been 3 weeks since our visit with her and her treatment and recommendations for home care were right on target. Our cat has been healthy ever since. I have had cats for the last 50 years and I am convinced that I have found the best veterinarian on the planet! Her hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association and also holds the accreditation of being a Cat Friendly Practice. That was quite obvious as my cat started walking on her keyboard in the exam room and Dr. Leslie couldn't care less. I ran to get my cat off her keyboard and Dr. Leslie told me not to worry about it because the keyboard was locked, a requirement to acquire the Cat Friendly Practice accreditation. This veterinarian practice is 40 minutes from my home and there are two other vets that are within 5 minutes from my house, but the reviews were so so or not good. The reviews for Caring Hands were very good, so I chose Caring Hands and I will continue to go there.
My experience was superb and I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. Kudos to Angela, the vet tech who helped us. She was so good with our cat too. Our overall experience was also influenced by her. I hope we have her again and again and again. I felt that the price and everything we got for it was fair and competitive.

This office is always clean. The staff is friendly and professional. I will not take my pets anywhere else! A little bit pricey, but it's worth it to know that my dog is in good hands. They are the best!

At 4:30 in the afternoon, I called our Vet because our dog was experiencing some difficulty breathing and was drooling excessively. I was told by the receptionist that the vet wouldn't see our dog because it would take too long and he was ready to close --and that he wouldn't stay past 5 for anyone---(we have been using this vet for the last 6 years) . I told her that I was so worried about the dog and could he please see us...she told me in a hushed voice that if it were her, she would call Caring Hands. I called them, gave them the symptoms--I let them know that our vet wouldn't see us. Their receptionist told me that Dr. Leslie would be happy to see our dog and to come right in. It turned out the he had been poisoned and would have died had he not been treated. Dr. Leslie and her staff stayed well past business hours to treat our dog. They were compassionate and caring and I am so grateful that they willing to go the extra mile for us. I will NEVER return to our previous vet and we are now very happy and satisfied patients at Caring Hands.

I have been to many vets over the years, and Dr Leslie at Caring Hands is one of only 2 that I would recommend to people (the other is semi-retired).
My dog had skin problems all of her life, and had seen 5 other vets, none of whom had much success treating her. Dr Leslie figured out the problem on our first visit 6 months ago, and made her life much more comfortable. Unfortunately, kidney problems forced me to say goodbye to my beloved dog last Friday, and the people at Caring Hands were great and made the very difficult experience a little easier for me.
I'm very happy to have found a vet that I trust, and I'd highly recommend them. The one minor negative I would say is that there is not much room outside to walk your dog before you go inside, but thats the price of being in central location.
