Our outdoor faucet sprung a leak where the copper tubing enters the house.  John reconstructed the tubing and replaced the faucet in a very professional manner.  He was able to help us even earlier than promised.  We will use this company again when the need arises.

They came out right away and prevented me from having a high water bill. Their price was half the price of another company’s I had received.

We had water leaking from  the baseboard in the room on the other side of our guest bathroom wall. We knew it was from the tub/shower and were very worried because there was no access to the plumbing in the wall in this house that was built in the late 80's. I called Abaco Plumbing because of the reviews I read on Angie's list and I am very happy that I did. Boyce the owner answered and arranged to have James come out and take a look right away.
James arrived and was a very knowledgeable plumber however he said that he needed access to the plumbing and suggested that I call another contractor who could cut a hole in the tile wall of my shower. He gave me the contact information for a tile contractor that he works with often in these types of situations. James said that he and the tile contractor would co-ordinate the work and they did!
Once the plumbing inside the wall was exposed James came back and very efficiently replaced the plumbing as well as the shower head, wall plate and faucet to the tub with very nice Moen fixtures and high quality copper pipes in the wall. I was pretty surprised when he said it was all less than $300.00. 
James also told me how to replace my filter in my refrigerator as the ice machine had stopped working and he was right on. We now have our shower working again AND ice in our drinks. The tile man did a GREAT job too and very reasonable also.

Called ABACO from Chicago. They gave a reasonable estimate over the phone and sent a plumber the next morning. He replaced the old gate valve with a quarter turn ball valve for the estimated price of $125.

I DID HAVE SOME ISSUES WITH THEM NOT SHOWING UP THE FIRST TIME BUT, WHEN I CALLED TO ASK WHERE THEY WERE THEY SAID THEY WERE VERY SORRY FOR THE MIX UP AND CAME RIGHT OUT. WHEN THE HOT WATER HEATER WAS INSTALLED THE TEMP WAS NOT SET HIGH ENOUGH AND A VALVE WAS LEFT OFF SO I DID HAVE TO CALL THEM TO COME BACK OUT AND FIX IT. THEY DID AND DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR IT.

My husband took care of it, so I don’t know the price. They were very nice and very helpful. We like their service, and we felt that they were very pleasant to work with.

We called at 8:30 AM and the service man was here by 10:30.  He diagnosed the problem and relaced parts.  All was completed by 11:00.  The service man was polite and professional. 

ABACO PLUMBING SERVICE did great work and were very punctual. they cleaned up after themselves and took care of the old water heater. i would use them again.

The water pressure in one of our showers was low. Abaco came out within a day or two, took apart the mechanism and found that the anti-scald thingee was in the wrong position. By turning it, they solved the problem. The also changed two thingees in one of the toilets. They charged their minimum service call charge of $95 plus about $20 for the two parts. They were especially neat and personable.

Abaco Plumbing replaced my water heater, which had stopped working. I also had problems with low water pressure and slow drainage in both in both showers, which they fixed. In order to fix one of the showers, they had to cut into the drywall in the closet behind the shower. they repaired the drywall when they were finished. Before they came to the house, they asked if they could check all of my shut-off valves (main and at both toilets). The replaced all three with new handles that are much easier to turn in the event of an emergency. They checked my kitchen sink and ice maker and found those to be in good working order. I appreciated their thorough check-up. I had several plumbing problems, but didn't know who to call, so I just lived with them. After checking Angie's List, my daughter called Abaco for me, and they were able to fix everything, even problems that others had been unable to fix in the past. BJ, the office manager, was kind and extremely helpful. The plumbers were professional and courteous. They followed up with my daughter to make sure everything had been handled appropriately. Now that I have someone reliable to call, I won't have to wait when I have a problem.

The entire experience with Abaco Plumbing was excellent. I called for an estimate, and I had one within 2 days. They started the job, and told me that they may be breaking some of the tiles in order to put in the tub. They recommended a wonderful tile man to see what could be done in that area. I liked the idea of new tiles, so the plumber said he would wait to finish the job until the tiles were in and set. As soon as the tiles were set, the plumber came back and finished the job. I am amazed at the quality of work done by this company.

After an initial visit, could not fix the problem without additional parts from the manufacturer. Once they arrived, problem was corrected immediately.

I was tired of my old plumbing company. I had used them for years, paid through the nose and the problems were only partially fixed. I had heard of Angie's list a few years back when I read a story about the company and figured what the heck. There has to be a plumber in there that other's have used that they liked. I saw Abaco Plumbing and everyone gave it high ratings, so I called about two clogged drains that were slow in draining on Friday night. Boyce asked if I needed it fixed that night, but I said it could wait until Monday. Monday morning he called at 8:45 and was their by 9:15 AM. The shower drain was quick to fix but the sink required a snake to go almost to the septic tank to clear. I then asked about the toilet handle that you had to hold down to flush. Boyce looked at it and said I would need to replace the flush valve. He said that it would be $15 for the part and asked if that was OK. He also suggested replacing the ballcock since it wasn't seating correctly. He went to his truck and came back saying he didn't have the part with him, but he would go get it and not charge us for an additional service call. He came back later and fixed the toilet. I have had this toilet fixed for the same problem a few times in the past. The other plumbing company (initials P.D.) never fixed the problem correctly and charged 3 times the price. Abaco Plumbing fixed it and the I would definitely use their services again. He also did something which I haven't heard from a contractor in years. He thanked me for the business. I never thought that I would rave about a toilet flushing, but it has never worked this well before. I was so happy with the end result that I went to work telling my co-workers that I finally found a reputable plumber to use!
