I provided Unlimited Design with complete, detailed, computer generated drawings of the curtains needed for my game room, with all dimensions and concerns clearly indicated. I also provided curtain material, lining material, and a curtain rod to check fit of rod pocket on the curtains. I was very concerned about rod pocket fit, I clearly indicated this on the drawing, and I made sure I gave them the larger rod that slides onto and over the smaller rod section. I agreed to have the job done at a reasonable price, and things proceeded very smoothly on schedule through out the course of the project. The fun began when I went to pick up my curtains. When I got there for pick up the rod section I provided was nowhere to be found. Several people looked high and low to find it, but it was simply not to be found. I really wanted the rod section so I didn't have to go and buy another rod, and I also wanted to check rod fit in the curtain pocket. Unlimited Design was very nice and paid me for a new curtain rod, but I had to run to a few stores before I could find the particular rod I needed. Anyway, I got home only to find the curtain rod would not fit the rod pocket which was way too small to accept the rod. I ended up buying more expensive round shaft curtain rods which gave me a very different look than the wide flat rod I planned to use. All in all the curtains look very nice and the workmanship other than rod fit was very good. So in the end I am very satisfied with curtain appearance, all patterns lined up well and the curtains hang well. What really annoys me about this whole experience is that I feel my rod was not really lost at Unlimited Design, I feel they did not want to give it to me so I could check rod fit in the store. I could have worked with
them on the spot to resolve my problem, but because the rod was not there I had to run all over the city to buy rods TWICE; once to get a replacement for the lost rod that didn?t fit, and again to find smaller round rods that I liked. I really like the folks at Unlimited Design, and they do try to satisfy the customer, this project was just handled badly. I would not use them again to
make curtains for me, I can?t get past the poor rod pocket fit, given the detailed info and rod that I provided. I would use them for furniture refinishing, I think they excel at that, please see my other review.

Communications with Unlimited Design were very good and our project was completed in a timely manner with excellent quality. They picked up and delivered all items, and thoroughly reviewed exactly what needed to be done. The biggest part of the project was to refinish a cabinet that was sitting in a basement for at least 25 years before we moved down to Florida. The cabinet finish was extremely poor, and the interior had shelves and back with many cut out holes, this may have been some kind of radio cabinet at one time. All existing shelves were removed, and the interior was completely rebuilt. The cabinet was stripped and refinished to match a door section of our existing furniture. The end result was amazing, far surpassing my expectations! All of the cabinet wood tones matched our existing furniture very well, and it appears as if all of the furniture was purchased together as a group. My other furniture may change and be replaced over time, but my refinished cabinet will remain in our family forever! We now have one of the nicest liquor cabinets I have ever seen. The second major item needing refinishing was a coffee table, and again an excellent job was done in matching the finish of our existing end tables. The last two items were smaller jobs, to strip and refinish a small metal stove and smoking stand. Again, the work was very satisfactory, and we have rescued these items from our garage. All in all, I can?t say enough about the excellent work that was done for a reasonable price. I am already in the process of doing another job with these fine folks who were most cordial when I stopped in to see their business. I would recommend Unlimited Design to everyone!
Update: Unlimited Design was asked to make us a custom cushion for the bench seating area in our master bedroom, around February 7, 2012. They cut us a foam cushion to measurements I provided, and covered it with material we provided from Jo-Ann's Fabric. Work was completed within a reasonable time, and the workmanship was excellent. We now have a very nice custom cushion that looks fantastic in our master bedroom. Cost of labor and foam was a reasonable $165, and with material we got on sale for $30 dollars, we got a great cushion for under $200. My thanks again to the Unlimited Design team.
